My Pip-squeak,

You probably thought you were safe from getting a Valentine’s card from me, huh? Not in this lifetime.

So, it's a bit strange doing this now after everything... and there are no words I can say to make up for leaving you in the dark for so long. It pains me to know that you were in so much pain because of me. We made a promise this year to spend every holiday with each other, just like always. Funny how Valentine’s Day is the first one on the list.

But it gives me an excuse to remind you that you are my world. My lifeline. That single star that brightens the night sky, and the sun that shines to brighten my life.

I could go on about all the things I love about you. The way you pout when you lose a video game. The way you smile when you’re eating your favorite meal. The way you blush when you’re embarrassed about something. The way the tip of your nose turns a little red when you're sick and how you can't sleep until you know I'll be home...

These are the things I hold dear. You. I hold dear.

Maeve, I am who I am because of you. I don’t think I tell you that enough.

Anyway, I could drag this on forever. There’s a lot more I want to say, but I think telling you in person would be better.

mephi! [it feels like she hasn't seen him in forever, even if she knows mephisto is always around.]

[she places the bundle of flowers down and examines the crow's beak before pecking it, gently rubbing the side of her finger under his beak.] thank you for bringing these. i missed you.
