Arcane headcanons ranging from canon compliant to “death we don’t know her” part 4

Ekko has really bad disassociation and needs to be kinda pulled back into the real world sometimes

Vi can’t be in confined spaces and will get panic attacks she also has really bad flash backs (idc if it’s kinda inaccurate let me live)

Cait had trouble shooting for a long time after losing her eye and broke down about it. There was a really difficult time of adjustment where she had to heavily rely on Vi it was really hard for her. She also gets debilitating headaches now that can leave her bed ridden 

Literally everyone has nightmares 

Sevika is secretly the one person in the cast whose actually good at dealing with loss and the smoking gambling and brothel going were things she did pre-trama

pacific rim fucks severely for a lot of reasons but my favorite is that it opens with "the lizard aliens are unionizing so we built robots running on the power of love to fight them you got all that right" and before you have time to really process that concept bam gunshot body on the floor and the movie goes "now consider the vast power of grief in this setup" it never really stops considering

jkr vs john green

jkr and john green have both dedicated the last several years of their lives to thinking about and combatting one single thing that most people don't think about as a big problem. They've both given money, posted constantly on social media, and lobbied the government about their chosen enemy

both of them are against something starting with the letter t

the difference between them is that john green is against tuberculosis, a disease of injustice that kills millions of people a year

jkr is against trans people, a marginalized group who need people fighting FOR them, not against them

so i guess what I'm saying is it's ok to have an enemy that you fight tirelessly against even if other people think it's weird

but choose an enemy that's bad

Now here's what she looks like aiming at Jinx in s2e3

She is incredibly distorted. She looks unhinged (because she is). Not only is her eye enlarged, it's also segmented into pieces, fractured. It's illustrating her mental state. And it's so notably different from fall the other times we've seen her take aim.

For all the characters in Arcane, their weapons are part of their personalities. Caitlyn being a sniper is an illustrtion of her clear-sightedness. She notices details, she's deductive, she can use reason to figure things out.

In this shot, that's all gone. Her vision, normally so clear, is all fucked up. Not only is she in a bad state emotionally, she's also not processing things rationally.

I think it's a really cool shot that makes great use not only of the props in the scene, but also of visual language that the show has built up with Caitlyn.
