Hiatus Announcement
Hello dear followers,
I am sure that most of you already know this, but if you donât I am currently attending my top choice pharmacy school. Yay! That being said with the pandemic still going on and with classes being on Zoom, while I do have technically more downtime, itâs a bit of a struggle with balancing school, studying, adulting, and even downtime for relaxation. Therefore, I will be in an indefinite hiatus which will include my current Gakuen Babysitters fanfiction. Thank you for being understanding, and good luck and wishing you all good health, happiness, and safety in the comfort of your home.

Little Red Riding Hood: Gakuen Babysitters Edition, Part 2
Part 1
For a toddler with itty bitty jelly bean legs, KotarĆ moves quite quickly, which doesnât help the red-haired older brother figure out why he went on his own while chasing him. RyĆ«ichi has a tendency to worry about his green-haired baby brother, which only worsens his apprehensiveness. If only Usaida was there to help him, as the pink-haired sleepy caretaker has quite the intuition in figuring out childrenâs thoughts and actions. Saikawa, the Chairwoman, the Chairwomanâs son, and Yukari mentored him in childcare and how to be teacher during the earlier days of the daycare center, in which Usaida then internalizes many of their advice and studies them with his own âHow to be a Teacherâ study notes every night, which does mostly explain his default sleepiness. This hidden secret is quite hilarious considering that one time while KotarĆ stayed with him as RyĆ«ichi went off to his school exhibition trip, Usaida didnât want KotarĆ to find his study notes even though the naĂŻve toddler stumbled upon his more⊠mature materials to then look at his teacher manuals.
KotarĆ stops near a certain double door, in which RyĆ«ichi finally catches up to him and notices where the pathway that the two went leads to. âHuh? This is kitchen. What were you planning to do, KotarĆ?â RyĆ«ichi noted. âOh, RyĆ«ichi-sama and KotarĆ-sama. Superb timing. I was just going to inform you that lunch is ready,â Saikawa says while walking to the Kashima brothers down the hallway. âSa-cha! Shaggy!â the toddler says while noticing the rather fluffy gray blanket that is neatly folded under the dapper blondâs arms. âAh, yes KotarĆ-sama. How very observant of you, as usual. This is a cotton fleece blanket that Usaida-sama made for the Chairwoman. I was just finishing drying this after washing it,â Saikawa notes while unfolding the blanket to show the collaborative project. Usaida-san made that? I know that he made the vegetable costumes for the kids and me during our school culture festival, but I never knew how artistic he can be. RyĆ«ichi mentally noted.
The blanket already looked luxurious enough that it almost look like it was made of silk⊠until the Kashima brothers noticed Saikawaâs touch: graphic of RyĆ«ichi, KotarĆ, Saikawa, and YĆko that was seemed to be made with cross-stitching. The style being much like the time Saikawa drew RyĆ«ichi on a yellow ball when he was âplayingâ with KotarĆ, who still keeps it in his toy box. Wow thatâs⊠impressive. I guess he became a lot more productive since quarantine? RyĆ«ichi thought while sweat-dropping in embarrassment and also touched by the symbolic implications that the four were indeed a family: a new family that he sometimes wished that his and his brotherâs parents met each other before the plane incident, but now visit their respective graves including the Chairwomanâs son and wife as often and as safely as possible.
âOh, thank you Saikawa-san,â RyĆ«ichi responds while bringing back to the topic. âActually KotarĆ was planning to do something in the kitchen, but Iâm not sure what heâs thinkingâŠâ One glance exchange between the green olive-haired toddler and the hybrid butler/secretary with KotarĆ claiming âBa-cha get-well-giff!â was all the info Saikawa needed. âI see now. How thoughtful of you. You plan on making something for the Chairwoman as a get-well-gift, correct?â âUng!â he answered with his default way of communicating of head nods, which was becoming endearing to everyone and even strangers before the pandemic. âLemo-cha!â
Oh so thatâs what he meant. Heâs so sweet and considerate. Just like the time I was sick and he, Obaa-san, and Saikawa-san nursed me back to health with KotarĆâs lemon teaâ No! I canât start crying now. I should help him. RyĆ«ichi mentally says while also taking part of KotarĆ determination⊠until suddenly *growls* âEh? UmmâŠâ RyĆ«ichi mumbles with a growing blush. *growls* âUngâŠâ KotarĆ mirrors in surprise while putting one tiny hands on his tummy while still holding the picture book close to his body. Since the hallway was very clean and not full of decorations, hearing the brothersâ stomach growls was easily detectable. With a light chuckle, Saikawa says, âWell we shouldnât keep tarrying on then, should we? Please head on to the dining room so that I can serve you lunch.â as he bows and heads to the kitchen.
âHow about we eat lunch first? Canât help nurse others when we canât take care of ourselves, can we? Obaa-san would for sure not approve of that.â The older Kashima brother suggests to the little one. âUng~!â Kotaro replies. As they enter the dining room and taken their seats, with RyĆ«ichi putting KotarĆ in his seat booster while taking off the red makeshift hood â Saikawa enters with lunch that includes lightly-salted grilled mackerel â deboned with pristine precision that rivals master sushi chefs â with rice, miso soup, and kinpira gobo, scaled to the appropriate serving sizes for all three of them. âThank you for the food,â RyĆ«ichi thanks with clapped hands while KotarĆ mirrors and says, âTâank for food.â As usual, Saikawaâs cooking is superb and then both brothers give their respects to the man. âI am always honored to serve you two. Speaking of which, have you finished reading âLittle Red Riding Hoodâ? I am going to give the Chairwoman her meal, which is a simple rice porridge made with chicken, ginger, ginseng, and leeks after I have collected your dishes,â Saikawa noted while observing that the picture book was besides KotarĆâs dishes.Â
âOh no itâs fine, weâll put away our dishes wonât we? And weâll continue where we left off.â RyĆ«ichi reassures while turning to Kotaro, in which the toddlers nods with his usual grunt. âVery well then. Please do continue to enjoy reading.â Saikawa bids them off to then deliver the Chairwomanâs meal. RyĆ«ichi collected both of his and KotarĆâs dishes to then head to the kitchen sink, in which he wash, scrubbed, and rinsed the dishes while handling them to KotarĆ to dry with clean towels (with some assistance to make sure the little one didnât accidentally drop it).
âAlright then, how about we continue reading âLittle Red Riding Hoodâ, KotarĆ?â the older Kashima brother suggests. âUng~!â is KotarĆâs expected happy response. The duo heads back to their room and resume reading together. However, will learn later on how this book decides to tell this version of âLittle Red Riding HoodââŠ

Gakuen Babysitters Challenge Day 13
Prompt: Favorite couple/ship
Hmm... this is a tough one... Iâll have to say Maria and Yuki. Cause good lord Ryuichi is so dense of their feelings that they might as well date each other. Hehehe I see you trying to be sly stating that theyâre good friends... how about close friends developing intoâoop

Gakuen Babysitter Challenge Day 12
Prompt: Marry/Kiss/Hug
Hehehe you might not expect some of my answers...
Marry Saikawa for sure cause he can do all of the housework LIKE A BOSS. Very husband-able *chefâs kiss*
Kiss: Kirinâs dad LOL. I forgot what his name is, but honestly that would be so hilarious. Plus he is pretty handsome too. Though to be honest with his over-the-top protectiveness of his daughter and how he and Yayoi met he is SO DARN LUCKY to be Yayoiâs husband.
Considering that he found Ryuichi cute and all in this scene... I donât know he gives off bisexual vibes? Or heâs just fabulously flamboyant.
Hug: ALL OF THE BABIES~

Gakuen Babysitters Challenge Day 11
Prompt: Best adult
I would choose Saikawa again, but Iâll give the shoutout to another character. YokĆ Morinomiya aka the Chairwoman. I always love hearing advice from elders and sheâs essentially RyĆ«ichiâs new grandmother (despite what Saikawa insisting that sheâs the father from the OVA LMAO). She reminds me of my own maternal grandmother: a bit crabby, unexpectedly savage, and funny whenever I try to communicate with my broken Vietnamese.

Gakuen Babysitters Challenge Day 10
Prompt: Favorite babysitter
Definitely Ryuichi. I feel like if I were in the universe I would be the most similar to him, such that I would be hard-working and dependable, but a bit of an airhead at times too. Plus he always makes this face which is such a mood.

Gakuen Babysitters Days 7-9
Oh dear Iâm behind once again. Please do excuse this as I am going to literally move to a different U.S. state for pharmacy school.
Day 7: Opening or Ending?
As much as I love Daisuke One, I love the ending even more. Cause hello? Dancing bouncy babies?
youtube
Already beats the edgy and predictable Devilman Crybaby. Sorry to those who like that series. I donât hate it cause wowee so much mature content, but I personally like relaxers like Gakuen Babysitters.
Day 8: Favorite character
Okay this one I can definitely say Saikawa. Heâs so mysterious yet gives such a comfy vibe. Plus he is so OP compared to everyone else who can cook, clean, garden, and so much more. Psst, Chairwoman where can I find a bae like Saikawa?
Day 9: Favorite baby
I canât believe you would make me choose one of my children... (â.ââ) Well obviously itâs Kotaro-kun even though I have Kazuma-kun as my current desktop profile pic. Influencers WISH they can be as cute as KotarĆ.
Case closed.

Gakuen Babysitters Challenge Day 6
Prompt: Best quote
Another difficult thing to answer because there are so many good ones.
BUT
I would have to say the concluding quotes in Chapter 67, about Ryuichiâs birthday. Especially given the context that his birthday is on July 30.
RyĆ«ichi. If you can keep growing up healthy like now, wouldnât your parents be pleased? - YĆko Morinomiya
Kotarou, thanks to you my birthday was spent filled with incomparable bliss and happiness. - Ryƫichi Kashima

Gakuen Babysitters Challenge Day 5
So sorry for the mini-hiatus. Iâm currently prepping to move out to my out-of-state off-campus student apartments in like 10 days.
ANYWAYS
Question: Favorite part.
Hmm that is a tough choice. I would have to say this scene from episode 6 where Ryuichi got his hand hit and Kotaro was so shook like HOW COULD ANYONE HIT MY NII-CHA?!?!?!

Gakuen Babysitter Challenge Days 2-4
Questions: Which did you see/read first (anime or manga)? When did you meet Gakubaby? How did you learn Gakubaby existed?
Continuing the challenge from @gakubabyâ
I feel like these questions ask very similar things so Iâm gonna answer them altogether.
I discovered the anime first from a series of screenshots on Facebook of episode 6 when Kotaro was carrying his brotherâs lunch to deliver it to him. To which I was able to find the anime on GogoAnime .And then I saw even more Gakubaby stuff here on Tumblr when I first created mine back like mid 2018. My dedication to learn more about the series led me to the wonderful team @cafescansâ and @kumapillowâ for the manga scanlations. When there was an OVA coming summer 2018, I was hyped, BUT IT WASNâT released. I managed to find the unsubbed raw OVA so I took it upon myself to fansub it accordingly thanks to the translated chapters and my understanding of Japanese. I think thatâs why I have so many followers which I legit did not expect to have in such a short period of time.

This is just *chefâs kiss* đđ

Gakubaby Challenge Day 1
Question: Why do you love Gakuen Babysitters?
As tagged by awesome @gakubabyâ. I donât know if there is a specific time frame that the challenge should be done in, but I guess Iâll start.
I love how cute the babies and children are drawn. Normally Iâm not a fan of children due to having babysat my younger cousins who by default are the devilâs offspring once theyâve hit the terrible 2âČs. But I would like to be a mentor for kids and other younger people about life and how to adult smartly and efficiently should they want to go to college. I had slight baby fever the first moment I saw KotarĆ and being so warmed up throughout the whole season with the wholesomeness, cuteness, and comedy.
Gakuen Babysitters is leagues better than Boku to Baby (Baby and Me) which is a very old anime that has the same themes as Gakuen Babysitters, but I quit watching it like around episode 8 due to how angry it made me. The dad puts his elder son Takuya (whoâs still in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL FYI) in charge of taking care of the house and his younger baby brother Minoru. Iâm sorry, but you canât expect a literal minor to be both mature enough to be a housemaker while also having a childhood. Ya canât have it both ways like Persona 4 (and Golden) with Nanako Doujima (and as much as I love the series I have a lot of critiques).
Yo Brainâs Base if you need funding for producing more seasons to Gakuen Babysitters I am more than happy to start a fundraiser and boost it with a HUGE start... once I start making it LOL oh the struggles of being a student.
I would love more people to participate in this challenge because I am determined to not let this fandom fade away and be shadowed by hot garbage like BNHA. Gakubaby series should be top tier like Fruits Basket and Kaguya-sama Love is War.
