UPDATE: well…my former fiancé showed up to the sister’s funeral and the CIA captured him and brutally tortured him to death for information on my ex-girlfriend’s location. I was forced to watch him die to teach me what happens to those who fraternize with witches.

And my ex miiiight be having a complete manic breakdown right now over the whole ‘lover being brutally tortured to death and crucified trying to save her life’ thing (she’s currently the subject of a five-state Amber Alert. It’s a long story.)

Starting to suspect I might BTA after all….WDID???

I (24f) am a politician in a highly public position that I’ve been working hard for several years to secure. I am recently engaged to my fiancé (27m), a famous trust baby who joined the CIA because he had connections with various intelligence operatives.

Everything seemed to be going great, but on the night of our engagement party, he suddenly gets a call and leaves. I follow him out of concern, and eventually find him at the Capital helping my ex-girlfriend* (25f) escape the police while holding a gun to my boss’ head (!!).

* to make a long story short: my ex and I had a bit of a dramatic breakup and she kinda went off the deep end and became a radical terrorist. She’s now wanted by INTERPOL - it’s like a whole thing. I’m still probably in love with her but that’s not important to this.

And my fiancé has the nerve to start yelling at ME to stay out of it, even though I’m ENGAGED to him and it’s MY ex-girlfriend he’s talking to!

But then here’s the kicker: when I’m like wtf is going on here?? Explain??? He says he’s RUNNING AWAY WITH MY EX GIRLFRIEND??? TO BECOME A FREEDOM FIGHTER?? AND LEAVING ME?!?

So bc I’m not stupid, I’m like “oh my god you’ve been cheating on me for several years with my TERRORIST EX-GIRLFRIEND” and my ex says “no bby we weren’t I promise!!” But then HE says “but we did have kinda a thing ngl” WHICH??!!??? WTF???

Well, they run off and leave me behind to clean up their messes. Again. Soooo I may have gotten a little bit mad and told the director of the CIA afterwards that the best plan for capturing them is to murder my ex-girlfriend’s physically disabled sister (23f). Not my proudest moment but I wasn’t in a great head space!! You can’t blame me!!

Anyways, I’m currently looking at a house with a dead corpse under it (my ex’s sister), and I miiiight have stolen the sister’s shoes and given them to the CIA operative who murdered her just so my ex couldn’t have them. And now my ex is sitting on the floor sobbing over her sister’s mangled body.

Be honest….AITA???

friend of mine was sleeping whilst another friend and i were talking about nonsense. at some point we were talking about how trains honked anyway in the no horn zone that we had both lived in at one point. either without waking up, or waking up so briefly as to not disturb her sleep, our sleeping friend turned over to face us and solemnly intoned "Trains are required by federal law to sound the horn three times at a grade crossing". then she was gone again. we shook her gently- no response, out cold. she didn't remember it in the morning.

"Wonderful" vs "The Wizard and I" parallels (mild Wicked Act II spoilers under the cut, but know, those colors are not just for the LGBT rainbows)

Jon M. Chu and Academy Award winner Nathan FUCKING Crowley are INSANE for this. I don't know which one of you came up with this, but you guys are absolutely insane.

The Wizard and I is obviously a song about Elphaba wanting to be with the Wizard and change the world with him. In the movie, they use this spinning colorful glass thing, and the light shining through it, as Elphaba dreams about not being green anymore. Interestingly enough, if you light Elphaba's green skin with pink light, it results in a color very close to Cynthia Erivo's natural skin color, and Jon confirmed that this is 100% intentional.

And pink obviously means Glinda.

Back in What is This Feeling, Elphaba is lit with pink but only from one side, and it has the same effect.

In Wonderful on stage, the Wizard tempts Elphaba with rehabilitating her image and getting exactly what she dreamed about. But in the movie, unlike on stage, it seems like he has Glinda as a part of this temptation as well. We don't know yet how the scene will play out exactly, but what we can see with our own eyes is that the exact same colors show up, spinning around, and I think the scene with Elphaba and Glinda bathed in pink is part of the same sequence as well (you can see parts of the Wizard's throne room wall on the sides in the background) and just... my brain explodes from this.

Obviously Wonderful already had the music cue from The Wizard and I in it, but to give us this strong of a visual for it. I am just constantly amazed by these filmmakers. 😭

The real tragedy about the barricade is that we don’t know how much is true. Victor Hugo was there at the June Rebellion, so what is fact and what is fiction? That question gives me chills because we’ll never know.

POV: your best friend (girlfriend?) joined a terrorist organization that is clearly failing (badly). You use all your political power to get her a pardon from the president so that she can return to a normal life, and you’re SO CLOSE to getting her to accept….and then she tries to kill the president and runs off to have sex with YOUR FIANCÉ (who also tries to kill the president whoops)
