Thin privilege Is real, and you would know all about it. You're thin. Guys don't look at you in disgust, you get cat calls walking down the street. Store employees don't look at you weird when you walk into a store that probably doesn't have your size. I am 5' 8" and 270 pounds and I am discriminated against daily. Thin privilege is very real, and you have it. I don't
OH MY GOD. No, thin privilege is not real. I am not thin, like, I’m really not (but I am doing something about that, not for y’all but for me). People do look at me in disgust, but there are also people who look at me with lust in their eyes and sometimes I do get cat calls walking down the street. Store employees do look at me weird sometimes, but I call them out on that shit if I catch them. You’re 5’8 and almost 300 pounds. I’m not a doctor, but that is very unhealthy. You are obese and at the risk of dying at a young age because of that and you’re fucking worried about “thin privilege”? Are you fucking serious right now?!If you honestly feel discriminated about your weight, which is something you have the power to change, fucking change it. Don’t sit there and fucking bitch behind anon.THIN PRIVILEGE DOES NOT EXIST NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SIT THE FUCK DOWN.

Just some good old fashioned reasonable ideas. This girl, she gets it - be happy, but be healthy - and wanting to be healthy and thin isn't being a traitor, it isn't being ashamed or supporting thin privilege, or anything. It's just fucking fine.
I don’t see why many feel the need to glamorize obesity. I remember when I was rather skinny as a child because I thought that I had to starve myself to help the rest of my family get more food for themselves. I was also convinced that I had diabetes. When I went to the doctor, she informed me...

The target demo for Target is not plus size and never has been - hence the minimal "plus size" section. Do you go into Forever21 and take pictures of the fact they don't have a "plus size" section? Nope. Listen, A consequence of being a lardass is that we don't get to shop wherever we want to, and we have to pay more for our Omar the Tentmaker clothes. To see this as a "privilege" of being thin is fucked up logically, because it's not - it's a consequence of being fat. What's next, we're going to be shitty because Starbucks doesn't upcharge for skinny drinks but upcharges for extra whip/extra milk? Protest Wendy's becuase lettuce is free but extra cheese costs a buck? Cause uhm, that's the same logic.

We all know how big the clothing section is at any Target. This is what I get to work with, one rack of plus size. One whole rack. Thin privilege is real. #thinprivilege #plussize #targetsucks

Q/A Time
From the blog of a self described "Food enthusiast" "Oh, another fun fact: my dad also went out and bought the family — and by the family I mean everyone but me — Baskin Robins quarts of ice cream. HE DIDN’T EVEN ASK ME. Didn’t even consider me. I’m not pissed because I don’t have ice cream, I’m pissed because he thinks I’m too fat to ha e ice cream.
I’m so frustrated. I don’t know what else to do. I consume approximately 1500 calories and burn 2300+. Why aren’t I losing weight? Why am I gaining weight faster than ever? I’ve gained 20 lbs in the last 5ish months."
Because you're lying about what you're doing.
You're gaining four pounds per month, or an extra pound per week. That means that each day you're eating about a thousand extra calories above and beyond what you're supposed to eat to simply maintain your weight. It's simple math. It's not magical. If you really are ending each day in a deficit of 800 calories then you would be LOSING about a pound or two (depending on your weight) per week with no questions asked. The fact that you're gaining it? Well... like I said. You're lying. And if you're not, then you need to go to the doctor, stat, because even the most narcissistic parents would notice that you're restricting your diet, exercising for two to three hours a day suddenly from sedentary lifestyle and still gaining weight. Once you stop lying to yourself and start doing what you say you're doing, you'll find out that dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuun, the weight will fall off. How do I know? Because I'm currently doing that. Stop lying to yourself, and to everyone else.
