Happy client! Great to deliver this amazing #EnglishWalnut #livingedge #diningtable to Kate and James in Surbiton this week. Made from #Walnut from the Whitfield Estate of Lord Clive in Herefordshire this monumentally heavy table is 2.8m long x approx. 1.2m wide and has some lovely little personal items resin embedded down the far end... Off to the Smoke to deliver this little beauty to the #LouiseBradley warehouse today ready for shipping over to the client in #Jersey. Well, not so little actually (!)... 3.1m x 1.3m English #Chestnut, with a subtle lightening undercoat to desaturate the colour of the timber, plus a number of top coats in an understated semi-matt hardwax-oil. The first of a couple of deliveries in London yesterday - this one is an eye-popping #EnglishYew #bespokediningtable for Glen and his wife in Belsize Park - the stunning colours - cream, orange, salmon with little hints of purple and dark browns on the #liveedge and inside the natural voids in the timber make #Yew totally unique. For a 2.1m by approx. 90cm table it's also very heavy as we found out getting it up the stairwell to the flat 😵! https://instagr.am/p/CMjhDx2BsL3/

Huge single slab Scottish #Elm table made for Gemma and her young family up North with all the gnarly live-edges left on and cracks left open. It's 2.8m long by about 1.3m wide and 65mm thick, and was given two undercoats of #Osmo Raw lightening oil before finishing off with a few coats of semi-matt hardwax-oil. Great to see this Olive Ash table we made featuring in such a fab kitchen, designed by award-winning Holloways of Ludlow! It has two matching bowkeys, two resin-embedded Dorset ammonite fossils and hand-patinated raw steel legs - a real beauty. Reposted from @kitchensbyholloways: .............................. It’s all about the space. On this scheme the client came to us asking for something different, he wanted something to stand out and create a wow effect entering the room. Our designer describes it as a quirky and very fun project to be a part of. And of course very rewarding being nominated for the Design Award’s category Best Kitchen. Behind what looks like a tall cupboard door hides a surprising walk-in pantry. The fronts are of blackened oak with black metal trimming and concealed handles.
