I don’t really have much to say about this because Elena isn’t exactly a special character to me, but she literally is the center of the show so TVD without Nina seems like it will be missing something. Hopefully they’ll have a logical explanation or something that will smooth the transition.

The ONLY reason I started watching TVD was because of Nina Dobrev. I had no intention of watching it, but I love Degrassi so when Nina left, I decided I liked her enough as an actress to watch her new show, even if it was about stupid vampires. Granted, it took me 4 years to actually get around to watching it, but as soon as I watched the first episode of TVD, I fell in love and thanked Nina for introducing me to this amazing show. Following this trend, I’ll probably still watch any show Nina is in, though I will probably never love it as much as I love TVD. Without Nina, I would have never found my favorite TV show because I would never in a million years watch TVD if Nina wasn’t the star.

She got me into this, and I’m sad to see her leave, but I guess it’s time for her to move on and expand her acting horizons. She is a brilliant actress so I feel like she will do well in whatever she decides to do next.

She was the most beautiful girl I had ever met. She had this perfect olive skin, and she had this laugh; it was ridiculous, her laugh made you laugh. And she was fun, she knew how to have a good time. But Katherine was also very impatient, and entitled, and selfish… and impulsive.
