After a particularly difficult one, you drag yourself towards her room. Flinging the door open you fall on the bed and curl into a ball. Laying there with light tears in your eyes, you hear the door open and slow footsteps. The bed dips and fingers tangle into your hair, massaging your scalp and you close your eyes with a sigh. Neither of you say anything knowing that right now all you both need is silence. You lean back against her and she wraps her arms around you, holding you as close as possible. You lost so many people today… so many people, just gone. Hange sending your tears, runs a hand across your cheek and wipes them away. You turn over and let yourself be held. Starting to doze off, you let out a content sigh. Laying here, surrounded by warmth, the pain doesn’t go away but at least it lightens up a bit.

“Y/N, STOP IT!” I laugh loudly as Sasha yells at me. It’s been close to two hours of telling spooky stories and you finally got one that made everyone cave.

“Okay, okay! I’m done.” Grinning wide, I set back down on a log and feel the warmth of the campfire. Turning towards Sasha I drop my face into a horrified look as I stare past her shoulder. In reality there’s nothing behind her, but she jumps up and runs towards Jean, absolutely freaking out.

“What! What’s there!?” She stares at you wide-eyed. Trying to keep my composure, I fail and start dying of laughter once again.

“I’m sorry Sasha! You’re just too easy to scare…” I wipe the tears from my eyes and take a few deep breaths. Sasha just huffs and plops down on the log next to Jean and Connie. I pull my cloak around me and shiver lightly as the fire starts to die down. I go to stand up to grab more firewood, but get gently shoved back down. I look up and see Captain Levi. He nods at me and goes to grab more wood. You watch as he takes careful steps around everyone towards the area with our tents.

I’d never admit this to anyone, but I find that man so incredibly attractive. The way he holds himself alone is enough to kill a lady, but he’s also got these piercing eyes and such an intense way about him. He’s shorter, but I’ve only got a few inches on him. I wonder if he makes up for that somewhere else… I feel my face getting hot at the idea and I use my cloak to cover it. Levi walks back, tossing some logs into the fire and sits back down.

“Hey, you okay?” He partially grunts out. I quickly nod, keeping my face covered.

“Just cold!” Ugh. That came out a little too enthusiastically. I throw a quick glance at him and see he’s staring me down. He hums and slowly nods before looking away.

Looking around the camp, everyone seems pretty preoccupied. Eren, Mikasa and Armin are all talking about something that happened in training. Connie and Jean are picking fun at Sasha. I’m not even sure when or why I sat next to him, but Levi and I have been uncomfortably close on this log for awhile. I could have sworn we were sitting further away before he got up to get wood… Did he sit closer to me after he came back? I look down at the little space in between us, his hand dangerously close to my thigh. I start imagining what his hands would feel like, rubbing and grabbing my legs. Would they be soft or rough? Would he even do that?

I’m yanked out of my daydream by someone standing up and yelling about it being late and needing to go to bed. A few others mutter in agreement and head towards their respective tents. I look around and see that other than me and Levi, Eren is still sat looking at the fire. His face stretches into a slow yawn as he stands up.

“I think I’m gonna head to bed too, goodnight Y/N.” He sends me a soft smile and a small nod to Levi.

“Goodnight, Eren.” I give him a small wave and watch as he climbs into his tent.

I hear Levi clear his throat and I feel my body tense. “I-I should head to bed too, sir.”

I gather some things and lean to stand up just as Levi grabs my arm and drags me down. Landing directly onto his lap, I drop my things and gasp. All he does is slowly wrap his arms around my waist.

“Stay. Stay here with me a little longer.” He hums out.

I shiver in response to his low, warm voice and nod.

“Y-yes sir.” I feel him tense slightly.

“You can drop the formalities Y/N, it’s just us here now…” I feel his hand slide down my back and around to my thighs.

I try my hardest to relax, but so many things are running through my mind. I bring my bottom lip in between my teeth and glance down at him. I’m met with two shining eyes, staring me down intensely. I want to look away, but I can’t. I watch his eyes travel down to my lips, before coming back to my eyes.

“Can I ask you something, Y/N?” God. The way my name sounds coming out of this man’s mouth is intoxicating. I nod my head slowly.

“Use your words.” My breath hitches.

“Yes, sir…” I watch his eyes darken slightly. He brings one hand up and wraps it in my hair.

“U-um yeah. I mean yes!” Levi wastes no time and pushes his lips onto mine. My eyes shoot open and then quickly relax as I allow myself to fall further into the kiss.

I hear the zipper slide open, the next thing I know I’m laying on my back with Levi hovering over me. My eyes are wide and staring at his. The sounds of your soft breathing soothes Eren as his eyes flutter open. He glanced out the window and sees the moon is high in the sky. It’s still late… he leans back over and faces you. Watching how your closed eyes flicker back and forth. A piece of your hair that fell onto your face swings up and down as you breathe. For someone who stays so stressed all the time, you sure do look peaceful when you’re asleep. He chuckles to himself. The sound of his laughter stirring you slightly. He reaches out and brushes the back of his fingers against your cheek. He watched as you relax into the pillow with a content sigh. He hums quietly and pushes the stray stand of hair behind your ear. He stays that way for a while, just watching you sleep. Finally, he scoots closer to you, bringing you into his chest. His arms wrap around you and his warm hands caress your back. You snuggle closer to him and take a deep breath, melting into his touch. Eren rests his chin on top of your head, breathing in the sweet smell of your hair. He sighs. Giving you a small kiss, he closes his eyes and lets the comfort of being here with you lull him back to sleep.

Reiner Braun. Humanity’s biggest asshole. Or at least that’s what I thought when I met him, so to be sitting here with him now, having a tea party with some local kids…it’s almost funny. Reiner and I have gotten incredibly close over the past year, I’d even say we’re best friends. Although, lately I’ve been yearning for something a little more from him…

“Hey! Put that down, you’re going to break it, kid!” I snap out of my daydream, looking up to see Reiner chasing some kid who has run off with the teapot. I laugh loudly causing Reiner to look over at me.

“You gonna help or just piss yourself laughing, Y/N?!” All he succeeds in is making me laugh harder.

“I-oh! I-I’m sorry, Reiner. It’s just, how are you getting bested by a kid?!” I choke out through laughter and deep breaths. He huffs and rolls his eyes.

“Just come help me.” He grunts out.

I stand up and look at the little girl running around with the teapot. I walk up to her and put my hand out. “Excuse me miss, but I think that teapot belongs on the table. Wanna go help me put it back?” She smiles up at me with the biggest smile I’ve ever seen.

“Okay! Let’s go!” She takes off running back to the table and I look at Reiner who’s eyes are wide in disbelief.

“How on earth did you do that?!” I chuckle and shrug, “Maybe kids just like me more than they like you.” I sit back down at the table to finish the tea party. Once the sun starts setting, we help the kids back home and head home ourselves. The sun has fully set with the moon and stars making their appearance. I stop walking for a moment and look up.

“Y/N, what are you doing?” Reiner pauses too and looks up with me.

I sigh, “What else do you think is out there? Like do you think there’s more people? What kind of stuff do they have? Are they more advanced than us?” Reiner cuts me off with a laugh.

“Y/N, you trust me… right?“ I look up at him and scrunch my eyebrows.

“Of course I trust you! What kind of question is that?” He looks down at the ground, with a troubled look on his face. I walk over to him and put my hand on his cheek. I rub my thumb up and down.

“Hey… look at me, Reiner. You know you can talk to me about anything. You’re one of my closest friends. I’d never judge you or be angry with you…” He finally looks up and our eyes meet. His golden eyes look dark and confused, like he’s debating something big.

“I-y/n… I need to tell you something, but I’m worried how you’ll react and how you’ll feel about me after I tell you.” My frown gets deeper at his words. An idea pops into my head.

“How about this, you tell me whatever it is and no matter how shocked or angry or whatever I get, I’ll give you ten minutes of silence so that we can try to sort it out. Sound good?” He thinks for a moment and then nods slowly.

We’re sitting on the ground, my back against a tree and him in front of me. He takes a deep breath.

“Here goes nothing… I am the Armored Titan.” He proceeds to tell me, well everything.

My eyes go wide as I sit there in disbelief and shock.

“I-Reiner…” he cuts me off.

“You told me silence!” I shut my mouth and nod. I sit there, thinking about him and everyone else. How everyone’s lives have been turned upside down due to him and what he is. Then I think about my life, how if I hadn’t met Reiner, I would never have had the kind of friendship I have with him. The kind of feelings I have. How no matter what he is or has done I’ll always forgive him. Reiner might just be my favorite person. I look away from the ground and into his eyes, with a smile I reach out to grab his hand. He looks confused, but visibly relaxes.

“So, you’re a titan… as far as I’m concerned you’re still Reiner, my Reiner. My best friend and quite frankly my favorite person…” I trail off, watching for a reaction. He relaxes a bit more.

“I don’t care about who you are or what you’ve done. If we’re getting things off our chests I might as well too. Reiner, I’ve had a crush on you for a little while now and honestly I don’t think you could tell me anything that would change that.” A huge smile breaks out onto his face. The next things I know I’m being pulled into his arms and he’s burying his face into my neck. He sniffs and I can tell he’s crying. I wrap my arms around him and rub his back.

“Are you okay, Reiner?” He nods, but doesn’t say anything. I gently pull him back, our faces only a few inches apart. He slowly inches closer, our noses touch. His eyes trained on my lips.

“Can I kiss you?” My cheeks go red, but I nod quickly.

“Please do!” His lips brush up against mine as my eyes flutter closed. He’s so warm and soft. I pull myself closer to him, now sitting on his lap and deepening the kiss. His hands go up and wrap themself in my hair. Just as the kiss starts to get a little hot and heavy, he pulls back. Both out of breath, we lean our foreheads against each other’s.

“I like you too, Y/N… I have for a while now. I was just too scared to tell you.” I blush at his words and smile.

“Well I’m glad the feelings mutual!” I laugh out. I climb off of him and lean back against the tree, looking up at the sky.

“Tell me about where you’re from.” And he does. We sit with him resting against the tree and my head in his lap. We talk for hours about the kind of things his homeland has. His friends back home and what he misses. We both slowly doze off after wearing ourselves out. Under the stars we sleep against the tree, cuddled up and warm. The one thing I know for sure is, his secret is safe with me. I just hope that if he goes home, he takes me with him.

It’s another freezing day in the Scout’s barracks. It’s been snowing for what feels like 10 years. Due to the heavy snow, we have the day off. I’m grateful because there is NO way I would have survived out in that cold. I slide on my plain clothes and a jumper that Reiner lent me. It’s huge and cozy, it smells like him too. As soon as I’m about to open the main door it comes flying open. “Y/N! Breakfast is almost over, where have you been?!”

Ah, Sasha… the most food motivated individual I think I’ve ever met.

I laugh, “I was just getting dressed, I’m coming don’t worry.”

She smiles at me warmly, “Well then, come on! I’m getting seconds!” She whispers that last part out and I shake my head. We make it down to the dining hall and I see all of my friends sitting and chatting with each other. “Y/N!” My eyes travel the crowd until I see Eren waving at me from across the room. He’s standing next to no other than Captain Levi. “What on earth could he be doing with him?” I think to myself. I start to wave back when I see he’s actually calling me over. I send a glance back to Sasha and she jus shrugs. I sigh and head over to the two men. Well, one man and one boy. I make my way up to them and salute. “Captain Levi, sir.” He nods at me and waves a hand. “It’s okay Y/N, you can relax” Eren looks at me wide-eyed as he says this.

I scrunch my eyebrows in confusion. I drop my salute and stand there somewhat awkwardly. “So, Y/N is it? Titan boy here tells me you’re one of the best soldiers here.” I glance up at Levi, dragging my eyes from the floor.

“I-uh, that’s kind of him to say, sir.” He tilts his head back lightly, I can feel my body tense. “Well, are you? Are you one of the best soldiers here, Y/N?”

I’m pretty sure at this point I’ve physically stopped breathing. I gulp. “I do believe that I am somewhat more advanced than some others here, sir.”

He laughs. He actually laughs! “Is that so? I’d definitely like to see for myself.”

He has a half smirk on his face as he stares me down. I look over at Eren who has the audacity to have an encouraging look on his face. That little shit.

“Sir, with all due respect, I don’t think it would be appropriate for me to, well, to…” I trail off, unable to come up with an excuse. Levi nods and steps closer to me.

“As far as I’m concerned, it’s up to me and me only to decide was appropriate and what isn’t, Y/N.” My breath hitches and I stare into his eyes. My body is incredibly stiff. “Y-yes sir!”

I let out a breath as he backs up against the wall once again. “You’re excused, soldier.” I salute him again and then run off back towards my table, Eren following me close behind.

“What the fuck, Eren?!” He jumps back slightly alarmed by me yelling.

“What?! Captain Levi was asking who I thought were the two best soldiers and I told him you and Mikasa!” I groan and slam my head onto the table.

“Now he wants me to ‘prove myself’ or something!” I pick my head up and look in the direction of where Levi was. He’s sitting at a table, a little closer and smirking at me. I hurry and send my eyes to the table. I hear Reiner laugh as he plops down next to me.

“Oh Y/N, you aren’t scared of little tiny Captain Levi, are you?” I roll my eyes and lightly push him as he throws his arm around my shoulder.

“No I’m not scared, Reiner! I’m just… he’s a little intimidating sometimes.” He laughs again.

“I think he just likes you. Probably got a little crush on our Y/N.” He pinched my cheek and winks at me.

I shrug, “I doubt that very much. He’s probably just picking on me like he does everyone else.”

Reiner smirks. “Wanna test that theory?” I turn to face him about to question what he meant when his lips slam onto mine. My eyes shoot wide open as he wraps his hand up into my hair and pulls me closer. My body starts to relax and I kiss him back. A couple people at the table hoot and holler, someone else whistles. This is…crazy. He pulls back slightly, my eyes flutter open and look into his.

“I-Reiner…” my words fail and he smiles lightly.

“Look at Levi, Y/N.” He whispers in my ear and I slowly drift my eyes over to the Captain. He looks, well, he looks pissed. Reiner fully pulls away and I catch Levi’s eyes. He quickly stands up, practically running towards our table. I feel two hands grab tightly onto my shoulders and haul me up and out of the seat.

“Captain, sir! What are you-“ Levi cuts me off.

“Shut up, brat. We’re going for a walk.” He drags me out of the dining hall and continues on until we reach an empty hallway. I’ve never been here before,

“Where are we?” My question falls on deaf ears and he pushes me gently against the wall.

“Y/N… a-are you with Reiner?” His body is touching mine, but his eyes are on the floor.

I take a deep breath in and sigh quietly.

“No, Levi. I’m not with Reiner…” I try to get his eyes to look at me. When he finally does he looks like he might cry. “Then why was he kissing you?”

I slowly reach up and place my hand on his face. He flinched and then relaxes into my touch.

“I-Levi, he said that you might have a crush on me and wanted to ‘prove it’ so he kissed me to see your reaction.” He scrunched his eyebrows up and then relaxes them, nodding.

“I’m sorry, Y/N. I shouldn’t have acted the way I did… I just, I’ve watched you for awhile. During training and out on expeditions. I know I don’t know you personally, but I think I’ve fallen for you.” My eyes are wide and widen at each word. Levi. Captain Levi. The Commanders right hand man. Humanity’s Strongest. He likes me. Levi likes me. “Y/N, please say something…” I snap out of my trance, hearing his voice again.

“I-I might like you too?” It comes out as a question rather than a statement. He smiles down at me and pulls me into his arms. I stand there for a moment, not sure what to do. “Please Y/N, hug me back.” I wrap my arms around his neck, resting them on his shoulders. He takes a deep breath and slowly breathes it out, the warm air fanning over my neck. I slowly melt into his touch. Relaxing entirely, allowing myself to just be held. He pulls back and looks into my eyes.

Stepping back he smiles and grabs my hand. “Y/N, would you like to go on a date with me?”

I smile back, wider and squeeze his hand.

“Levi, I would love to.” He pulls me in for another hug. Pulling away he kisses my forehead, “I think you should go finish your dinner.” I laugh at his comment while trying to conceal my blushing face. “I probably should… I’ll see you later, Captain.” He smiles down at me and pushes off the wall, “See you later, Soldier.” Walking back to the dining hall, all I can think about is what the hell I’m going to tell my friends.
