Never Be the Same Again really is THE Lost and Found song to me, not only is it one of my favourites but it really hits how I feel about the show entirely

the last episode is absolutely 'pretty sweet for a bitter end' because it's a really good episode that I adore but the show got cancelled!! we never got to see where they all end up and that is a bitter end as it always is when shows you love get cancelled

the song feels exactly how the whole last episode feels - it's happy, it's upbeat, it's cathartic, you can see how the characters have grown on the show, but it's also bittersweet because we won't see them again, and there isn't any happily ever after, it's just a hopeful ever after

I think The Sound of Change is the perfect song to end the show on, it definitely feels like one of those 'uncertain if the show ends here or keeps going' endings and I think it hits pretty hard too, but there's something about Never Be the Same Again that perfectly encapsulates how the show ended for me :')

Season 1: Even though he stole my song, expects me to write all his songs while having school and work to worry about AND never thinks about MY time … he’s actually really sweet.

Season 2: Why would anyone think we like each other, we’re just friends?! … He is pretty cute though … maybe I do like him … HOLY PICKLES, I like him.

Season 3: Why did I even try moving on from him, I never stopped liking him. Heck, I LOVE him.

Season 4: HOLY PICKLES, my husband is so hot! (We’re just in high school and we’re not married yet… but I know I’ll marry him some day)
