i've posted a few speedpaints here , here and here

this is my usual process, sometimes it may vary but i usually follow this structure:

First i sketch

under the sketch i make a simple background, doesn't have to be elaborate, just smth so the canvas isn't white

under my sketch i colour the entire object a single color, then on top of that, with a clipping mask, i place base colours and basic shadows

i don't do lineart so i just go directly to lower the sketch's opacity and render on top of everything

lastly, my favorite step is duplicating the subject (caitlyn in this case) and playing a bit with the colour settings to adjust tone, saturation, etc... i also use 'multiply' and 'add' layers to give the shadows some more depth and make the shiny stuff glow a little

I finished reading The Faithless a week ago and I have Luca on the brain a LOT

This fandom is so small but i loved @qvert 's amazing luca art, the inspiration inspired, so here is my little contribution to this corner of the internet

I got SUPER into @thehomelybadger 's Run at the Cup fic the last few months - i mean i was living and breathing for it and all i could think about was this fic for so long - so here is the product of my brain rot
