Irish greens are so interesting bc they have the most abhorrently underachieving manifestos, but they somehow manage to achieve more than many junior coalition partners in the past. I don't know if it's by batting their eyelids at ff and fg until they actually do good things, but they're probably one of my favourite parties because so many of their ideas do a world of good while costing very little. As much as we all hated the deposit return scheme, it was cost effective, undeniably reduced litter, and even had a byproduct of being able to help homeless people get some money from cans left in bins.

I make a lot of jokes about them being useless (I mean, grow a backbone guys!) but the fact that they were pretty stellar in government can't be overlooked.

there's a great fear and distrust of antinatalists amongst those who don't try to understand.

yall last night i had a dream that my dad was getting knee surgery so i was in the hospital and for some reason a TD i know was there, and he told me about this new plan to make bike trails better (AU where labour is in government i guess) and he explained he was calling it the "BikeDem Scheme" and i was like "you mean bike dems as in libdems. you can't call it that bc people still associate us with uk labour" and he was like "OK well I have another scheme" and I was like "tell me about it" and he was like "yeah im calling it reform" so i just hit him with a thousand yard stare as he showed me how he got rid of a super steep bike trail to discourage anyone from getting hurt on it by replacing it with a cliff 👍 then my mom went into a different kind of labour and i realised we weren't in the hospital for my dad's knee surgery ?????
