i remember when mdzs first came out and i didn't know shit about the genre yet, so my friend and i found it in a bookstore and she went "grandmaster of demonic cultivation???? what is 'cultivation'. google says it's practicing agriculture. how can you do that demonically." and i was like "farming evilly and deviously......"

anyways this exchange became ten times funnier when i read mdzs years later and got to the part where everyone thinks wei wuxian is establishing a horrible evil demonic sect with the wen remnants but he's actually just trying to farm so they don't starve. doing some straight up evil and demonic and devious farming.

I just read a god! Shang Qinghua post and him bending the world to his will and I raise you this: Him being the author is not like being a god but being a parent.

The svsss world loves him, would absolutely make sure he stays alive because duh that's their dad. but would only sometimes listen to his suggestions about changing some stuff, if they feel like the idea is fun/in line with their own reality because they still wants to develop independently, and also because they're still low-key mad/annoyed at him for nearly destroying them in the original timeline (the merging of realms by bingge) and want to fuck with him sometimes

Like at first system is like we doing PIDW...only then it gets invested in the ships. Like at first it's watching SQQ and how oblivious he is like 'host has to figure it out soon right...right?' and eventually it's ignoring plot and focusing wholly on ships.

It is just throwing chaos in creating it's own ship wars... like literally it's putting characters in situations where they fight for SQQ. Just throwing all the wife plots and watching the chaos while SQQ is just so confused.

Bonus with idea of multiple systems, they keep getting involved only each gets invested in different ships. causing lots of odd missions and them trying to throw wife plots at SQQ so that their ship will be canon.

Bonus bonus: SQH system gave up on PIDW plot years ago and is just watching it's slow burn Moshang
