it’s just so wild and wonderful to me that “woe’s hollow” was filmed on location. like, they scouted out that spot. they found woods and hoped it would snow. that waterfall is real and you can go there. they had to get all that film equipment out to the shooting locations and they had to do it without moving anything because it’s a state park. those creepy icicle hands? the snow falling? the twisted trees in irving’s dream? the fog? that was all real. the fucking - cliff overlooking the lake?! that was REAL. adam scott really yelled down to john turturro from the top of that cliff! that’s so so amazing to me. like in most modern shows they’d have used CGI for the scenery and it would have been absolutely aesthetically perfect, sure. but instead they found a location and really looked at it and played with what was already there and allowed the story to be in conversation with its actual environment and it was just sooooo fruitful. like. do you understand? no one thought of and designed the tree icicles that looked like claws to be perfect visual counterpoint to the creepiness of the story. they just looked around at their actual environment and went “what’s unsettling about this place? what’s suspenseful?” and they took advantage of it, they leveraged it. that is so rare in filmmaking these days, i think, especially in television. and YEAH this season cost like 200 million dollars or something but IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!

oh the parallels of Robin and Rin only being able to find peace in death, and the silence of it all. After all they did and all that was done to them. Those moments of silence before it all ended. Seeing how Victoire survived and thrived, and the strength of her being able to care out that space for herself —to choose to live. But then seeing how Nezha wasn’t given that choice, to choose life. To even begin to want life. How it was thrust upon him, a weighted legacy inherited. Thinking about Nezha shouldering that burden, slowly standing up, and continuing on.

I was talking about a historical male author I dislike because I found his works misogynistic and the person said, "Oh, well I suppose you don't read Shakespeare either." and I was like, "Shakespeare? SHAKESPEARE?!?! Of course I read Shakespeare, that man loved women."

Shakespeare wrote a wide variety of fleshed out female characters. He wrote Damsels in Distress, Cross-dressing Girlbosses, and Complex Female Villains. He wrote a woman who refused to sell her virtue to save her family and then shamed her brother for suggesting it. He wrote Taming of the Shrew and it's opposite, All's Well that Ends Well, in which the wife hunts down and tames the husband. He wrote men who are good because they listen to, trust, and defend women. He wrote women of all kinds. He wrote women who drive the plot and women doomed by the narrative. He wrote women in love and women who pathetically follow a man who doesn't like them and women in hatred. He wrote sensible women and silly women and everything in between of all ages.

I wish modern authors could write women as well as he did.

All the Kamala haters out there still arent grasping that Trump exists. "Kamala supported Israel!" Yeah? So does the entire Republican party, including Trump. Who do you think is going to be more open to changing that- the one who supports a ceasefire and a two state solution or the one who says Israel should "finish the job"?

"Kamala is a cop!" Ok? Have you actually seen what she did as a prosecutor? How she protected LGBTQ rights even when the law told her to do otherwise? Have you forgotten that Republicans are ready to legislate LGBTQ people out of their rights as soon as they have the power to, including Trump?

"I want to vote for a better candidate!" The delegates have already been assigned. It is not possible with our currect election system for any other candidate to win the election. If you wanted a better candidate, you either should have voted for them during the primaries, or they weren't popular enough to win regardless if you did vote for them during the primaries.

With so much at state and so little time left in the election cycle, we need to focus on surviving this election, stacking Congress with Democrats, and then we might actually have success protecting the right to abortion and the rights of LGBTQ people, and possibly even doing something positive for Palestine. That isn't going to happen with Trump, that isn't going to happen if you vote third party, and that isn't going to happen if you don't vote. We are guaranteed to get some new, hopefully better candidates next election cycle.

Not voting isn't a boycott. It just guarantees that your voice goes unheard and makes it more likely that your rights and the rights of vulnerable people will be taken away.

4. Him thanking about forty people including band members and technicians, naming every single one of them from memory

5. Hozier as Jesus on the Lesbian flag

6. His hair. His beautiful hair.

7. Him being emotional and humble about it being his biggest concert yet, making sure he recognised the audience for spending time and money for being there

8. His cheeky little joke about the audience having come together to control the weather and stop the rain for him
