i just think that perhaps music and film critics should not have to release their opinions same day. and i say this as someone who occasionally glances at reviews for works i enjoy. imo streaming and the need for microwaved, immediate takes is killing personal (and critical) enjoyment of art. i’d argue that this is most noticeable with beyoncé’s and taylor’s latest releases. both women released albums that imo - should not be digested all at once, but like a good buffet where you start off and work your way through a couple plates, taking your time. you gotta sit with these albums - for different reasons.
