Is it just me or does 2D seem to wear less clothes than Murdoc this phase lmao

No, not just you!…but I think Murdoc still has a slight edge because he got completely naked in the SB music video. That being said, because I’m a flop and can’t help myself I *do* think you could argue that they’re influencing each other’s styles either consciously or unconsciously. Some examples:

They’ve both been shirtless a couple times, like you said. Here, the change is more noticeable with 2D because for Murdoc, it’s a norm and we’re used to seeing it from him.

Both are rocking suspenders:

AND both are painting their nails.

It’s also important to note that 2D confirmed that he gets his nail polish from Murdoc.

Additionally, 2D’s been wearing capes this phase which we all know is a Murdoc standard (see–> the piano pic)

And if we’re looking for changes in Murdoc’s style, one observable change is his use of more color. If you look above, you see 2D wears a LOT of color, so the 2Doc fan in me tells me that it’s only reasonable to assume that perhaps it was 2D who gave him the suggestion to try out some new colors (green, blue, etc.) So far, it only seems to be coming out in his striped T-shirt collection but there’s still time.

Final honorable mention: 2D wearing Murdoc’s razor as a necklace (yes it’s real)
