Tonight’s progress:
I’m not working on this over the weekend. I feel like I’m developing carpal tunnel but I’m not really sure bc I don’t know how it feels. I spent a lot of time yesterday night working on this and ended up sleeping at 5am so I deserve a break. I was also waiting for a fan fiction to upload, but it got held back to tonight. How do fanfiction authors pump out so much content???

Today I painted the trim I bought from Hobby Lobby to match the other painted trim. Then I glued it onto the bodice part. (Btw I finished the bodice) I used fake seashells to make the little fox emblem. I’m worried that it looks too ballerina but I’m hoping that the undershirt and jacket and broom and huge witch hat can fix that problem.

Tonight’s progress:
My friend said that I might have the “locked in” autism but idk how true that is lol. Anyways I’m almost done with the bottom half of the costume.

I added a few more layers to the skirt and realized that this is looking a lot more like a magical girl than anything so I think that’s the direction I’m going for. I burnt the edges because I hate hemming. I made the front panel by sandwiching quilting material and the skirt material together. I really want to use a bright gold trim so I need to go get that from the store tomorrow. I was hoping I can get this done tonight but alas its almost 10pm and I’m out of materials.
The Hobby Lobby ladies recognize me now!

I got selected to compete at Dreamhack’s cosplay competition! I’m so excited. Here’s somethings I need to work on in the next 2 weeks to be prepared for the contest:
• finish the skirt portion
• corset top
• panels
• broom
• hat
• belt
I’ll slowly update here as well, but for now it’s time to lock in!!!!

Tonight’s progress:
I’m making a belt using rope I bought at Home Depot for my Witch Kiriko cosplay (with a twist. I have semi strong opinions on the original). I cut it to fit my waist, burnt the ends, and then hot glued 4 pieces together. I spray painted the rope and the belt buckle in glueing onto the belt. The buckle part is tentative. I don’t really know what I’m doing for that yet.
With the switches I made to the design it’s looking very “marine Lolita”? If that makes sense. I’m hoping that it would work in the end.
