Cherri Bomb was a great character in the Pilot and in “Addict”. She deserved more than to just be paired up with Pentious (srsly where did THAT come from) and with no logical explanation, suddenly become a “bad influence”

Honestly it felt like the writers didn’t know what to do with her, so they just paired her up with Pentious and that’s it.

I saw this Twitter post and couldn’t agree more. When you think about it, Alastor behaves more like a realistic abuser than Valentino. Of course, this is completely unintentional by Viv since Alastor is supposed to be the favorite and quirky one. This is what happens when you make all your villains/abusers over-the-top, one-note, and super obvious bad guys. This is what also happens when there’s no established morality in the shows.

Then the fandom wants be surprised when Alastor is called evil or vile, have to keep citing potentially outdated outside sources, and Viv has to explain Alastor’s character in interviews instead of the show itself.

Like Stolas, Alastor won’t really be called out for his bad actions and the narrative will used this mysterious deal he’s in to make him sympathetic. Like Blitz, the fandom will blame Husk for the situation as he “consented” to the deal or probably say “Well he was an overlord too and he may have hurt people too”. Even though the show uses Husk’s deal to bond with Angel.

Octavia: “I just don’t like it my father neglects me in favor of the imp guy that he’s cheating and it leads to my mom to fight with him” Brandon, Viv, and most of shippers: “Wow you are a stupid, annoyed whore, die!” Octavia: “I am 17 year old” Wow this is just hate towards female characters for being in way of gay ships huh?

The way the writers and the fandom demonize all three of the characters who were the most hurt by Stolas’ actions whenever they get rightfully mad him in order to try and make Stolas look more sympathetic is kinda gross…?

Like they’ll instantly take Stolas’ side and completely ignore all of his bad actions to paint him as an UwU soft boy and demonize any character that DARES hold him accountable for his actions while neglecting looking at this situation from their perspective.

For Octavia it’s especially bad because this girl suffering from neglect and divorce who has done NOTHING wrong is being called a “slut” and treating as a monster from the rest of the fanbase.

Octavia deserves to be in a better show man.

my redesigns for katie and tom so far, really liking how they look lol

anyways some notes on my redesigns because i felt like it lol:

Katie - They/She, Nonbinary, Bisexual

made them more mantis like with the extra limbs, mantis hands and bug ass

also based her off of a spiny flower mantis because they look cool

made their hair more curly so that there would be more variety of hair styles in hazbin

took alot of inspo from the crashbox character dora for a few reasons:

i love crashbox and i love its fucked up weird energy and style, which i thought wouldve been fun for katie

Heres my redesigns of some of the HH cast, a repost because it somehow my old managed to get deleted, idk why. I never liked the voices of her cast, I just usually look at the transcript or mute it and read the subtitles, that's how much the voices annoyed me in her content.

Honestly a bit upset that the Sinners and the demons in HH/HB don't look demonic, so I did them justice and made them look more demonic whilst making the angels and saints in heaven be more human like in their appearances.

Here are their crimes in my rewrite:

Alastor (late 40s): Murder, cannibalism.

Angel dust (mid 30s): Murder, disorderly conduct, drug overdose.

Niffty (14-15): Murder/homicide, stalking.

Husk (mid 50s): Drug overdose, War crime.

Piper bomb (Cherri bomb replacement, mid 20s): Demolition, arson, burglary.

Velvet (mid 20s): Indetity theft, vandalism, embezzlement, forgery.

Vox (30s): Racketeering, insurance fraud, Bribery, wire fraud.

Katie killjoy (30s): Extortion, manipulation, drug trafficking.

Tom trench (40s): Arson, war crime, homicide.

Mimzy (late 40s): Prostitution, drug overdose.

Vanessa (Vaggie, yes she's a sinner now, mid 20s): Robbery, shoplifting, drunk driving, homicide.

Saint peter's redesign I got inspired by someone else's redesign because it's such a genius concept. AD's design I based it off of his really REALLY old design, and Adam's not a dick but he's more of a troll that also takes things seriously when he needs to be, and... That's really it, don't have anything else to say lol.

She'd have more of a country accent. Think Texan instead of Boston. Treats those around her like kids, often uses a baby voice for those shes fond of. Loves shiny things (im just projecting tbh), coz birds tend to like shiny things, its less to do with greed and more to do with fascination. (like she collects foil balls) Actually keeps up with the times, but enjoys her eras fashion and life-style. She's more of a peahen, hen, dove and goose combined? Her "hair" is actually a crop.

I'm not too please with how she turned out, coz it still has aspects of the stereotypes I was trying to remove. I may try again, but focus on making her more of a dove or goose?

an idea i have for my velvet redesign is how since her default outfit is based on hime gyarus, i thought itd be neat for her other outfits to be based on different gyaru styles

for example in more formal occasions like the overlord meeting she could be a mode gyaru or a agejo gyaru at her clothing department, she could also be a himekaji gyaru when chilling with the other vees

another kind of off topic idea i have for velvet is that her phone case would be a decoden phone case, i think itd be funny if she had different phone cases to match with her outfits as well lol

i can kind of understand hazbins pacing issues due to the limited episodes but vivzie shouldve just rewritten the story so that it would flow better as a first season since season 2 was confirmed, like keep the 'war' with heaven as like a later/final season thing not the last episode of SEASON 1

even if vivzie didnt know if there would be a season 2, she couldve just scaled back or adapt hazbin to fit in 8 episodes. the scott pilgrim anime managed to adapt 6 books into an 8 episode show without it feeling too clunky and kaiba (2008) has 12 episodes and a more crazier/abstract story than hazbin but manages to tell it within its runtime

i also think that scott pilgrim and kaiba are just more fun than hazbin lol (SCIENCE SARU 🔛🔝🔥🔥🔥)
