pokemon mystery dungeon explorers games ARE the funniest flex in the franchise like. WHY did they have to make the story not only good but better than anything other pokemon game before or since. By all accounts the pmd games should be a silly little spinoff and instead they're like 'well. Doomed timeline apocalypse self-sacrifice true love narrative to traumatize the youth 🫡'. I think every spinoff made by a rando side studio for a major franchise should do this. they should all get a little silly with it

(for the purposes of this poll, there is no monkey's paw situation: the chore you pick stays the same level of difficulty/grossness/etc. as it normally is for you, and you only have to do it as often as you want to. the chores you don't pick are magically done for you exactly the way you'd want them to be, just with zero effort on your part.)

you're going about your normal day when, suddenly, surprise! you've been pokémon mystery dungeon'd!

unfortunately, due to budget cuts, the pokémon assigning quiz has been canceled. instead, you must spin THE WHEEL, assigning you a random, unevolved, non-legendary and non-mythical pokémon. you must now go on some sort of world-saving adventure as this pokémon. good luck!

tell me in the tags what you rolled, and how you feel about it - for bonus points, you can spin the wheel again for (or just take your pick of) a pokémon to be your partner.

bonus rules:

you're not shiny unless the wheel tells you you're shiny

take your pick of regional forms and evolutions (for example, if you roll vulpix, it's up to you whether that means normal or alolan vulpix)

apply whatever logic you like with regards to gender

Oh and if literal grass-touching IS viable, I also advocate for touching invasive grass. Many parks in the US have invasive plant removal volunteer work days. You get some air and some exercise and you can talk to other volunteers if you want or you can just march off into the trees on your own and start wreaking havoc with various hand tools. If you want to do something that is both useful AND destructive, I have found nothing better

#When I was in middle school my mom‘s church would ship all of the teenagers off to a Jesus convention #And part of this convention was that they would randomly choose youth group groups to do a mandatory service project #And I had to do it two out of three years that I went #And this project was going out into the forest and pulling I think it was mustard grass?#It was mustard something and it was invasive and they wanted it gone #So they sent a bunch of hormonal teenagers with a lot of pent-up aggression into the forest to eradicate this #queue will always find me here
