Hatstache Week 2025 Prompts!

Hatstache week is a seven-day event from June 9th to June 15th dedicated to celebrating the friendship between Hat Kid and Mustache Girl from the indie platformer, A Hat in Time, which each day dedicated to a prompt meant to inspire users to create fanart, fanfiction, or anything else in the medium they desire!

Both platonic and romantic interpretations of the ship are welcome as long as they are age-appropriate. NSFW content is strictly prohibited.

Confession 221... Hi!! I'm the anon of "I want an AHIT animated series" About a month ago I watched the series "Hilda", I started watching it because I found several similarities with AHIT, both with the protagonist, the world and the characters. Without going into details and spoilers, its a very nice series, I really enjoyed watching it and I recommend it. I've even found Hilda fans being AHIT fans, and I'm sure there are also AHIT fans who are also Hilda fans!

Confession 220... I think both of the DLC chapters were ultimately superfluous. Neither DLC chapter really expands upon anything from the main games story. The only good thing they gave us was Mustache Girl’s time rift and storybook.

Confession 217... People in the ahit fandom focus too much on fixing the storyline with mustache girl. Sometimes I feel like if you don’t have an express opinion on how to ‘fix’ the storyline with her then you’re just siding with the ‘abusers’.

Confession 216... vanessa is so so SO cool i wish i could enjoy her publicly without fear of people saying i condone her actions. like. no! she fucking sucks! absolutely! but that's part of what draws me to her!

Confession 214... Need more silly Hat Kid designs honestly, I saw another confession about Hattie as a shapeshifter I think? Which is funny bc mine actually is! Though shes very snail-like, with snail feelers (jaw and on her head like antennas) + a shell and tail. Hat kid designs with more alien-like or creature features are my favorite thing ever to exist they are so awesome

Confession 211... Yeah I’m gonna be real here—I don’t care for fandom interpretations of Moonjumper where he’s the ‘good, soft, nice one’ to contrast Snatcher being the ‘mean, evil one’. Even putting aside my somewhat complicated feelings about Snatcher, it just feels WAY too cliche.

I wish there were diary entries for the purple rifts that talked about Hat Kids thoughts about the storybooks Like I think it'd be really interesting to see Hat Kids perspective on her friends pasts Also the idea of the Sleepy Subcon rift one just being: "What the Peck what the Peck what the Peck what the Peck what the Peck what the Peck what the Peck-" is really funny to me for some reason

Confession 208... 'Your Contract Has Expired' is easily my least favorite track in the game. It has a cute arrangement with a lot of bits playing off-rhythm, signifying a kind of hesitation, but any charm it has gets horribly drained by the electric guitar. Snatcher does not deserve an electric guitar. There's a number of orhcestral versions of it that I'm a fan of, but Snatcher doesn't deserve an orchestra either.
