the witch's aerie is complete...

i created an area of alchemy & voodoo in Stonevania SMP (vanilla plush survival)... i just finished the area today but did not record it, as i am putting the final touches for end of season around my base...

I think it all fits so well with being in the mangrove swamp with my base being called the Bog of Whispers... let me know what you think!

around 08/2024, i started on my first SMP - Stonevania... i was somewhat hesitant, as in the past i have only experienced playing with others on modded servers with limited interaction. on those servers, there were also a few occasions where my base & my items were stolen, broken, taken, etc.

i have a trauma history created by domestic violence; therefore, i usually tend to avoid conflict & have some anxiety, depression, & C-PTSD which lends itself to sometimes misunderstanding a situation or just completely falling in on myself because i find it hard to believe that others would actually like what i am doing (such as a build) or even just like me in general.

like starting a Minecraft base from nothing, healing feels somewhat like that journey... i started out the healing process with no tools, had to punch some wood (figuratively), & finally settled into a space:[myself] that felt comfortable...

i have learned a lot by being on an SMP... i even ran away (flight response) for a lil while because i was overwhelmed with my interactions with others (not due to anything they did), but this was due to my trauma-history brain pushing out my healing brain.

so, all of that is said to let you know - nothing is linear... whether you are creating anything such as in Minecraft or in your life or in the healing process - sometimes, it is like an ouroboros turning on itself many times over; then, finally, we realize - we no longer need to fight with ourselves...

we can take our tools, build our safe space, & place within it all those things/our thoughts that help us to feel comfortable &, dare i say, cozy & held...

i just wanted to share with you one of my favorite instrumental background scenes that i created a while back... i am a huge fan of cello & specifically wanted to have a background featuring this... & i love this one especially with the magickal scenery...

enchanted tower: bog of whispers

this is the Enchanted Tower i created in survival Minecraft which is located in a mangrove swamp which i call the Bog of Whispers... this area has come such a long way... i have created a relaxing background/scene for us to enjoy with instrumental music from The Immersive Music Mod... my hope is that this offering brings you a lil peace & rest... i truly hope you enjoy - see you again soon!

in Minecraft, as in life, sometimes, you just never know where things are headed... i had thought this area wanted to be turned into a mushroom, lol - but, it wasn't working; so, i took some time away from the build & then returned. it seems it wanted to be various homes within one large home with a magickal enchanting & study area at the top...

i believe this was meant to be its true form... &, i know it sounds strange to talk about Minecraft building in this way - as if the landscape speaks to me but, ya know, it is the Bog of Whispers... & it knows what it wants to become!

witch's apothecary: creative build

Hello Minecrafters! I am currently working on a large build that will contain the areas of many witches encased in an arcane mystic tree. This is going to take me quite a bit of time to complete, but I am so excited for this build.

I love the darker side of Minecraft & enjoy creating builds without a plan which usually tend to be geared toward the environment that inspires the build.

I truly hope you enjoy the magical aura here & thought I would share the journey of the build with you as a series. Please let me know below in the comments what you think, your thoughts are very much appreciated.

PS: You can leave me some of your thoughts for various witch areas below as well. I have quite a few in mind but would love to "hear" your thoughts. I love the surprises of Minecraft. You never know what’s around the corner… &, often, we can find a moment that brings back our childlike wonder. Love it…

witch's apothecary: tickletoe swamp

Hello Minecrafters! Fellow witches, I have a special treat for you today (pun intended) - the Spellbound Sweets Bakery. The kitchen witch is here. With a space filled with all things yum! Filled with life using greenery & baked goods, I hope you enjoy the smell & deliciousness that resides within - welcome!

This is a creative build for a witch's apothecary that will house all types of witches! NO PLAN! I've named their swamp - Tickletoe - because even witches have a sense of humor!

in a messy process of building out an area... i find it is very rare, we see much of the in between process of creating in Minecraft - it can be pure chaos, & that is exactly what this is...

i will need to remove the frame at the top for what was going to be a mushroom top, as it is way too low... & i may change my mind, it may not be a mushroom... i'm not sure what it wants to be just yet other than chaos... i'm okay with chaos, as most of my life has been lived in a chaotic state for various reasons...

i was able to complete 2 gardens though at this "farmhouse"... they turned out lovely - but, as we know, in order to enjoy the beauty of the world, we must also embrace the not so beautiful - this is what i am doing...

This is the latest build at my base - Bog of Whispers - which is located in a mangrove swamp. The Witch's Aerie is a place for us to hone our magicke. We have bookshelves, crystals, herbs/flowers, & magickal items nearby as well as one of our faithful feline friend.

a lil before & after - i found this area in the mangrove swamp & fell in love with the vibe... this is from my series on Stonevania SMP - a vanilla plus (a few resource pack extras) server for content creators...

my base is called the Bog of Whispers, & it has been completely transformed... we are nearing the end of season 1; so, i'm just spending some time reviewing each of the spaces we've created...
