Sebastian's Award Winning Curry Buns

Anime: Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) Appearance: Episode 14 Time: 3 and a half hours  Serving: 10

This recipe is not very hard just a bit more complicated. I make the bun dough myself if you do not have the time or you don’t really have a lot of space then you can always go to the supermarket or local pizza shop and buy dough. It is what I used to do when making zeppoles if I didn’t have time to make the dough myself it comes out just fine.

As for the curry you can use any curry recipe for this as your base. Since I made this for my boyfriend (well not all of his had chocolate) I used gogo curry’s sauce and added peas to it for substance. If you want to make homemade curry you can follow this recipe just cut up the carrots don’t add apple sauce and save the ground apple for addition later if you want to make it sweeter but adding the chocolate should be enough  The base itself should be a curry you like to eat.

When I first saw this episode my mouth was watering I had curry buns when I was in Japan but this looks amazing. I have added cocoa powder in my curry before this in the roux mix but I’ve never noticed a major change so for this recipe I wanted to really develop the sweet flavor of chocolate to enhance the curry just like Sebastian did. I want this recipe to be very similar to what was made in the anime and still have it taste good. I wont lie I had to try a few times to figure out what chocolate would go well which is why it took a while to post this. Also sorry some of my pictures are blurry I did this at my boyfriends.

Pork Cutlet Bowl (Katsudon) Pirozhki

Anime: Yuri On Ice Appearance: Episode 9 Time: 3 hours Serving: We were able to make about 12 large Pirozhki and had a lot of dough left over.

I just really love this anime and Episode 9 was so cute. When I saw this come up on the screen I knew I had to make it. Not only was it something sweet that Yuri’s grandpa did for him it was also part of a huge moment of friendship between both Yuri and Yuri. I didnt expect it to taste good even though I wanted to make it! haha I had the expectation that it would taste so odd as did my friend but I have to say it was actually REALLY amazing! I found two recipes for dough and my friend and I tried them both. I think they were both amazing and delicious but we both agreed we thought the pastry one to be more fitting. I am going to post both dough recipes so you can decide which you prefer. The photos are ok they arent the best sorry! Half way my camera died and I had to use my phone.

Spirited Away Banquet Chicken

Anime: Spirited Away Appearance: Early in the movie Time: Overnight and about 3 hours. Serving: 2 (each person get’s their own Cornish hen)

So this is sort of me fusing the ideas behind Peking duck and roasting a Cornish hen. So this is in no way an authentic recipe. The chicken looked like they were dressed in a similar manner in which peking duck is but the shape was definitely not peking duck so I figure if the creator is going to mesh them I can too! I made it on my birthday and was super pleased with how well it came out!
