listen… yes its true and awesome that marginalized people have done great things throughout history. but can we separate that fact from the fact that marginalized people deserve respect? 

lesbians don’t need to write epic poetry, gay men don’t need to invent the computer, black women don’t need to work for NASA, jewish people don’t need to write famous comics or invent baseball, trans people don’t need to be famous doctors or screenplay writers or musicians, autistic people don’t need to prove the theory of relativity, to be an important member of society deserving of love and respect and care.

if you’re a minority, you don’t need to do something to benefit capitalism in order to Prove that minorities Can Do It! we shouldn’t be held to a higher standard than straight white men.

hi so this is strange but i want to make a late valentines day card for my uh maybe girlfriend (idk what we are who knows) (also !) and she loves the movie ratatouille does anyone know any good ratatouille jokes or puns

bc my thinking is there’s pros and cons for both:

1. start a new blog

pros: new beginning, i’d be able to have a clean slate, i wouldn’t have all the dnp stuff on my blog (i still like them, but i don’t really want to be a primarily dnp blog if that makes sense), i wouldn’t have only dnp on my dash

cons: i’d have to completely rebuild an audience and i wouldn’t have all the same mutuals unless i went around and told everyone i’m friends w to follow my new blog

2. keep the old blog, rebrand

pros: same mutuals, same followers, no need to rebuild

cons: all the old dnp stuff would still be there and my dash is onlyyy dnp rn. also i really like my theme on here rn and even if i never use this blog, i’m a nostalgic person and i’d love to have it around
