As of today, HPH is now invite-only and will not be having server-wide events, at least not hosted by myself. To be frank, I simply cannot run a public server as well as maintain my IRL life at this point.

Those currently in the Ruins will still be verified like any other member! After them, though, the gateway server will be deleted and you will have to be invited by an active member to join. Sorry if this comes as a disappointment to anyone actively trying to join in.

There's more in-depth details to this that I may or may not make a post about, whether here or on @karmatic-retribution, since I'm debating whether I should keep this account up. I'll let you know once I make a decision on that.

Mayday, Mayday!

The Hideaway is being raided by pirates! The Angel is doing what they can to keep them out, but it is up to us to hold the line! Little do these pirates know that we have our own means of defense, with pirates of our own! Either land, sea, or sky, bring to life the crew that will fight back against the incoming threat!

Draw a pirate design of your own, or write a story about the battle at hand! The more we gather, the further we push them back!

This event isn't a competitive one, however if I really enjoy your piece I may draw it myself... 👀

This is specifically a server-wide event, however those outside the server are free to join in on the fun if they wish to as well! If you do, or if those within our lovely server wish to post your work on tumblr, please tag it as #HPHMayday2024 , I would LOVE to see it! I will do my best to reblog everything in that tag!

This event will be ongoing from May 18th to May 25th! Create to your hearts content and show them that the pen is mightier than the sword!

In the light of the sun and the coolness of the morning dew, the angel steps outside the confines of safety and peers into the outside world. It has calmed, although only for now. Xe sees the innocents in the distance that thrive in their own safety, however xe also sees the monsters and titans of this new world roaming dangerously close to the safety of xir home. The Ruins outside has always been a sore sight for those without protection from it. One’s definition of safety may not match xir own, and xe knew that to be true. But it would provide nonetheless. That was xir mission.

As the angel finished xir reflection, xe noticed a poor soul nearing xir home. It was time for xem to return, and await the possible newcomer at the end of xir cleverly disguised gate. For xe, too, hoped to become home for them, even if they don’t quite see xir Haven just yet.

Hello!

As some folks may have noticed the frantic updates here, we had some problems regarding out verification bot within the Ruins. After trial and error we landed on a... not so good bot, that required folks to disable adblock to use. THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE! As of now, we have DoubleCounter running our verification for us :) I learned that part of the reason Altdentifier was giving us trouble was because it's merging with that bot! Who knew? Anyways, verification is working properly again and if you have any trouble feel free to DM me directly at @karmatic-retribution :D New promo is still being worked on, but it's progress is severely slowed due to irl problems occurring, thank you for your patience!

The irony that I went through the whole process of replacing Altdentifier, and the moment someone joins the new bot is down. Lmao, just my luck. I'll keep the replacement bot for the rest of February and if it keeps doing this then I'm gonna go back to Altdentifier and just have to have the back-up plan as a constant. Annoying, but it is what it is.

Questions for Profics regarding servers!

What are the red and green flags when considering joining a server? When does a server become too "intimidating"? What keeps you interested in a server? What keeps you active? What do you feel a profic server NEEDS that most don't have? What about a server promo makes you more interested in joining? What keeps you AWAY from joining?

These questions come from a place of heart as I wish to improve HPH, however its also a general question to spread awareness to others that may need it :) You can answer either in the reblogs/replies of this post, or in our inbox directly! It's come to our attention that Altdentifier keeps going down, so a replacement will be installed soon to the Ruins.

In the meantime, if you join, please DM @karmatic-retribution so I can give you the role that allows you to go through the rest of the verification process. It's not the best but this is a temporary fix until then.

I will hopefully have news of something new soon :)

We do allow minors to join, this is a 13+ server. Adult spaces are kept seperate via roles from general channels (such as nsfw) so minors don't encounter them accidentally. All mods are adults and that will remain the standard so we can properly moderate the entire server.

If the fact the server isn't only adults bothers you, I apologize :( Perhaps there are other servers that would serve you better.

Yes, we are legit! This account is primarily run by me, @karmatic-retribution, the owner! Feel free to check that account if you're unsure!

I actually used to heavily mod a popular proship server, but unfortunately the owner turned out to be a radqueer that identified as a MAP. I started to make this server shortly after I had learned that news.

Besides that, I'm sure those who are in the server can vouch as well! We've had a dip in activity the past year, but I'm hoping to improve on that as we enter 2024 :)

I was a lil worried when I tried to verify using YouTube account, with an email that has my real name. Lucky it didn't work however given I didn't what my true name being revealed, I was concerned of being doxxed or so *shruged*

We DO NOT gain access to your email accounts or any private information when you verify with AltDentifier. I will actually list what we are given for information here when it comes to Youtube: Username, Account Age, Description, View Count, Subscriber Count, and Video Count We WILL NOT have access to ANY of your private information, and ESPECIALLY not emails.

also when sending social in private can u send it to multiple mods, or is that too borthersome?

I'd advise DMing my account on there to get the best results, which is Karmatic Retribution.

I may invest in adding ModMail to the Ruins as a means of allowing "DMing mods" to be universal on there to avoid future issue.

I'm in "The Ruins" and I may have made a mistake or 2 doing Intro. It also disappered despite me not sending a link that normal, is it okay if I do it over? Plus am I allowed to include more than 2 socials to one of the active mods

You can resend a new one if you like, it "disappeared" because you cannot see the search history of the channel for the safety of our members. Ie. If raiders go through verification from Altdentifier they can't see others who have joined the server before them.

Also you can send as many socials as you like, but we will only be able to use the ones that meet the social requirements
