A movie like “I Love You, Man” is certainly a comedy. But a lot of the humor just derives from awkwardness, insecurity and discomfort - all stuff I relate to. It’s a real thing, and it’s not funny to me when I’m feeling it in real life. And it’s not funny to the character when he’s experiencing that in the movie.
