Got nostalgic and revisited 13s era. The dialog was still horrible of course but you know what? The introduction of Ryan, 19 year old YouTube blogger with 7 followers, gran lover, Graham hater, who got angry at a bike and threw it off a cliff within the first 5 minutes of his screen time, may be one of the funniest companion instructions of NuWho

This finale had three of the main cast to be non-white, and then: one gets brutally killed on-screen by a monster, two gets their entire life rewritten without their say, three loses his daughter and companion and regenerates into a white woman. Literally the only ones of the entire cast to face long-term consequences after this episode, others just get to go home, including the other Rani.

Why oh why, I wonder.

HOW do you write a season with a main character duo and then stick one part of the duo in a literal closet for most of the finale episode??

Yes, this is about Belinda, yes, I'm very mad.

Literally every other companion has had a big impact in their seasons finales and then we put Belinda in the fridge. She's. Not. Even. Dead.

Where tf did Ruby go? S1 companion and S2 plot device, and she didn't even get to say goodbye to the Doctor? No after credits of her happily reuniting with her family? No send off for her to do bigger and better things?

No happy ending for her? Truly, just this? Heartbroken and dismayed. Is she alive even in this new reality?

I still can't believe we got TWO Rani's, and they were defeated not by intricate battle of wits with the Doctor or by moral reasoning, but by Rani!One getting eaten by a monster and Rani!Two deciding she just doesn't care enough to see this to the end.

Science-girl-failures, the both of them.

Two seasons of build up and they dipped about a third way into the finale. Who writes the Big Bad's like this. Embarrassing.

Guys, this is the THIRD time this season we got a montage of all the Doctors' faces, like by the time the finale ended it was comical.

The episodes weren't even about his past incarnations, they were just there to remind us that the Doctor is, indeed, the Doctor.

No other way to convey this information (The Doctors theme blasting it's little heart out). None!

The terrible writing of the fifteenth doctor was saved only by Ncuti Gatwas incredible magnetism and screen presence. Like that's the Doctor, he could've had no plot episodes just sitting in a chair monologuing and it still would've been just as enjoyable.

I can't believe we won't get more of him. He brought so much joy and love and I miss him already

The Rani dropping into UNIT headquarters to tell the Doctor her master plan in from of everyone really did feel like a spouse of a kindergarten teacher dropping by their work to give a quick smooch and tell them about dinner plans.

Like uugggh do the children really need to see this

I did very much enjoy the the "I'm wearing a suit? I'm wearing tweed? I'm wearing polyester??" gag.

And the Doctor cuntely sountering down the stairs, dropping his oversized pappas suit jacket on the ground and his skirt reveal as an indicator he's ready to get shit done.

Just generally the Oh Shit We've Gotta Save The World!! But First ☝️ makeover :) vibe of the episode

If only e1 Belinda "No one scans my body without my consent" Chandra got to meet e8 Belinda "my entire life was rewritten by the Doctor" Chandra, or even got the glimpses of what was to come while she was in the time fracture, the whole season would've lasted for only one episode, because she would've beat the Doctor's ass into early regeneration with her timey whimey star certificate from the future
