Dad and I started episode 1 of season 3, and this time while watching it I'm gonna go in with fresh eyes and really digest it better than I did the last time. First impression is that "Starts out strong even if the tone is different."

Stepping Back

Heyyyy y'all, I wanted to make a quick post on something that's been on my mind lately.

I think I'm burned out on Stranger Things, specifically drawing and writing for it. I've been having a lot of fun watching it again with my dad, but when it comes to my creative energy, it's getting harder for me to stay focused on my ST projects. I think the hyperfixation's finally run its course, and now my brain's solely focused on my original projects.

This isn't a "Wah wah I'm leaving" or whatever the fuck, it's not even "Oh I'm taking a break" kind of thing, I'm just letting y'all know that I'm not going to be super active on this blog for a while and I'll be putting my HOC short comic and Florida pictures on hold. The fixation will come back, and when it does I'll pick up where I left off. :)

I feel bad, but as a friend told me, if you're feeling burned out then you shouldn't push yourself, otherwise it won't be as good as you'd like it to be. So I'm gonna step away from Stranger Things for a while and work on my personal projects. I'm not gonna be like, out of touch or anything though. I'll probably lurk here and there, and mutuals are always welcome to dm me.
