i hc that tokoyami slowly built up the courage to take it with him to fukuoka and ask hawks to teach him how to use (like his feather blades). hawks was desperately trying to be a good mentor and not laugh but the sword is so ridiculously oversized and tokoyami didn't have the forearm strength for it.

(he did end up learning how to use a sword, but it was one he had to order from UA's support department)

i posted about this on my art blog but i loveeee the idea of hawks being born with white/gray feathers that turned red as he got older (like an irl hawk).

when he debuted he still had a few grayish-red feathers and he was so worried that people would immediately notice and see him as a little kid

i hc that mirko's refusal to team-up unless absolutely necessary translates to her agency (or lacktherof). shes one of the only top heroes whose agency wasn't shown in canon so i think that she just. doesnt have one. no sidekicks, maybe a few lawyers, maybe an assistant and thats it.

it makes managing paperwork a bitch, but she's able to travel up and down japan and go wherever there's action. it's super helpful for other heroes as well, to have a high-ranked hero able to travel around and not worry about leaving their agency/region behind.

subconscious quirk use disorder

I had this idea for some sort of sleeping disorder in the MHA world.

so Subconscious quirk use disorder is when a person is asleep and subconsciously uses their quirk. This usually happens in vivid dreams or nightmares. Sometimes the person destroys furniture or hurts themselves on accident. Maybe even death occurs? Im still tweaking with this idea.

an example: All Might dreams about his battle with All For One. The pain in his side and the anger in his chest. He punches the villain and wakes up to find his fist in his bed.

1 - dry skin when she isnt hydrated, causing her to either need to spray water on the dry parts (mainly her legs and arms/hands) or drink water

2 - aroace

3 - her skin is extremely well taken care when it isnt dry, its almost always glistening like how a frog does

4 - she always wears her hair in a bun, claiming that it gets in the way sometimes. when she was just learning how to use her quirk her tongue kept getting tangled up into her hair, eventually she got control of that

5 - she constantly tries spoiling her siblings, as an apology for not being there that much, she usually buys them plushies and treats they enjoy !!

6 - despite him not talking much, she really likes hanging out with koda

love this reminder in my reread that tsunagu knows everyone has the potential to be a hero or a villain and how everyone is capable of both good and bad deeds. (this is a pathetically short analysis, but i'm going through his dialogue now and might talk more about it later. i'm sure others read this differently, but i think it fits with his character.)

i will never understand how people saw hawks kill twice and then saw him call himself lady nagant's successor and never connected the two.

The fact that Himiko Toga was seen as a "normal, well adjusted, she's very friendly and nice" girl in middle school drives me nuts like- We have only ever seen her as her current self (having knowingly and purposefully tipped herself off the edge and is having an absolute blast) so the idea that before her graduation she was just another unremarkable girl you were classmates with in middle school is incredible to wrap my head around.

I feel like people don't give her enough credit. For multiple things really. I've said before that she's smarter than most of the fandom seems to portray her as being, but really when you consider her backstory and her quirk, of course she's good at pretending to be normal, and wearing a mask. She very intentionally is unapologetically herself whenever she's with the LOV, but outside of that? You could pass her on the street, maybe even exchange pleasantries at the bus stop, and probably never even clock that she's a serial murderer.

We act like her being unhinged means she's incapable "acting normal", but she says it better herself: unhinged is her normal, and just like it's fairly straightforward for most "normal" people to play charades and act out a part, its no different for Toga to pretend to be someone else as well. And I don't think that she needs to be using her quirk to put on an act, after all, she acted in a role completely at odds with her true self all throughout elementary and middle school, with no one the wiser.

it still really frustrates me that hawks lost his wings

ive seen a lot of people frame it as though he's always been taken advantage of for his quirk so now he no longer has use to the people who abused him. but. the people who took advantage of him (his parents, the hpsc) are either dead or missing. and he still chose to work for the hpsc since thats been instilled in him since he was like 6.

but i think, even more than that, his wings weren't just his quirk. that was just his body. hawks has never had bodily autonomy, mostly because his desirable quirk. post war would be the first time in his life he'd be able to decide what to do with his body.

i get that hawks has done horrible things with his wings, but them being burnt off was supposed to be his moment to reflect and claim them for his own. i just cant wrap my head around why hori would do it, for any reason other than shock value. what message does it give in the end?

you know how AFO gave shigaraki an altered half of overhaul's quirk as decay? i hc that he kept the other half for himself to use as regeneration, but it was still tied to shigaraki's so he had the ability to restore anything that shigaraki dusted.

he could've brought back shigaraki's family or really anyone he killed but just chose not to and never mentioned having it
