Headcanon - Just about every house in the Pokemon world has a higher ceiling than IRL houses to allow people to bring some of their taller Pokemon inside. In some places where some common Pokemon can be quite tall, it is law that a house can allow them to seek shelter without the aid of a pokeball.

Headcanon - The spell that turned Ash into a Pikachu worked almost exactly as it was supposed to. It was meant to permanently transform the target into the Pokémon that best matched them, meaning only the duration of the spell was off. It’s pretty much the exact same magic that transforms the player in the Mystery Dungeon series.

Even if the spell had all the proper ingredients and steps, Ash was going to turn into a Pikachu.

Headcanon - When he was younger, Roark was terrified of storms. Byron gave him a Vulpix plush toy promising that it had the ability to make the rain go away. Roark still has the toy even though he’s not scared anymore.

Headcanon - Jimmy got out of a long term relationship only a few months before joining the Tulpar crew. It sucked but he’s glad to be out of it since it was mutually toxic. That said, she was partially why Jimmy was able to access food and shelter in a stable manner.

Headcanon - Daisuke is huge on classic rock songs. It very much started from him going thrifting and he has a small collection.

Bonus: Daisuke likes playing his music while working with Swansea and he feels even older when Daisuke refers to music he listens to as "classic". He also got a rare learning moment in the form of Daisuke showing him The Beatles.

Headcanon - Swansea has a plush dog he's had since he was a baby and he treasures dearly. He keeps it hidden away at home and while he won't admit to it, brought it with on his first few trips for Pony Express.

Headcanon - Roark somewhat pretends to be a girl online. It started when making his username, going with what was his favorite fossil at the time: old amber. He didn't think about how a username with Amber in it looked to internet strangers and he hated explaining in every new conversation that he was a boy so he just let other users use she/her pronouns when referring to Amber and call "her" a girl.

Headcanon - Valise and Sylvia are half sisters, made known most visibly by their shared white hands and feet. One of them (not naming names) was born from an affair and neither know of the other's existence.

Rewrite Dabbles!

Midnight isn't just a badger, it's a title currently held by a badger. It's an old position that has a special connection with those that have passed, including those that have died their final death (Bristlefrost can be seen by Midnight if she went to see her). Any creature can hold the position and live much longer lives because of it, making a shrew able to live fifty years as a Midnight. Many are born with the potential powers of a Midnight that present in different ways. Some see ghosts where they shouldn't, some find themselves speaking to animals that they by no means should be able to understand and others receive visions from afterlives they have no ties to. One can only hold the title if a Midnight meets something with the potential. If Midnight the badger had met Goosefeather, he'd have become a Midnight proper. There are many Midnights out there in the Warriors world. We only know of just the badger one. Two ancient Midnight cats mated to make what would become the Sisters.

Headcanon - Curly was bullied a short time as a kid when the other kids discovered his last name, finding it too funny that the kid with curly hair had the last name Curly. It went away quickly though as he quickly turned it around, liking the name Curly more than the name Grant.

Headcanon - While it's not official by any means, there's a fourth trial of sorts for switching clans. Simply, correctly name as many of your new clanmates as you can in one sitting (preferably with a chance to point to who's who instead of rattling off names heard in passing). It holds no actual baring on being allowed to stay since it's held just before being welcomed into the clan, but the more you get right, the more respect typically gained from the leader. It's a show of how much care is being put into fitting into the clan as a whole and not just for a mate.

Headcanon - Daisuke is the youngest in his family and is younger than his other siblings by a significant amount. His grandparents pressured his parents into having another so they could "have a son to continue the family name".
