Nobody truly knows what exactly a Primordial is.

Only a few sightings have ever been documented, though their presence can be traced all through Terraria’s history. Some believe they are fallen angels, cast down from heaven to roam the earth. Though no evidence points to them being the work of a God. Others claim that they are ancient spirits of fallen beasts, though nothing points to that being true either.

Whatever they are, they are certainly one of the most enigmatic and mysterious aspects of this world. Each known sighting is nowhere near a specific date, they vary from decades to hundreds of years ago. It appears these entities have always been here, even during the golden age of dragons, and possibly even before that point. So if their appearance is so abundant through these olden stories and myths, why are so little of them seen now?

Whatever. This world has greater conflicts than just worrying about these things. After all, they aren’t anymore special than our great deities…

…right?

His form in unmistakable. A gilded titan, indestructible armor encompasses every part of his gargantuan body. Each auric plate crackles with the might and terror of a dragon, the thunderous, mechanical hums befitting of one’s roar. And the horned helm, the blue visor emblazoned across. The Heretic’s gaze, no man, beast, nor God dare deny that gaze.

The Godseeker, Yharim. There is not a single man within Terraria who doesn’t know that name.

For this design I really just built up on the original Yharim design, but with more traits that I think truly define what he’s shown as. I wanted him to be gigantic (though his real body is not that big) and for some areas to be bulkier and more mechanical, while still paying tribute to the original.

It feels like almost every unmasked design for yharim (what he actually looks like under his helmet) that I’ve seen just makes him look a twink lmao. I mean, the dude literally got fucking thrown into magma and it’s described that he was ‘hideously scarred’, and the most burn scars I see are just a few marks on his face. So instead of doing that, I made him look deep-fried since I feel that would be more accurate lmao

Scenes from my fic

It took some time for me to find a suitable style for the drawing i do for some of the chapters. Eventually I came up with this style, where its in greyscale and with minimal shading, but some have more rendering and sometimes color if i feel like it.

The Terraria in my fic is nothing like what you would expect to see in a vanilla setting. I really tried to put the “cruel world” aesthetic of Calamity Mod to use, though that’s not to say it’s completely grimdark or whatever. This Terraria has practically been torn apart by the war between Yharim and the gods, where the only people who survive are the people who hold the strength and vehemence to keep pushing on. It is brutal, gorey, and definitely has a shit-ton of trauma and suffering.

I also tried to incorporate a horror aspect to the story. The story both centers around the war and the crusades, but also the eldritch/lovecraftian aspects that it explores much deeper than what the game provides. That means there’s a whole heaping load of headcannon awaiting :)

My CalMod OC for my fanfiction.

This is Ren, short for Laurence, a half-man half-eidolist. The Dungeon’s plans to recreate the ancient Eidolon Wyrms were involved with forcefully mutating patients into eldritch monstrosities, yet somehow the process didn’t fully overtake this man’s body. Unlike the others, he still retained the basic conscience and rationality of a normal human, but not much else. Parts of his skin are completely flayed off, eidolon mutations winding through flesh in a corrosive blue tone. His head completely disfigured into the visage of an eidolon, yet still showing some signs of his former self.

When he had found himself in this disgusting, wretched form, he had forgotten many things about his past. He couldn’t quite remember how exactly he became such a thing, along with what had happened before that. Wandering mindlessly through an unforgiving world, he stumbled into the hands of The Godseeker, Yharim, under the influence of an eldritch presence, until all these experiences finally led to unearthing his past.

He didn’t know if it was worth it. Ever since his awakening, he had been dedicated to that one goal of finding what had happened to him, and what had happened to him should’ve been a thing that he wanted to forget. He could bask in the hellish suffering of it all, but was he even capable of coming into terms with that knowledge? Now what he needed to know was no longer of his past, but of himself. Could he stomach the thought of all that, or would he let it take away the last slivers of humanity left inside him?

I’m new to posting on tumblr, and before I’ve never really used it that often. But now I’m gonna post most of my stuff about my fanfic to here, so hi :)

Hi, I don’t usually use Tumblr that often but now I’ve decided to use it to post about some stuff about the Terraria Calamity Mod fanfiction I’m currently working on. I might post some other stuff here such as some terraria artworks that don’t relate to my writing but most of it is gonna be about that.

The current chapters of my fanfic are currently being rewritten, so if you’re going to get into it I suggest reading the ones that are already rewritten on Ao3 or waiting for it to be fully rewritten.
