some light fury redesigns to make her a little more interesting to look at!! from an evolutionary standpoint, it would make far more sense for the female night furies to be a deeper black than the males, but i still wanted something that would differentiate her from toothless enough that the audience could easily tell them apart, and have fun watching her on-screen -- then @drillbeeautomaton gave me the fantastic idea to incorporate her camouflaging ability by making her scales resemble a starry sky! and then i couldn't decide which results i liked better, so i'm posting both.

I have tried storing my sadness in different places. when my father got upset my mother would clean. wipe down the bench. do the dishes. my father never seemed sad. only angry. but my mother still cleaned up after him. stored his sadness in the kitchen cupboards or under the bed. I eat breakfast and my mother cries while she vacuums up parts of my father. He is hungry. He is hungry and I am trying to find a place big enough to store my childhood trauma and the cupboards are full. the cupboards are full.

i wanted him to look a bit like a pirate, but not quite. he has a a mix of dark/light clothes, too. i didn’t want to make him purely one or the other, because i just don’t think that’d fit him. it sort of gives the impression that, while he’s pretty much on the straight and narrow now, he’ll always have Silver’s influence to thank for support him. (plus, he looks so good with the contrasting colors)

gave him boots because i think he’s the practical type and boots make it easier to run around without worrying about slipping your shoe off and tripping in the middle of battle. he’d be a pretty physically active ship captain, i think. plus he’s totally the adventurous type, lol

and i gave him a sword too, because why not idk. he probably has a gun somewhere too, but i think Jim would be really good at sword fighting (maybe not traditional sword fighting, but yeah)

okay seriously though

everyone on the internet needs to relearn proper fucking boundaries. You don’t make unwarranted sexual comments towards strangers. You do not reach out to strangers out of the blue and interact as though you’ve known them for ages. You do not demand strangers’ real names, you don’t get to know where they live, you don’t ask for ID or photos of their face or body to ‘prove’ they are who they say they are. (Among other things, this is a massive security risk and I’m fucking furious that you people seem to think you can demand it.) Just because you follow someone doesnt mean they know you; just because they follow you doesn’t mean that either. Draw a line between your mutuals and your mutuals who are your friends because there is a difference. and fucking respect people’s boundaries like goddamn

sometimes i think people are exaggerating when they talk about how lawless & chaotic wal-mart is and then i remember that one time my sister found a half-eaten apple just lying out on a shelf in the cereal aisle
