"You are that guy, Archie," she told him, looking over at him, standing only a few steps away. "You don't have to be good at painting to prove that to me." As he said, that was her forte. "It means a lot that you want to be that involved, though, Archie, really," her cheeks flushed pink, "And if you can't keep the paint off of you, I guess that means I will have to add a little more." Her eyes danced with mischief as she reached out to swipe another dab on his jaw. "You can consider it part of your uniform for the afternoon." Her smile softened, "Summer will get crazier, it usually does, but I think we will be able to handle it together. No matter what." @archiemorgan
Archie glanced at the wall and then back at Hazal, his lower lip ticking out into a small pout. "I'm trying my best here," he teased right back, "I'm creative just not artistic, that my dear is your forte. Though you're both." He let out a sigh, as his paint job was subpar at best and he shook his head, holding the dripping paint brush before settling it down. He shrugged a shoulder, his cheeks warm from his own blushing, "I just want to, ya know be that hands on kind of guy." He gave her a crooked smile and stepped over so she can fix his mess with the paint on the wall. Shaking his head, he then took a step closer to her, "I used to be that guy. But with you I want to be as involved and hands on that I can be. And not just with this but anything, I really do want to help. Even if I'm terrible at painting." He let out a laugh and watched as she started to go over where he worked, in awe of how she made it look so easy. "I can imagine with the summer it'll get crazier. That's great and and if I can't keep the paint off me? Then what?" He said with a smirk, his voice playful and smooth, a hint of mischief in his eyes. @hazalxalpman

Hazal had been taking more time out of her schedule to spend it with loved ones and that included Nicole. Their friendship had spanned many years, not going through the same turmoil that she had with Verity once upon a time. Hazal sipped thoughtfully on her wine, looking at Nicole from across the table. "This is nice," she smiled at her, nudging her with her foot underneath the table. "I am glad we are getting to spend some time together," her soft smile turned playful, the corners of her lips twitching as she looked at her friend. "But," there was a teasing edge to her words, "I think it's about time you fill me in on any hot gossip in your life," she teased Nicole, "we can't talk about my engagement all the time," a playful roll of her eyes followed her words.

"I love that for us," Hazal grinned at Verity. Their friendship had grown lengths since forgiveness was given. She was grateful to have Verity in her life, someone to talk to, a girlfriend to sit back and drink wine with at the end of a long week and gossip about their boyfriends with. "It's very rom-com of you both to already be living together," she teased, nudging her friend with a playful laugh. "As for us? No, I'm not rushing into the wedding planning. I want to savor the whole being engaged part, you know?" Hazal lifted her shoulders in a shrug, "We are both young and have the rest of our lives, I don't think we should have to rush into it." @veritywagner
Verity took the drink with a grateful smile, raising it briefly in a small toast before taking a sip. “Two women in love—sounds about right,” she teased back, letting the taste of the drink settle as she relaxed into the couch. She laughed softly at Hazal’s brow wiggle, shaking her head. “Honestly? It’s been good!" She said with a genuine smile, "I mean we also already live together, which is new for us both, but we have found a good balance I think." She added with a small shrug. "How are things with you and Archie? Planning the wedding already, or are you going to wait a bit?" @hazalxalpman

"This poor wall," she teased, "at least one of us knows what we are doing." She didn't have any expectations for Archie to paint the room with her, but since he was, she was not going to complain. "That's very sweet that you wanted to do that with me." Hazal's cheeks flushed as she moved closer to his section of paint. Her brush strokes were fluid and precise, smoothing over what he had done. "Most guys would have just stuck to a paint swatch," she teased, "but I'm glad you're not that kind of guy." Even if she'd have to tidy up his paint sections, it would be something they did together. "The bakery? Yeah, it's hectic but I think I finally perfected the lemon glaze for the morning buns that I have been working on," and for what had felt like weeks. "I'll bring you one tomorrow if you can keep most of the pain off yourself." @archiemorgan
Archie gave her a wide grin, a boyish smile that showed off his dimples as she called him a sap. And he usually wasn't, in fact he never was until he fell in love with her. "Only for you babe," he winked at her before he went back to painting as well as he could. As she stepped back after he put his arms up, he looked down at the paint dripping and laughed, also thanking they put down a tarp. "And if I am?" He smirked teasingly, wiping the paint on his arm, "honestly? Nope, he always just hired someone to do it, but I wanted to make sure we got to do this together." It was their home and he wanted to make it their own, do it their way, even with any and all mishaps. "You're the best," he had to remind her, because he always would and always would cheer and build her up. "Okay fine," he playfully smacked the paintbrush against the wall, tiny splatters splashing over him and he shook his head. "It's been okay, a little hectic as it'll get slow soon. You? Hopefully not too too hectic at the bakery." @hazalxalpman

"You're such a sap," she teased, though her voice had softened with the warm and fluttery feeling she felt with his words. She didn't know how moments like this crept up on her but it was the simple things like paint and shared laughter that she knew she couldn't let go of. When he backed up, she felt herself beginning to laugh as she watched the pain drip down his arm. "You are going to turn into a whole rescue mission at this rate. Didn't anyone teach you how to paint?" She continued to tease, "I'll help," that was a given. She wasn't going to leave him high and dry about the whole paint situation. "But let's get the room painted and worry about clean up later." At least, if they got the first coat on, she could worry about the rest a different day. "How has work been this week for you?" She shifted the conversation, moving to swap a brush for a roller. @archiemorgan
"Mhm," he hummed with a smirk, a sparkle of mischief behind his eyes before laughing at her reaction to the paint. He leaned in too, his eyes flickering from her cheek back to her eyes, "though this place could definitely use more color. But you? You're perfect as is." He kissed her nose which was thankfully free of paint before he leaned into her touch a bit. Moments like these were the ones he never knew he'd love the most, but here he was, his heart fluttering at something like painting a room. "I'd choose you in every lifetime and in every universe," he replied to her, wanting to scoop her up in his arms right then and there. But she was right about the paint drying in weird ways or getting distracted because he totally would. "Okay, okay," he backed up and put up his hands, one of which held a dripping paint brush, a line now dripping down his arm. "Looks like I might nerd help getting his paint off me later, think you'd be able to help me with it?" @hazalxalpman

"Don't worry about it," she said, shaking her head. "it's just chips and a little bit of change." Hazal smiled at the other, "you don't owe me anything." She honestly hadn't expected any sort of pay back from what she had given the person. It was from the kindness in her heart that she had offered to help in the first place, not because she wanted something back in return. "Just take care of yourself," she smiled, "I think that's more than enough payback." @nolanxmurray
END.
He looked at the other as he took the change from her. He hated that he had to do it, but he had to have clean clothes. Washing his clothes at the gym shower went only so far when drying became an issue. He almost wanted to say it was too much, but he needed something, and he had lived off of chips for a few days before. "Thanks... Um, I'll pay you back sometime," he just didn't have what he needed right now. "I've done it before, too." When he had money, he tended to waste it too. "But this is great, just what I need." he felt like it was too much, but really it was a dollar or some change and chips, it wasn't that much. @hazalxalpman.

"Oh, definitely stuck with you," she teased, wiping a smudge of paint from her cheek with a playful grin. She leaned in, "A face full of paint means you're just making this place and me a little more colorful." Her hand reached up to touch his cheek, careful not to smudge anymore. She loved the messy and imperfect moments between them. "Besides, if I had a choice, I'd pick you every single time." She dropped her hand from his face, "Now let's get this room painted before we get even more distracted and it dries in a weird way." @archiemorgan
He was in his own world, his tongue sticking out ever so slightly as he painted the wall, he still couldn't fathom that this was his life. How amazing it was. She made his life infinitely better and he would never stop trying to do the same for her. "Hmm," he hummed before realizing what she was up to, laughing as she tapped his nose. "Oh am I now?" He asked, a smirk forming on his lips and shook his head, "or is is that you're stuck with me? No take-backs babe." Sticking his palm in the paint before pressing it to her cheek, caressing it so, and leaving it covered in paint. "Because there's no one I'd rather be stuck with than you. Even with a face full of paint." @hazalxalpman

"Don't worry about it, it's no trouble at all." Hazal affirmed as she handed the other the change. "Here," she reached back into her vehicle, "I don't need three bags of chips, maybe only two. I'll share one with my sister." She admitted, holding it out for him to take as well. "I got a little over eager in the store and grabbed just about anything that looked appealing." Hazal shook her head with the admittance, "I have a bad habit of doing that." Though she was grateful her soon to be husband would eat her leftover snacks as well. @nolanxmurray
The embarrassment rolled over him like a wave. He hated to ask for help like this, even though it wasn't much at all. So when she went to get the change and put the snacks away, he was glad, so he could get the look off his face. He smiled at her when she came back, and he held out his hand for the change. "That would happen with my luck." The things would eat whatever change he had right now. Nolan looked at Hazal, then at what snacks she had. He wanted to say no since he didn't want to take even more from her, but he hadn't really eaten today, so he did need something. "Um, whatever, if you really don't need it." he takes anything. @hazalxalpman.

"Look at us," she grinned, bringing Verity over a drink that she had made in the kitchen. While she wasn't the bartender, she had learned enough from Verity since their friendship had rekindled. "Two women in love," she handed the drink to Verity before sitting down on the couch. "How are things with you and Eddie?" Hazal wiggled her brows playfully, "Anything changed since you started dating and still working together?"

Hazal hugged her tightly, a soft laugh bubbling over her lips as she pulled back to look at her sister. "Please, I would have waited for you, don't you worry." Though Hazal knew neither sister truly cared about the order that they married. "You're glowing by the way, kind of annoyingly so." She teased, nudging her with her elbow as she flashed a grin at her. "I'm good," she said, following her sister into the kitchen "it can be a bit overwhelming at times with how fast everything is happening but I'm happy with it." @beyzaxerbay
Hearing her sister's voice, Beyza grinned and moved through the home to greet her. "That's me." She beamed as she hugged her. "Sorry for stealing your thunder. I couldn't let my little sister marry before I did." She teased. That was definitely something that never crossed her mind. She was truly happy for the two of them and couldn't wait for Hazal's wedding. She led her to the kitchen and nodded. "That's perfect. We'll save him some of everything." She told her as she started getting plates. "How are you?" @hazalxalpman

Hazal hesitated, mid-brushstroke, glancing over at him. There was a familiar spark in her eyes and his words made her chest ache. Yet, it was in that good, full kind of way. It reminded her of what they had. Hazal never imagined she would have something like this, having bene living vicariously through her sister for the last year or so. "Good," she smiled, running a finger along the tip of the brush and then tapped his nose. "Because you're stuck with me now." @archiemorgan
Stealing a glance at her, he still couldn't believe that they were together for over a year, living together, and engaged. Though he had never necessarily thought of marriage and his future, with Hazal that was all he could think about. Everything about the future excited him as he had her by his side, whatever that might look like. "I definitely don't expect it to be a total disaster," sending her a boyish grin as he painted vertical strokes upon the wall, "I think we'll make it. I can't see myself doing this with anyone else, honestly I don't even want to think about it." @hazalxalpman

"I've got it, but thanks," she said, nodding to the stuff in her hands with a soft tone. As she reached her car, she set the snacks into the seat before opening up the center console and reaching in for her collection of change. Plucking a few coins from it, she held them out for him, "A dollar of change, plus a few extras." She told him, "I know how those machines love to eat coins and you don't always get them back." She wrinkled her nose, looking back at her seat of snacks, "You want any of this? I've realized my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I don't need all of these snacks." @nolanxmurray
He hoped he did come off of that; he was just missing the change, not that he didn't have it at all. That he needed to dry his clothes, or that was it, he would have wet clothes. "Yeah, I bet..." he rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't know for sure that he didn't do this normally; he never got to the point where he was homeless like this. "Ah, that's cool if you can," he said, trying to act casual about it, like he really didn't need it. snacks, fuck he really wished he had some but that was next to try and find cans and bottles to turn in to get some money for dinner was next on his list. "Do you need help so you don't drop them?" he asked. He was willing to help. He smiled at her. "I am like a dollar short." It was a dollar, but you never knew if the things would eat a coin or something. @hazalxalpman

Hazal didn't say anything, not at first. She had to imagine there was a level of embarrassment that the other was feeling, even if he wasn't letting on to it. "That happens," she told him, smiling warmly. It was as if she weren't phased by the admittance of his lack of money. "I've actually got some change in my car," she told him, gesturing with a lift of her chin. "I have to put these snacks in there before I drop them." Hazal began to head towards her vehicle, "How much do you need?" The brunette should be able to cover any amount, considering she collected change in there like it was going out of style. @nolanxmurray
This was the worst. He hated looking around for change; he really was feeling worse for himself now. He knew he had no place to live, but this was really making him feel like he had no place to live and no money. He sighed as he was looking around, kicking at rocks and dirt, still hoping some change would show up, but he was having no luck. He didn't expect anyone to notice him or come up to him, but he looked up, hearing someone. He almost didn't answer and just wanted to walk off. "No... not that," it was embarrassing that he didn't have the chance to dry his clothes. "I ..." he thought a moment, "I thought the dryer was less than it was, and I didn't have the change for it," maybe saying change it was like he didn't have the coins for it, not that he didn't have the money for it at all. @hazalxalpman

Hazal couldn't help but grin back at him. The warmth of his smile was contagious, no matter the mood she were in. Her connection with him felt rare, like the one that people dreamed about having. "I won't even think of fixing it unless we make a complete disaster of it." And even then? Hazal thought it would make the room uniquely theirs. "I love that we are doing this together, too. I mean, how many couples stay together after painting a room?" She teased, considering they were still in the beginning phase. @archiemorgan
He just smiled at her, which is something he found himself doing all the time around her. She brought it out in him, and it was always a real and genuine smile, never fake. "I'll always be happy to remind you," and he meant it, he'd shout it from the rooftops to anyone that would listen. Stopping as she spoke, he laughed, "well I'll try my best to do it right," he wasn't a painter whether on a canvas or a wall but definitely wanted to make sure it was done right. Clocking an eyebrow, "I won't be offended if you need to fix it after," he laughed, "but just the beginning of things doing together. And me too." @hazalxalpman

location: the erbay house
"Missus Erbay," Hazal called out in a sing song voice as she entered the household, food in tow. Calling her sister that hadn't got old and honestly, it gave her a bit of a high. Though only engaged, she was looking forward to the day she became Missus Morgan. "I came to hang out with all my favorite people." She loved coming over to have a whole family dinner with her sister, brother in law and both her niece and nephew. The family was growing and she couldn't be happier about it. "Archie had to work late but he may be able to stop by for dessert."

Hazal had just stepped out of the corner store, snacks in her hand as she headed towards her car. It was as she did so, that she saw someone pacing around the parking lot. To her, it looked like he was searching for something but nothing stood out to her. "Hey," she called out softly, holding the snacks in her arms, "You okay? Lose something?" Her brow raised slowly, trying to see if she could spot something in the parking lot that he might be looking for. "Anything I can help you with?" Another question fell from her tongue, unable to help her concerned citizen self. @nolanxmurray
He was able to make a few bucks from collecting some cans and scrap metal to make some money, so he could go to the laundromat to wash some of his clothes. He was able to give himself a shower at the gym, but he was struggling with his clothes. "Crap" he said as he knew he was little short on what he needed, he knew he wasn't going to be able to dry his clothes as he sat outside of Crystal Clean Laundromat counting the change he had in his hands. He had miscounted before, and now he was missing almost a dollar, so he couldn't dry his clothes. He put the change he had in his pocket and got up to start to look around the parking lot, hoping to find any coins people had dropped; he just needed another dollar. He was looking down, not fully looking up, and where he was going, just hoping to find the last few coins he needed. @hazalxalpman
