idk why ive been craving to have bounty hunter characters and guess what i'm making cain do...

i was just thinking of like weapons for him to use and i don't know why i wanted to do a pico newgrounds and just give him a gun so now he has dual pistols that he can summon

he's more of a mercenary for hire but specifically for the supernatural ( though if a person is a real shit stain, he may be convinced to kill actual people ), being cursed comes with the ability to see things normal humans can't unless they have strong intuition or have been blessed and he's usually travelling the world to take care of these jobs, he's been around for ages, he's gotta keep himself entertained ok

but this does come with the benefit of learning in general, whether it be about the creature and its origins or a chance to get to know the area he's in, etc. its stimulating enough that walking the earth forever doesn't get boring

Something was unsettling underneath the surface, making the re-spawned devil nervous. From the looks of Sera to the rest of the Heaven’s council, he was on trial and for what reason, he couldn’t understand how or why. All he remembered was a sudden spark of pain and then…nothing, then showing up in the office of Sera and Emily. Both angels stunned, only the younger seraphim seemingly…sad. No, happy and sad. They told him his name, that he was Lucifer, ‘the lightbringer’, ‘the morningstar’. Or at least, that’s what his name used to be. Staring around, the poor thing shrunk within the collar of his robe and used his wings to shield himself from the stares and scoffs from others. He didn’t want to be here, why was he here? Especially with everyone looking at him like he just did something terrible… He looked up the moment a door noisily opened and then slammed shut. The small angel’s uneasy expression rose to awe and fascination. Wide blue eyes beheld a very tall angel, maybe not as tall as Sera, but still impressive. He looked like he came back from…something that wreaked of smoke and metal. Uniform stained gold and uniform a mess, Lucifer took note of the horns on top of his head. He looked very different than the others. “Adam, glad you could join us so soon.” The angel named Sera stated calmly, acknowledging the mysterious angel who was named ‘Adam’. Lucifer liked that he knew the other’s name, so now he knew what to call him. Outside of that though, he didn’t pay any mind to Sera, too enraptured by the uniformed angel. (The AU we talked about 👀)

Adam was usually much more excitable over a successful Extermination but this one. this one wasn't one to celebrate. the Sinners fought back and hard. Lucifer even dared to attack back and for a moment, he almost won.

it wasn't until he was distracted that Adam got the upper hand. in a fit of rage, he delivered a fatal blow to the devil, a bright light consuming and blinding their surroundings and suddenly, Lucifer was gone.

he couldn't believe what happened and it was until Charlie's shriek snapped him out of it, he had to call in a retreat. Lute insisted on continuing the fight now that their king was dead but Adam knew better. despite the rage and glory, he knew Lucifer's death was gonna have a bigger impact than they could handle, so he drags his girls back.

now here he was, bloodied and panting. stomping towards the office. visor shattered and broken, he doesn't even bother taking the damn thing off. " what the FUCK was that?! " he doesn't see the new figure in the room. hiding behind the High Seraphim. too angry and wanting to know why Lucifer just disappeared.

Adam doesn't say anything. he doesn't trust himself to speak but he listens. he listens to Caius speak. reminding him of the limited time he had left and there was a moment that Adam can feel the unease that settles in his gut.

A reminder of what he could go back home to... but he as he keeps thinking on it further and further, he's starting to think.. he doesn't want to go back. and that was a scary thought.

and when Caius states the growing obvious, Adam continues to stay quiet. no, he didn't loathed Caius anymore. he was growing fonder and fonder of him as time went on, closer. finding himself being vulnerable and opening up more in private to the Prince.

its the first time in literal years since he's had an actual... connection with someone and he... he's not ready to lose it.

" you've done a lot for me, Caius.. i really can't thank you enough.. " his voice is very low, quiet and uncharacteristically anxious, shy even. his hands grip his own thighs as he tries to steady himself, tries to push himself to finally make the decision he's been dangling in front of the poor Prince for an entire month now.

Adam was a marvel. His golden hues were proof of that, how they shone looking wide-eyed at Caius, who looked back just as wide.

It was close to the end of the month, and the Prince had hoped that some progress was being made for the First Man to completely and fully love him and accept his betrothal. His face fell when the other's hand pulled away, and Adam remained quiet. Nevertheless, Caius smiled, not quite meeting his eyes. With a sigh, he pulled back his own hand, folding it into his lap.

"It's still too soon, isn't it?" The blond hummed defeatedly, shoulders slumped. Time was almost up. Despite Caius' stubborn optimism, he knew the closer they would be to the end date, the closer Adam would be to leaving.

The thought of letting Adam go has proven to be much harder the more he got to know him.

"You still have time to make your decision," Caius explained gently. "I suppose, unless I am reading you incorrectly, tonight felt like the best time to ask." He laughed, his smile now reaching his amethyst gaze. "I still remember when you first woke up. You were afraid, wounded, but you did not let it stop you from attempting to put up a fight."

"I happily bear the scars you have given me through our intimate times together and in combat. They are badges of honor, and I have no issue bragging to anyone who will hear." He smirked playfully as he attempted to hold Adam's gaze.

"It would make more sense if you still loathed me." His smirk lessened to a genuine smile. "But I don't think you do."
