"Of course! They were quite plentiful in the bayou. And they were always so helpful when it came to disposing of corpses."

"I wished I could've hung out with sharks when I was alive! I remember visiting the New York Aquarium when I was younger, and they had some sharks there. Then when I moved to California, as soon as I had the money, I got myself a nice yacht to take out on the Pacific. I spotted some sharks every now and then, but I wouldn't say I hung out with them. They were great wingmen, though! Fear of sharks was really on the rise in that time. So, I'd take dates out on the yacht to impress them, and all I'd have to do was mention that I'd once seen a shark in the area, and they'd be so scared they'd be clinging to me. It was honestly kind of pathetic, but it always got me laid."

"Well, when I started working in television, I wanted to know how everything worked. That way whenever the crew said they didn't have the capability to pull off my vision, I could always come up with a way to make it happen. Wasn't long before I knew all the tech better than they did, which definitely helped with calling the shot - guess I had a bit of a natural affinity for it."

"Oh, I don't remember specifics. Certainly when I was still rather young, though; even if I didn't act on them for some time."

Purgatory? Holy shit!! Guys, we fucking figured it out! Purgatory makes so much sense, it's the final piece of the puzzle! It's a place where neither Vox nor Lucifer could/would look into, it's secure, Alastor definitely couldn't escape or contact anyone there, and she could do basically whatever the fuck she wanted there cause who would question her?

Now, in Christianity, Purgatory is a passing intermediate state after physical death for purifying or purging a soul (Wikipedia ml). Could that have anything to do with it? I do not know, but I'm leaving this here in case it helps. I don't know if she took Alastor there to "purify" his soul or whatever (it didn't work, clearly).

Why would she torture him, tho? What would be the reason? Also, do you think she took him right after he had his divorce breakup with vox cause he was hurt and sad and vulnerable as fuck and she could hurt him more? Do you think she used Vox against him? Do you think she helped create a bigger rift between them? Maybe she took him because Vox was a distraction from his goal? Im definitely reaching here, but what if Alastor's goal was smth like become the strongest overlord or some shit but he spent so much time with Vox that he just straight up forgot to do the killing part?

There's also the theory that Alastor was supposed to kill Vox once he became an Overlord. It *does* seem weird that Alastor killed all of the other Overlords in his way but Vox, whom he took under his wing.

And also the theory that suggests Lilith wanted an army against heaven for revenge and Alastor was supposed to be her general and he was supposed to get souls for her army but one TV box later and he got distracted?

"Yeah, that's not what Purgatory is. It's an in-between for people that couldn't get into Heaven, but don't quite deserve Hell. It's a moot point since the whole Jesus thing - the whole purpose of that was to make it so that people could get into Heaven, you know, realistically. Eve was the only one that refused to go, but now that she's gone, it doesn't really have a purpose anymore. It's just an empty wasteland."

There's typically two reasons you would torture someone - for fun, or to correct behavior. So, unless Lilith is secretly a raging psychopath that flew under Lucifer's radar, I'm going to assume the latter. But as for what prompted it, I don't know - though I can't imagine Alastor being particularly cooperative, leash or not.

But the point is, it's not that weird that he didn't kill me - particularly since he's one of the reasons I became an Overlord, in the first place. Also, our friendship fell apart nearly thirty years before his disappearance, so I highly doubt it's related. And we didn't need any help creating a rift between us."
