𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫  𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭,  𝐲𝐞𝐭  𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫  𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐲;  𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫  𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝  𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭  𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞  𝐨𝐟  𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐠𝐨𝐭  𝐨𝐥𝐝  𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲  𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤.  in  the  beginning,  it  was  exciting.  between  the  amount  of  attention  of  which ��he  accumulated,  free  drinks,  and  people  wrapped  around  his  finger,  he  had  everything  anyone  could  ever  dream  of.  but  the  conversations  were  dull  and  the  people  weren’t  any  different.  nobody  excited  him  -  not  like  her.  spencer  caught  sight  of  the  blonde  across  the  room,  noticing  how  she  danced  to  the  beat  of  the  music  as  if  no  one  was  watching.  there  was  something  about  her  that  interested  him  which  is  why  he  found  himself  walking  over  to  her  without  hesitation.  but  her  foot  slipped  on  stale  beer  on  the  floor  and  he  reached  out  to  catch  the  back  of  her  arms,  drink  in  hand  now  all  over the  front  of  his  t-shirt.  “  no,  it’s  alright !  ”  he  chuckled,  making  sure  she  was  steadied  before  pulling  back.  “  maybe  it’s  just  your  way  of  saying  you  want  me  to  take  my  shirt  off,  ”  he  added  cheekily.  “  you  okay  ?  “

                    OF COURSE SHE recognized him the moment she laid eyes on him, though instead of gasping in his attention she decided to play coy in front of the renowned artist. SPENCER HAVEN. although marla's knowledge of the male didn't expand farther than knowing he made music ( while also being able to point him out in a crowd ) she wondered if the reason he initially approached her was to have her dismissed from the event — after all, he was the HOST, and she snuck in through a side door without being noticed this far. at least she was able to indulge in several mixed drinks, she thought. ❝ excuse you ?? ❞ marla shifted in her stance, a twisted smile weaving onto her features, unsure of how to process his words. ❝ the last thing i need is a shirtless man standing in front of me — you know, you're a lot HOTTER in magazines where you don't have a DUMB mouth saying dumb things. ❞ if she wasn't being removed from the party before, then she sure was now, so just as quickly as she slurred her nonsense, she straightened her posture and sighed. ❝ i mean, SORRY. that was only, like, half serious. ❞

         it wasn’t his SCENE anymore, it hadn’t been for YEARS now but there he was amidst the CHAOS of another party. he’d done his BEST to stick to the edges of the room, just sipping away at the liquor and it had worked, for the most part, until she came CRASHING alone. ❝ holy SHIT  ⁠———   are you alright ? ❞ the man called out for the other, reaching forward to grab her, there was always ONE girl who was too clumsy for her own good.  ❝ you gonna be alright ? maybe stop on the liquor, ❞ he chuckled out, reaching out to grab the red solo cup away from her.

                    SHE LIFTED HER chin to meet the other's eyes and couldn't suppress the scoff that bubbled up from her throat upon indulging in his greek-like appearance. just her luck, right ?? still wobbling in place when she eventually drawled, ❝ if i stop on the liquor, then i'll just go find something ELSE to get me even more fucked up, ❞ before dainty fingers were snatching the cup back to her possession and sloshing the rest of it down with a few heavy gulps. she used the back of her hand to wipe whatever wetness remained on her mouth, then pressed the cup to his dampened chest. ❝ — but i APPRECIATE your concern. for a moment it almost sounded genuine !! ❞

                    HER SENSES CLOUDED with too much alcohol consumption and the blaring speakers guiding every sweaty body in the household to grind with one another, it seemed like no surprise for marla to enjoy her first mishap of the evening. the hardwood paneling was slick beneath her footing and within seconds her frail figure was striking into another, causing her own concocted beverage to soak the other's torso. ❝ oh, fucking shit — my bad !! ❞ she laughed it off, not knowing what to anticipate in response, though hopeful that she could get off easy and continue her night with no troubles.
