okay. so. technically my hiatus ends today, which means?? i’ve gotta make a decision really, ahh. i had work and vacation and that was great, but also a huge reason for my hiatus was because, while the muse for my characters are very high, i’m just not sure i can say the same for the muse for the roleplay?? it just feels like the last couple months ive been kind of scrambling around with everything and honestly it’s just gotten so big. i think it’s great because so many new people are joining all the time and everyone has such wonderful characters, but it also means that it’s harder for me to keep up with it. if i take a day off then ive missed so much and i need days off sometimes because of anxiety and other things so it’s just hard. the starters are overwhelming -- i reply to ten of them and ten more pop up and they’re sometimes all really similar which makes my replies monotonous and plummets my muse. 

but i also?? really love writing for kate here and i love the interactions that she’s had and it’s probably the longest i’ve stayed in a roleplay before which is really, really awesome. and the people i’ve met here are like. wow. astounding. seriously, you have no idea how sappy it is for me to say this but this place means a LOT to me especially because of a select few people i met through it. and everyone else has been absolutely fantastic to speak with ooc and plot with and just ?? i think it’s really cool that i know such dedicated and awesome people through this place and can see how much you all love your characters. and i wish i could stick around longer or give myself some time to get over a bump, but i feel like that’d mean taking more hiatuses or not doing replies with any effort and essentially just not putting myself into the roleplay or the character which isn’t fair to anyone here or to myself. 

so like even though i won’t be sending anything in officially until i get up tomorrow morning, i’m comfortable saying that i’m going to leave. it’s been a fantastic ( year?? i think, how long ago was palm springs, ahhh?? ) -- and i really will miss you guys and every character here and especially kate. seriously, not writing for her in this setting is like. going to throw me off pretty hardcore. if you want to get in touch with me, feel free to let me know and i can give you my personal or a few other accounts that are active. i’ll probably jump on here every once in awhile just to see how everyone is too, honestly, and maybe some day in the future i’ll rejoin again, but until then.

you know what’s grand like. honestly just amazingly grand. is when your friend gets you tickets to see one of your favorite artists in the world in February and plans out this entire trip in florida for three days and has this all good to go for months and then?? “forgets” about the trip and makes plans to go to panama city with her boyfriend that she’s only been dating for like three months. so now im stuck feeling like shit and telling her that it’s fine and no, if you really want to go to PCB then just do that and i might not have been able to get work off anyway ( which i would have, no matter what, because it was that important to me ) and just. i dont understand how ten years of friendship can seem like so little compared to dating a guy for three months.

            kate’s admittedly not paying much attention so it takes her a second to focus when she realizes the other girl has spoken to her. she blinks, humming quietly to herself as she rakes through her mind. ❛ four --- since i was four. ❜ there’s a fond smile on her lips as she recalls her first lesson, but she heaves a sigh not long after. ❛ it was one of those things my mom wanted to learn. that a few other instruments, but the cello was my favorite. i was a natural. ❜ she grins brightly, not bragging in the least, so much as stating facts. 

          paige nodded as the girl said she’d be quick, hopping from her seat and making her way around the counter to the pile of cd’s, trying to find a new one to play, as the one playing was currently on it’s last song. for a second, paige nearly choose her favorites since she’d been young, 111 amazing classical: cello. sighing, she put that down in the pile and muttered a just a moment as the girl placed her things on the counter. grabbing a more popular cd, paige stood up from her squat, putting the cd on the counter to put on after helping the girl. “i didn’t doubt you,” she smiled politely, beginning to ring up the stings. “how long have you played the cello?” she asked, beginning to type in the item number.

          ❛ well --- you’re not wrong. ❜ she grins, finishing up the last bit of her stretches as she does. at the warning, however, she shrugs; it’s always been a given that going up against people with powers might see her a bit roughed up. ❛ you mean, i’ll just have to make them come out to play. i’m good at that, no worries. it’ll be fine. ❜ she shifts into a readied position, brow arched as she motions towards daisy to make the first move.

          “ —— so what i’m getting from your little speech there is that you’re just using me for my powers, am i right or am i right?? ” she lightly huffs, feigning offense, her hands placed firmly on her hips; really, daisy’s been watching kate stretch since she finished her own warmup just a few seconds prior. “ i’ll use them if i need them. though, i have a feeling i’ll need them like right off the bat—— i can’t guarantee i won’t accidentally break your leg if i do. or my arm. i haven’t totally mastered the art of frequency manipulations. yet. ”

          ❛ nope, i’ll be quick. ❜ she throws an appreciative grin the other’s way all the same before taking a quick inventory of the store. when she spots what she needs, kate, true to her word, wastes no time grabbing a pack of the cello replacement strings and sliding them over the counter towards the other. ❛ see?? quick. ❜ nevermind the fact it was mostly for lucky’s benefit, who’s sitting obediently outside the shop’s door.

          typically, the music shop stayed quite empty, which was what the brunette likes about it. she could browse the cds or mess with the instruments without fear of anyone coming on. but, as paige was about ten minutes from deciding to close early, the bells on the front rang out, “can i help you?” she asked, keeping in a small groan, silently praying it was just another tourist wanting directions.
