I am the magnificent, glorious creature known as Kor. đ You paltry humans refer to us as Metal Heads. Those wretched Precursors and vile Dark Makers called us Hora-Quan. But we refer to ourselves as the Ultimate Beings! Mwahahaha! You'll get used to it, once we conquer your puny world. I'm currently licking my wounds, after facing that horrible creature Jak, but don't get any ideas! I'm just as powerful and awe-inspiring as I was before! I simply... lost my head. And I resent becoming a trophy! ⢠Skulk ⢠Skulk ⢠/ ⢠\ ⢠Head ⢠Canons â˘

This is a Kor from Jak and Daxter RP blog. It didn't have the -blog on the end in the past but now it does for some reason so I assume tumblr added that at some point and they did it to some other blogs as well. But I guess not every blog?? I don't know exactly how it works. I'm not actually RPing on it these days but I reactivated it for posterity I guess. I could come back to it at some point but IDK that anyone is really roleplaying on tumblr still. Probably a whole lot of people moved onto Discord, I'd guess. Plus I'm currently more obsessed with another fandom rn but J&D is one that is always close to my heart and ripe inside my noggin (especially for fluffy crossovers in my mind with other fandoms I do adore) even when I'm not active in the community at all. There are a few other fandoms I feel that way about. And anyway, I tend towards writing fanfiction over RP now. Also, I changed my free theme for Kor and I noticed there's a night setting button which is lighter than my current day setting. It also loosely resembles the old theme colors that I chose. This pleases me greatly for I'm a silly creature and easily amused.

âYes, you were that child. I took you from Damas hoping to harness your Eco powers for my experiments. Then I lost you to the underground. You seem upset. Did I tell you too late? You were the son of the great warrior Damas. OhâŚand he never knewâŚhow delightful.â

What can I possibly RP with Kor?
You might never ask that, but you'd be surprised if you thought the answer was nothing. Don't assume that your character would automatically die, whether he's in his natural form or not. Kor isn't overly aggressive, since he fears very little. Humans are tasty, but he is curious by nature, even if he considers himself above humanity, and he doesn't exactly find most of his underlings to be riveting conversationalists. It takes more effort to work out something with Kor, but there are many, many things that he can do. Everyday things might be the most fascinating, in fact. So just because he looks human, that doesn't mean he's automatically boring. He's still effectively a big alien dragon, for all intents and purposes. I can't say I'm amazing at RPing those, but hey, it's dragons! :P And the RP doesn't have to be set during Jak II either. It can be during Jak X, or after. Or before. Somewhere in between games. Even during Jak 3 is possible. He's supposed to be dead, yes, but I'm assuming that, if he's alive, then that means he's been hiding during those big events. It's AU territory, but it has to be if he's alive at all. I'm also willing to bring in little Mar and the crocadog, for any Jak II stories. I just haven't felt a need to yet, nor have I thought of a plot that I wanted to drag the kid along for. But it's do-able, and I promise that I'll try to make them adorable.
#OOC#I'm too lazy to hit people up directly.#Tess still has stuff I need to respond to...#But whatever I just feel like he's up for anything and people might not realize that.#The more you know...

blueeyedwoman:
Lura sighed and made her way around the slums. The smell of the sewers around the place seemed pretty bad. She looked up at the many buildings that crowded the slums. Haven City was always covered in rain. She covered her head and ran inside the building dropping the things she had in her hands and shrugged, looking around.
The tables were all full except one with a strange old man. She shrugged, âItâs better than nothing.â She sat down quickly eying the old man sitting next to her? He could be harmless, right?  She was too busy focusing on the restaurant in turn pushing her hands through her brown hair trying to get some of the rain out. Just another day in Haven City for the woman. Strangely , her gut feeling was saying that Kor was not who exactly who he put on, but she just ignored the feeling and went on, smelling the food.Â
Lura blinked and looked back at the old man âSo?â
No sooner than he'd taken a bite out of his sandwich, the chubby middle-aged woman, who was already sitting at the table, finished her meal and left. Kor felt that was just as well, and merely scanned the front of his newspaper idly, while sipping his coffee.Â
A Table for Two, but Who Wants That?
#IC#RP: Lura#He will fight you to the death if you try to take his sandwich.#Faking a pension ain't easy and it ain't worth much.#He ain't yo' sugah daddy.#Although he has had plenty of time to collect Precursor Orbs and turn them into a fine bedding.#They're surprisingly comfy.

A Table for Two, but Who Wants That?
Noon in the slums wasn't much different from anywhere else, with the exception that people spent less time at lunch and more time in a hurry to get things done during this brief break in their schedule. The cramped conditions, with buildings almost crushed together, and businesses piled on top of one another like poorly stacked boxes, meant that the tiny restaurant was packed from a lunch rush in full swing. The sign referred to it as a cafe, but it was hardly above a 'fish and chips' shop in quality. It did serve coffee and grilled tuna sandwiches, which was one of the few things Kor didn't find reprehensible. If he'd had the money for it, a rare steak would have been better... or perhaps one of the patrons. He'd had long experience in keeping his appetite for human flesh in check, however. It would be viewed as cannibalism, for obvious reasons, and put a wrench in his plans, or it would reveal the truth about him prematurely, which might do the same. While he feared nothing and no one in the city, including that would-be hero Jak, Kor hadn't yet completed his objectives to help bring Haven down. At the moment, he was grateful that he didn't have babysitting duty. Though Kor had no qualms with watching over the child, each table only had two chairs. Any table housing more occupants had to steal from another one, in order to increase its natural capacity. He would have gone back to the Underground HQ, given the circumstances, but he was sick of seeing Torn's face by now, and many of the others were starting to wear on his nerves. Kor seriously hoped to be situated with Vin at the Power Station soon, for that and other reasons. Being squashed by all these yammering fools wasn't perfect, but at least there were fresh new faces behind the meaningless drivel. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be a single open table, so he grudgingly chose one with the least amount of people and a spare chair. He had a newspaper, which he could read while he ate, and pretend the woman wasn't there, if need be.

Kor blinked several times as he listened to the monk. He chuckled slightly at one point. He certainly knows Maia is alive and he presumes that Gol is as well. That they had noticed before even Kor had, made him uneasy. How much did they know about Kor's former army that he didn't realize? Not that it mattered now. Kor paced, giving the monk and leaper lizard a wide berth. "Dark Eco is chaotic," Kor said, "There is no guarantee it won't act of its own accord, but most of that is the will of the Dark Makers. And they are the only ones who would dare to go against the Precursors' designs. Although I refuse to thank them for that." Kor showed off as many sharp, pointy teeth as possible while grinning. "Most of the accounts that I know of didn't actually die in the first place, unlike myself. The Dark Makers had a direct hand in my revival, but it was too little, too late. It's the only thing I'm grateful for, regarding that horrible Jak person."

âYour âdeathâ was documented worldwide. I am Seem, a Monk of the Precursoral order. In a way, weâre merely religious scientists, a bit of a paradox if you think about it. We seek nothing but knowledge of this world, and we have found most of our answers. But not all. That is where you are involved, Korâ

Kor paused in the middle of casually stalking Seem and blinked. He remembered most of the humans who had learned his name, but not this one. She was covered in that vaguely familiar face paint and strange robes. One of those monks... "Wait. Who are you?" he asked. He turned his head and narrowed his eyes in scrutiny. "I didn't know accounts of my death had spread so far," Kor said. He wasn't sure if he should be proud or concerned about this.

OOC: Whoops, sorry. I didn't see this when it was first posted.
Kor nodded, his long sideburns bobbing lightly as he did. He had a holographic communicator in the old nest, but nothing smaller or more practical for carrying around. There seemed to be a lot more of the latter these days, these new things called cell phones included, but he wasn't surprised someone as old and formidable as Maia might be out of the loop as well. "I will keep that in mind," Kor said, "I do have a number, but I'm afraid it isn't mobile. There is an answering machine..." Or did that get destroyed by those horrible miscreants, as they blasted through the nest? Kor would have to double-check. Perhaps buy a new one and install it before he left, just in case. If there was one thing Kor hated more than Jak and Daxter, it was missing an important call. He loved telemarketers though and wasting their time. How they even found him, Kor had no idea. It was a very old and very unlisted number, after all. But it was fun leading them on. Kor shook his head, realizing he'd spaced out a little. Too many memories and not enough success in them. He pulled out a tiny, crumpled notepad from a hidden pocket and scratched out the digits. "Mmm, yes, anyhow," Kor said. Then he tore off the page and offered it to her. His wrinkled hands trembled, not from arthritis, but from the slow blossom of pain that came from being in such a restricted, compacted form for any great length of time. He smiled faintly. "Do as you like with this," Kor said, "I imagine I am more likely to come seeking you, in the end. But I prefer having options. These are... trying times."

Kor nodded and idly patted the amulet hanging from his neck, pleased that she had remembered it from several minutes ago. He was also fairly certain that he had attained some level of trust.
âIâm afraid I wonât be staying in Haven for very long,â Kor said, âI have⌠run afoul of several important people.â
The old man paused to scowl, while glancing off into the distance. Then he settled down, giving her a conspiratorial glance.
âBut I am interested in meeting your brother and in hearing about your research. Is there any particular means for getting a hold of you in the future?â he asked.

The Matrix has you, Kor.
No machines could ever defeat me! I would overthrow their leader(s) and unite them under my banner! Why have one piddly back-water planet when you can have the universe? I would offer them everything and they would be eager to serve me!
And before anyone questions my capability to remain free, my Skull Gem would essentially ruin any attempts to attach me to a system. Barring that, an effective link-up would immediately send a signal to the Dark Makers, and once they arrived, the Dark Makers would wipe them out.
Those insufferable assholes don't like uprisings of any kind, especially if it might threaten their power in any way. We know that first hand. Besides, that filth loves destruction even more than my people do. They leave nothing but woe in their wake!

âIf I had the need to physically hit someone, Iâm sure these would help.â Maia liked to stick to emotional and mental torture and let the Dark Eco back her up physically.

Then he smirked at the way she had noticed his prodding. He was intrigued, wondering how Dark Eco might affect humans who actively embraced it.
Kor said, "I have heard of warriors who trained themselves by wearing extra weight all the time. That is the only purpose I know of for such sturdy boots, unless perhaps they are weapons?"
On the matter of rudeness, Kor realized he probably should have asked her name awhile ago. Ahh, these human conventions. He'd recognize her if they crossed paths again, and that's all most of his people require.Â
"Ahh, I suppose I should ask your name before asking such personal questions," Kor said, "I've heard it before, but I'm bad with names."
Also bad with faces, but better with odors and voices.

Kor huffed and spread his facial frills wide, to show off how much bigger he was, which really wasn't necessary, but it came as second nature. He wasn't surprised when she leapt out of the way; it was the most obvious reaction. After a second, he did remember her ability to throw mystical power around, but it struck him like a white hot heat that blinded and stung.
The beast snarled. He had lowered his head, but his massive size meant that avoiding the projectile wasn't easy, especially when he didn't anticipate this much trouble from her mysticism. Kor lunged forward, attempting to bite her first and swiping at her with his front claws second, both of which were secreting traces of Dark Eco to add to the pain.Â
"INSOLENT CHILD! I will devour you!" Kor said, "I won't even leave your bones to be found! There will be only a memory where you stood!"
He had assumed that closing the distance might frighten her, if nothing else, and of course tearing her limb from limb would make him feel better.
The Forbidden Jungle Battle
Metal Kor rumbled deep in his throat and narrowed all four of his eyes. He didnât like her confidence and he didnât like her assumption that she could actually stand in his way. His judgement should have given him more caution.
