I keep hate-reading plague literature from the medieval era, but as depressed as it makes me there is always one historical tidbit that makes me feel a little bittersweet and I like to revisit it. That’s the story of the village of Eyam.

Ethan Hawke asks, "Why does masculine energy so often manifest itself as idiocy? Why is male sensitivity so often linked with perceived weakness? How does one be, as Johnny Cash said; ‘a dove with claws?'"
Kris Kristofferson takes a long beat, then says, “Yeah, that used to piss Shel Silverstein off.”
“What did?” Ethan asks.
“That whole ‘dove with claws’ thing. He just thought, ‘What the hell is that?'”
“Why do you think Cash said it?”
“I think he was feeling the very thing that you’re talking about – that if people think you are against the war, that in some way you’re a pussy.”
“Your first recorded song was a pro-Vietnam War song, right?”
“Yeah, I wrote it when I was in the Army on my way to Nashville, and I came upon a protest march. I had a lot of friends over there; and I was thinking we were fighting for freedom. And I wasn’t thinking very deeply.”
“Why did you end up changing your mind about that war?”
“I was flying helicopters in the Gulf of Mexico on one of those offshore oil rigs, and I was talking to some guys coming home. The stories they were telling me were so horrible that I think it just shocked me enough to change my thinking 180 degrees. I’m talking about things like this young vet telling me about taking people up in a helicopter and interrogating them and if they didn’t say what they were supposed to, they’d throw them out, stomping on the fingers of the prisoner holding on to the skids, you know? The guy telling me this particular story was still just a green kid when he returned from the war. The notion that you could make a young person do something so inhuman to another soldier – or even worse, a civilian – convinced me that we were in the wrong. I hadn’t been thinking in human terms of what that military action was.” He pauses, stroking my dog. “I agree with you totally about all the conditioning that makes us want to feel masculine and tough. I mean, I’m sure that’s why I went to Ranger School and Jump School. And I’m proud of that Ranger tab – still am. But the notion of bombing a defenseless country that’s never threatened us and the fact we all accepted it and said, That’s politics!’ Damn. I’m not really interested in polities. We’ve come to a place that I never dreamed and I know my father never dreamed that America would get to.
"That’s why Shel didn’t like that ‘dove with claws’ thing,” Kris goes on.
“Johnny Cash should have just said he was a dove and proud of it?”
“Exactly. ‘Cause people would have accepted anything from John,” says Kris. “We knew he was a man. I don’t really think anybody would have called Johnny Cash a pussy. But John was conditioned, just like you and me. You really have to get past all of that — where you have enough feeling about what’s right and wrong in the world to not give a shit about what kind of names anybody throws at you.

kink rating:
commie reeducation camps?
A++
Top tier kink, refined, the top of the shelf quality liquor at the bar, anything that seems to end prisons and save the population from the brainwashing and propaganda of the capitalist state is hot.

If you genuinely believe someone beibg AMAB intersex or AFAB intersex matters on a larger scale (like how people say for NBs..), then you are intersexist. I don't care if you're intersex. AMAB intersex is not "male intersex" and is not a Special type of intersex, and same goes for AFAB intersex. Why are we pitting AFAB and AMAB intersex people up against each other as if there is 0 way they could understand each other's struggles for being intersex.. What level of binary slop brainrot is this?

thats the thing thats missing from america-centric discussion of fascism: this shit is global. every country in “the west” is seeing the same rise of fascism in real time, all of it focused on murdering migrants. like giorgia meloni is campaigning to deport people to “migrant camps” in albania. last year the greek coast guard outright drowned a boat of 500 asylum seekers. and as that last post said im not dismissing the suffering of people within the US, i’m just saying its so supremely frustrating that every conversation is about the minutiae of american domestic policy and not the horrifying ultranationalist global trend scapegoating arabs and africans.

every time someone thinks that support of butch or nontransitioning transfems is transphobic, because it’s excessive and “only valuing trans women when they stay men”, i want to tear my hair out bc we’ve been through this with the transmed bullshit before. i’ve argued that there are no true norms in the trans community and i’ll do that again, but not right now.
im grabbing you by the shoulders and shaking you. you know how there are entire blogs dedicated to feminine trans men? positivity posts all over for trans men who don’t bind or go on t or wear “men’s” clothing? there is and was an entire movement for feminine trans men and trans men who don’t medically transition and we’re working on talking respectfully of transmascs in the closet and it existed for a reason: a reaction to binary and sexist thinking in the trans community. and we still have those groups and those movements for the reason that that kind of thinking still exists.
if you think my advocating for trans women who also don’t shave or tuck or voice train go on estrogen or who wear men’s clothes is trying to normalizing not transitioning and an attempt to soften forced detransition… you are the exact same kind of insecure person who would’ve lashed out at “protect feminine trans boys” moodboards.

Don't let them do it again.
It's been a very long time since I last posted, so here's a story from very long ago that my grandfather told me: During the 1940s, my grandfather's father was working at the docks of the Antwerp harbour, alongside the river Scheldt. He was in charge of and responsible for repairs made to freight ships, even during the war and occupation of Belgium by the Nazi regime. In particular, he often had a purple thumb due to occasionally hitting it with a hammer by accident. When the V-bombs hit the city, many buildings, ships and of course people were utterly decimated. My grandfather was with the soldiers of the resistance at the time, rummaging through large bins filled with body parts. And there he found one hand with a purple thumb, all that was left of his father. My grandfather was not a Jew, Roma, homosexual or any of that. But he was fatherless from then on regardless. The Nazis and those creatures that evolved from them have inflicted plenty generational trauma on people due to being enabled to do so by society. To truly exterminate this cult, society must be ready to change in so many ways that it clearly isn't ready to tackle yet. But it's time to stop treating minority groups as an acceptable sacrifice to appease this cult.
Push THEM out for a change.

Do not ever let yourself be discouraged from making a huge, public stink about every thing this administration plans to do, even if legacy media are bending the knee.
FIGHT.
