For the teams of your choice, out of the first years who do you think would become captain & co-captain in their third year? (For Haikyuu)

I’m assuming you mean in Hinata’s third year? :0 I’ll go with the ‘main’ teams for simplicity’s sake~

Karasuno

Captain: Yamaguchi / Vice: Kageyama

I think Yamaguchi totally has the capabilities to be captain, and I can absolutely see Ennoshita making him captain since Yamaguchi is probably the kouhai he knows the best

While Kageyama isn’t an amazing choice for vice, it’s somewhat of a ‘lesser of several evils’ situation (Tsukishima isn’t good enough with people to be vice, and I just don’t think Hinata is super suited for it either)

Nekoma

Captain: Inuoka / Vice: Lev

There really isn’t much in the way of choices here, what with Shibayama being a libero and all, therefore disqualifying him from (vice-)captaincy...

As for why I chose Inuoka to be captain, not only is he shown to be a hard worker, he’s good with people too, which I think would be a pretty good for a captain. Also, his competition is Lev. I don’t think anyone would want Lev as captain. 

Seijoh

Captain: Kindaichi / Vice: Kunimi

Another easy choice, as they’re... the only first years on the team at the moment...

Regardless, though, Kindaichi is a pretty ideal candidate for captain, even if there wasn’t such a small choice, if you ask me. He’s hard-working, and while not quite what one could call a ‘people person’, he knows how to communicate well-enough to be a good captain. Also, Kunimi’s, er, laziness kinda makes him better suited for vice. 

Shiratorizawa

Captain: Goshiki / Vice: ?

Unfortunately, since Goshiki is the only first year we really know well, he’s the only one I can comment on, but I do think he’d be a good captain regardless! Like the others, he’s clearly a very hard-working as well as very talented and reliable player, and know’s how to communicate fairly well from what we’ve seen. I could also see him becoming a figure somewhat Ushijima-like figure towards his kouhai, inspiring and encouraging future players (though probably communicating with them a bit better, lol)! 

As for vice, since there are 3 other first years on the team, and Akakura is a libero, we can pretty much infer either Shibata or Sagae will be vice

Onoda x Manami dating in third year? (u.u it is my first time asking for headcanons i don't really know if this is correct)

It’s totally fine, yeah! You didn’t specify 

They’re a super soft couple... very uwu 

Naruko is 100% their biggest shipper, and credits himself as the reason they got together

This is total BS, all he did was tease Onoda about it a bit really, but he rests adamant that this was the “push” Onoda needed to finally ask him out

Speaking of which, Onoda was the one to ask Manami out, which comes as a surprise to a lot of people (the image of Manami as a sort of Prince Charming is too strong for most to imagine him as anything but the one doing the asking lol)

He asked Manami out to a Love Hime movie. Not exactly what most would think of as first date material, but hey, it worked for them

Doubashi has a love-hate relationship with the fact that Manami finally got together with Onoda... on one hand, he’s finally shut up about his stupid pining and his “I really need to ask Sakamichi-kun out but I’m so nervous”s, but now he won’t shut up about how cute and wonderful HIS Sakamichi-kun is, and how amazing his last date was, and however cute it can be, it sure does grate on his nerves when it’s at 9 AM...

You can BET Toudou freaked the fuck out when he caught wind of the two of them getting together. Manami and Makishima’s phones were BOTH blowing up for the next week and a half after he heard about it, as well as one scary but well-meaning call to Onoda so ‘make sure’ he would never hurt his precious kouhai ;;

As hard as it is to be in a fairly long-distance relationship, they make it work the best they can. This involves video calling at least once a week, constant texting, and the occasional call when Manami says he REALLY can’t wait to hear Onoda’s voice again

Some secret things that only kuroo knows about kenma headcanons?

Ooh this is an interesting one :0

It’s kind of ridiculous how many times Kuroo has caught Kenma up at ungodly hours of the night, playing games on his phones or 3DS

Kenma made him swear to secrecy that he’d never tell. Not even his parents know. 

It’s no secret that Kenma likes apple pie, but what most people do not know is that he puts cheese on it when no one’s around... 

The two of them, quite often in fact, like to go on walks around their neighborhood on days whenever there’s no practice and the weather is fit 

They make little games during those walks like who can spot more stray cats (hard mode: get those cats to let them get close), who can spot more yellow cars, who can do the best mocking imitation of whichever teammate was the most annoying that day (Kenma usually wins), etc. 

Another tradition is, once a month, they get together and watch the worst (I’m talkin’ Sharknado-level “so bad they’re good”) movies that they can find on rental. Even Kenma’s parents, and Tetsurou’s dad join in sometimes, but they haven’t told the team (yet)

You’d be surprised by how much the two of them bitch whenever no one’s around. Seriously, you might as well have walked into the Dead Sea if you enter one of their room’s after a rough day at school, with all the salt in there

Shiratorizawa Headcanons

Some self-indulgent headcanons bc... it’s my birthday and I can lol

Ushijima

Collects succulents, and is very good at taking care of them~ 

Not very good at tasks involving fine motor skills, especially using scissors and doing up buttons 

Though to be fair, both can be attributed to his left-handedness, so it’s not really his fault

Actually super good at baking?? He only does it once every blue moon (usually for birthdays and stuff), but when he does everyone cries 

Semi

Do NOT play video games with this guy. He is so loud. He Yells. 

He’s not even a sore loser or anything, he just gives everyone headaches

Actually way more of an enabler than you’d think...

Semi: Hey wtf are you doing Tendou, sitting next to a napping Ushijima: Tryna see how many objects I can stack on top of Wakatoshi-kun before he wakes up Semi: Semi, sitting next to him: Cool can I watch,

His hair is so fucking dry from over bleaching that it gets regularly compared to straw 

Reon

He’s a super good writer!! He’s never gotten anything under a 96 on a written piece in Language Arts, and he’s even writing a book!

The worst aim of anyone you will ever meet. Seriously. He was challenged to a shooting game at a festival once by Goshiki and, because he’s also surprisingly competitive, he ended up spending most of his money on that one game that night... he never hit a single target...

Does photography and brings his camera everywhere with him. Never say or do anything embarrassing around Reon. He will get pictures whether you notice or not. 

His team knows this far too well

Tendou

Has bunk beds beds at home from when he was younger and used to share a room with his younger sister (she got a new bed while he kept the bunks) and keeps a candy stash on the top bunk which his mother regularly steals from

Got his hair from his mom, and his eyes from his dad

Total boss at Scrabble 

Goshiki

The middle kid of 5 brothers, which partially explains his need for praise all the time

Super good at almost all sports, not just volleyball! He was actually approached by someone on the soccer team when he witnessed Goshiki play in gym class 

He can’t play tennis for his life, though

Thinks at least once a month that he should change his hairstyle, but always ultimately comes to the conclusion that he likes it the way it is

Shirabu

Only child who comes from a rich family

Hates loud noises in the morning more than anything

Training camps are hell for him because he’s used to nice, quiet houses in the morning, and some people on his team Goshiki and Tendou like to start off their day by yelling...

Somewhat superstitious and fully believes that something as simple as putting his left shoe on before his right will ruin his day completely 

Kawanishi

Never gets enough sleep. Ever. He willingly stays up until 4 AM every night on his phone

At training camps, when he’s forced to get enough sleep, however, is when the team realizes that Kawanishi’s actually like... a pretty pleasant, happy person? Who enjoys having conversations with his teammates? And actually smiles? And teases Shirabu well he does that anyway but he’s WORSE now? Who are you and what have you done with Taichi?

He vehemently denies any of this happened when they get back

Too bad Reon has pictures

Prefers to be called by his given name (Taichi) rather than his family name, similarly to Kenma

Somehow always has a pen/marker on hand?? Like, no one knows where he keeps them considering he always seems to wear pocketless pants, but he’s always the first one to respond when someone asks for a pen

Do not fall asleep near him. He may seem trustworthy, and normally he is, but he Can and Will draw on your face. 

Yamagata

Is surprisingly good with dates and times for someone who never has his phone on him; he’s the guy who ALWAYS knows what they’re doing today, who they’re having their next practice match against, where their next training camp is, etc. 

Sometimes even before Washijou does, somehow

His team is scared

SUPER fast typist, like his mom (a teacher) took a fucking typing course in college and he’s way faster 

His favourite animals are turtles and he legit teared up when Tendou gave him a turtle plushie for his birthday one year

I know I said I wasn’t doing any more of the meme but... these guys are some of my favourite characters so... I feel morally obliged. This is definitely the last one tho!! 

Tendou

T- Where are they ticklish?

Bottoms of his feet and the inside of his thighs 

E- How are they with children?

He’s better than you’d expect, actually! Little kids tend to be rather fascinated with his hair, face, general disposition, etc. and he’s always happy to play with them :3 Reon considers Tendou a blessing because he’s always up to come and help babysit his little siblings, whenever he can’t or needs help

N- What do they usually eat for breakfast?

On weekdays when he has to wake for school, he usually has something quick like toast or a piece of fruit, but on weekends/when he doesn’t have to be somewhere at 7:45 AM, he usually ends up making chocolate chip pancakes for himself~ 

D- How they react to being flirted with?

God, this boy cannot handle it. He turns into a hot mess whenever people show vague interest in him, and flirting just makes him even more flustered. There are, however, rare times where he can flirt back, but they’re so few and far in between that the team basically considers it a fluke when he can say anything other than “H-huh?!”

O- What would it take to break them, inside and out?

It’s hard, considering he was bullied a lot when he younger and thus has built up quite a resistance for those types of things, but if you even dare hurt his Wakatoshi-kun, he won’t be the only thing broken that day

U- What’s their voice like?

Higher than you’d expect, with a bit of an odd cadence to it that one wouldn’t normally expect out of a high schooler 

Kawanishi

K- How do you know when you’ve upset them?

Silent treatment to an almost ridiculous extent. He likes to give himself time to cool down so he doesn’t freak out at the person who upset him. 

A- What are/were this character’s best subjects in school?

He’s well-rounded in pretty much all subjects...

W- Can they dance?

Not at all, Shirabu finds it hilarious. He’s got two left feet and is too lanky to make his limbs work correctly. He’s sworn off dancing since he started puberty and shot up a foot in one month because of this. 

A- What are/were this character’s best subjects in school?

... but Maths is easily his best. 

N- What do they usually eat for breakfast?

It’s very rare for him to eat breakfast, usually only having a small piece of fruit when he does. He gets upset stomachs if he eats too much in the morning. 

I- On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do they love themselves?

About a 5, not super self-loving but not self-hating either...

S- How stealthy are they?

To a fault. He has, on many occasions, accidentally snuck up on and scared the living shit out of his teammates because of how quiet his footsteps and breathing are. It’s never on purpose, but it’s always pretty funny, admittedly...

H- What is their deadly sin?

Sloth- What else? He literally doesn’t jump high enough sometimes to block balls because he’s just kinda too lazy to. 

I- On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do they love themselves?

... and while it’s never too low, it doesn’t usually get any higher than a 7.

Could you do headcannons for if Atsumu had a foreign girlfriend so there’s a bit of a language barrier between them? Thanks!!

Sure! Since it wasn’t specified, I’ll just make her first language English, and her birth country being Canada to make things a little easier on me :)

While it a bit annoying at first (especially before they were dating and were just starting to get to know each other), Atsumu isn’t the type to let something as simple as a language barrier stop him

Though he may not seem like it, he’s DEFINITELY gonna to try and woo her with English pick-up lines

This... doesn’t work out too well, but hey, it’s the thought that counts

He asks a TON of questions of what her life was like back home, if she has siblings, what her parents are like, etc. 

He’s good with languages so he does his best to try and study English outside of school to try and get that barrier just a little bit smaller if at all possible

He also helps her with her Japanese, taking time out of his day to help her study when he can!

Kuroo

K- How do you know when you’ve upset them?

He’ll try and avoid you, to give himself time to cool down. He’ll probably sass you a bit more than normal, as well, if you do manage to get close enough. 

U- What’s their voice like?

Deeper than you’d expect for a high schooler, and pretty rough too. His voice has a certain “commanding” aspect to it, as well, practically demanding you attention when he speaks. 

R- What are their hands like?

They’re big, and calloused from volleyball. He has pretty cracked knuckles, too. 

O- What would it take to break them, inside and out?

Hurt his team, especially Kenma...

O- What would it take to break them, inside and out?

... though you might not live long enough to watch him break. 

Kenma

K- How do you know when you’ve upset them?

Silent treatment to the extreme. He won’t even acknowledge you’re there. It often takes Kuroo, Yamamoto and Yaku to make him even listen to apology. 

E- How are they with children?

Uh, depends on your definition of ‘good/bad’. He usually just invites them to play a video game or something, or gives them some crayons and paper and ignores them for an hour. 

N- What do they usually eat for breakfast?

He rarely actually has breakfast, as it gives him an upset stomach. 

M- What is their favourite dessert?

Apple pie!

He’s super good at History.

Karasuno Headcanons for favorite flowers? (I like to think Kageyama's would be a stargazer lily)🌸🌺🌹

Daichi- Coral Rose

As well as being in general just a really pretty colour, he likes the meaning of “friendship, modesty, or sympathy”. 

Sugawara- Blue Hyacinth

He thinks the meaning of “constancy of love” to be really pretty, plus, it’s a beautiful flower.

Asahi- Amaryllis

It’s a gorgeous flower, loves the bright red colour, and what’s more fitting than a flower that means “Pride”?

Nishinoya- Wallflower

Not only are they the same colour as his jersey, they also mean “faithfulness in adversity”!! How awesome is that!!

Tanaka- Red Rose

The flower of love ;) Who wouldn’t love that? 

Ennoshita- Edelweiss

He finds the meaning of “courage, devotion” beautiful and fitting. 

Kinoshita- White Daisy

He’s never been super into flower meanings and such(he leaves that to Ennoshita), but hey, white daisies grow outside his house in the summer, and they’re super pretty. 

Narita- Pink Rose

He was actually an adopted child, and when he was adopted his parents gave him pink roses, meaning “Forever”, so they have a special place in his heart. 

Kageyama- Stargazer Lily

Not only are they a super pretty flower to look at, the meaning of “wealth and prosperity” also makes Kageyama like them a lot. 

Hinata- Sunflowers

What else would he pick? They’re gorgeous, always facing the sun, and the meaning of “loyalty” or “adoration” is just an added bonus. 

Tsukishima- The “Fuck You” Bouquet

He likes the “Fuck You” bouquet. (Just kidding, he likes sunflowers too, but he’d never admit it.)

Yamaguchi- Thyme

Though not really a flower, he likes the meaning of “courage and strength”. Plus, it’s pretty tasty, too. 

Kiyoko- Violets

They’re not only gorgeous, but also representative of sapphic love... can’t get any more fitting than that. 

Yachi- Yellow Tulips

How can you get any prettier than a flower that means “Sunshine in your smile”?

Atsumu

A- What are/were this character’s best subjects in school?

He’s good at Language Arts! 

T- Where are they ticklish?

He’s not ticklish at all, and is very smug about this. 

S- How stealthy are they?

Unless Osamu’s around(which always results in a yelling/punching/kicking/etc. match), it’s almost scary how stealthy he can be. Aran found this out the hard way in junior high when Atsumu developed a penchant for jump scares... 

U- What’s their voice like?

It’s pretty smooth, about average in terms of pitch for a guy his age, and overall pretty nice to listen to... 

M- What is their favourite dessert?

He’s not into super sugary stuff, usually opting for fruit(especially cantaloupe) or something for dessert. 

U- What’s their voice like?

... unless he’s angry, in which it becomes very scratchy, and pitches down about an octave. It’s kinda scary. 

Osamu

O- What would it take to break them, inside and out?

He would never admit it, but he has no idea what he would do if something were to happen to Atsumu(and he knows it’s the same for him). He and his twin, though they admittedly kind of hate each other, have been through a lot together, so to suddenly not have Atsumu not be there anymore would be detrimental to Osamu. 

S- How stealthy are they?

He’s the exact opposite of Atsumu in this sense. He takes loud steps, breathes loudly, does pretty much everything despite his best efforts to be completely and utterly not stealthy. 

A- What are/were this character’s best subjects in school?

History! 

M- What is their favourite dessert?

He likes basically everything, he couldn’t possibly pick a favourite. 

U- What’s their voice like?

It’s a bit deeper than Atsumu’s voice, but not by a particularly noticeable amount unless you’re paying attention. It also gets a bit brassy when he’s tired.
