What is a transid or transplural??

TransIDs are when you identify with something in a way that you feel you should have it... such as animal ears or a tail, maybe you have light sensitivity so you feel your eyes should be a different color, or could relate heavily to a character and want to or feel like you should take on aspects of that character (like voice, hair color, fangs, etc). Plenty of transIDs can be associated to disorders or kins (fiction kins, other kin, therians, etc).

Transplural is a transID in which someone feels that they should have some form of plurality (DID, OSDD, etc), normally due to having issues associated with it such as trauma, dissociation, feeling like there are multiple parts of the self, etc. For some, associating heavily with a disorder but not quite meeting the criteria for a diagnosis may lead them to adopting a transID for it.

I hope I explained this well enough as we are not transplural and transIDs are not super common within this system. The information I am sharing is gathered from personal research including interviews with people who do identify with the labels.
