SMILING A BIT,  her gaze went up to the moon, shining brightly above them and watching over the pole. it was a comfort, staring up at what many of her tribe considered to be the mother of the waterbenders, and in turn, her own. or at least, that’s what she assumed he was talking about when it came to ocean eyes. who knew, certainly not her.

CURLED HANDS RUB AT HER EYES,  and the waterbender groans out, pulling at the ties to her parka, trying to block out the sounds and sights and instead drift back into slumber. yet she was already awake, and couldn’t fake it anymore as she slowly pushed herself up after a moment.

I TRUST YOU, HE SAID.  but she knew those colors, that combination, the FIRE in his eyes. it all looked the same to her by now, the image of ashy skies playing in her mind, even if it seemed he was alone. but....but he seemed relatively harmless, especially since she was the one in her element, not him, the cold snowy terrain of the north pole adding to her advantage.
