Trigger warning: abuse, abuse allegations, Marilyn Manson
I have been MIA because I am finding it hard to be on social media right now. My abuser idolized MM and while I am not surprised the allegations coming out against him, some of the accounts are so similar to my abusers actions that I have found myself both triggered and obsessed.
Iām not sure when I will be back around but I hope you all stay safe and stay healthy. š

Are you worth something if youāre obese? Of fucking course. Can you be attractive? Hell yes. Should you feel good about yourself no matter your body size? Yes! But itās the painful truth to swallow that you cannot be obese and healthy at the same time. You just canāt. Period. Thatās what obesity is, and every day that youāre obese and continually denying yourself good health. Which is none of my business, but it becomes my business when you post your unscientific shit on social media.
Amen. Iām glad you shared your voice here š

"Healthism" what the fuck even is that lmfao 𤣠like do they feel oppressed or discriminated against for their health??? Like these trolls really are grasping at straws now š
From the 30 seconds of research I did (because I have better things to do) Healthism was coined by HAES activists to label the attitude that health is morally good or imperative.
So long story short, yes. If you think that it is a good or important thing to be healthy then you are āhealthistā?? If thatās the case then Iāll take it?
Iām not going to say that being unhealthy in anyway (over-eating, smoking, drug use etc.) makes you a bad person, but I will say that overcoming unhealthy habits will improve your quality of life and make you feel better and live longer... soooo š¤£š¤£š¤£

Just want to thank you for the sanity. Thereās a huge difference between body positivity and blatantly spreading misinformation to normalize obesity and encourage others to do the same. Itās dangerous and the amount of anti science mental gymnastics Iāve seen... Holy fuck, denial is one powerful drug. Iām 225, down from 250 and I feel a lot better already, I should be at least 100 pounds lighter for someone of my size (5ā1). Appreciate the work you do, especially against a hostile echo chamber!
Thanks Hun, and Gratz on the progress!! Thatās amazing! Just make sure youāre making small healthy steps so itās sustainable š
Itās a never ending battle but Iām glad to be one of the people that does it, good luck on the rest of your journey and know Iām always here if you need to talk!
Stay Safe!!

Continuing on my ask about eating disorder communities - most of us in those communities know that itās not as easy as just recovering and that itās dangerous. Because of that, most people encourage recovery and safely continuing because the first step to recovering is forming new habits. Recovery and gaining weight is always encouraged and accepted. People who deal with over eating and anorexia both have eating disorders and the fat acceptance gang is reacting to recovery just as bad as youād see the anorexics/bulimics reacting in the early 2010s
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Iāve been around both communities and everything you are saying is true in my experience as well.

As someone whoās been a part of the eating disorder stuff on tumblr and now on Twitter, I can say first hand that the few that spew hatred at those who want to recover are often essentially excommunicated. Itās less toxic than people like to than people like to say. After the whole main wave of it in 2014 or so, the people who werenāt just using it as a trend were a lot more sympathetic and calm about everything. The main attitude now is you do it your way and weāll tell you how to do it safely and without dying. Not once have I seen someone hate another in recovery like fat acceptance crowds do.

Say what you will about Eating Disorder or Th*nspo blogs and communities on social media...
I have never seen someone legitimately struggling with an eating disorder vehemently discourage or worse, attack another person for wanting to weight restore/gain, (aka the first step to recovery)
But I sure as HELL see Fat Acceptance folks attack obese/overweight people for wanting to lose the excess weight....

I honestly think the funniest thing (like funny sad) is that with the fat positive movement they always act like people wanting to be fit and eat healthier is a direct attack on them. I mean good examples are Adele and Rebel Wilson, they lost weight and people lost their minds lmfao, basically called them traitors n shit to the fat movement š Sorry I dont wanna die early of preventable health conditions for the sake of "fat positivity" smh
I agree. Didnāt the same thing happen to Lizzo recently? I donāt know about you but when I see a celebrity, friend, public figure doing something for THEMSELVES rather than to please others it brings a smile to my face. THAT is self love, that is loving life enough to want to extend it.
Can you imagine if people got mad everytime an underweight individual or someone struggling with anorexia or a similar disorder/illness decided to GAIN weight? Literally weight restoration is known to be life saving, and so is weight loss it all depends where you start from.

Obesity and excess weight is linked to the development of many dermatological conditions that are undesirable at best and pose a health risk at worst.
Fast food high in processed sugar and saturated fats (a common thing to cut back on when losing weight) has been known to cause or worsen acne and dental problems. They also tend to lack the essential vitamins and minerals found in fruits and vegetables that promote healthy hair, nails, and skin.
There is a reason why people say that what goes into your body is a direct result of how it looks.
Furthermore, My blog is NOT dedicated to simply losing weight (as you seem to believe it is) it is dedicated to living healthier lives by making healthy sustainable lifestyle choices. I challenge you to find anywhere that I say weight loss is the ultimate goal of health.
Please take a moment to review the numerous cases in which I state that healthy living and eating is what is most important. As well as self love and care for your body.

ā150 is not overweight by much, so donāt stress about 10-15 extra pounds. If you really feel, or a health professional feels that you would be better suited to a lower weight, then I would ask yourself why you feelĀ āin a rut.āā

I could keep going. Those are just in the top 20ish recent posts
And I hope you didnāt put TOO much money on it because I have NEVER been naturally thin. I am NOT currently thin. I am in fact overweight, and after the events of 2020 am what would be classified as Obese. I do not hate myself, I do not engage in unhealthy dieting or extreme exercise to maintain a certain weight. I am obese and trying to lose the weight that I gained over 2020 by NOT loving myself, not taking care of myself and not eating properly.
(Had to reply here cause tumblr wouldnāt let me reply to the original commenter)
NO, when people say they want to lose weight they probably mean: I want to feel better, I want to have more energy and less pain, I want to be in shape/build muscle/be stronger. I want to give my body proper nourishment instead of junk and improve my hair, skin, nails, etc. I want to be a better, healthier version of myself.
āWeight loss cultureā will allow you to learn what a portion size is, help you stop over eating and emotionally eating. Ease the strain you put of your back, knees and joints. Allow you to keep up with your kids or nieces or nephews or even more fit friends. It will allow you to live a longer, healthier and most likely happier life.
