Kiri's ikran is apparently named Tanhì, which means 'Star' in Na'vi, and I love how cute that is

it looks like Norm can play the fiddle (and has an avatar-sized one) so that's neat

Kiri has watched Jake's old mission logs as well as Grace's

these are kind of marketed as canon but there are also some things that contradict the movie so...? hmm

over all, it was good! some nice Kiri moments. I'll definitely be incorporating parts of it into my portrayal at least

gruff and confused parent prompts.

y'all asked for gruff father prompts a long time ago. and i, a whole simp for this trope, sat down and watched str.anger th.ings, the mand/alorian, and i read a LOAD of fanfics in which grumpy people are unexpectedly thrust into the world of parenthood, so i hope these match your expectations!! ily all, have a wonderful day, and unclench your jaw!

to the child/grown child.

" oh jesus, what the hell are you doing? "

" no. hey, you listening? i said no. "

" believe it or not, kiddo, i'm doing this for your own good. "

" ah, hell... fine. we'll do it. just quit pouting. "

“I wish that I could have been there, to see the things you did.” Her words were soft, wistful, gently voiced as she moved to sit beside her brother. Ahead of them the expanse of the sea stretched out toward the horizon, glittering as the waves caught the light; behind them, the village stood, likely still rippling just as much with discussion of the day's events. Kiri watched as an Ilu peeked out of the water, playfully slapping the surface with a flipper before diving again. Tilting her head, she turned her gaze to Lo'ak, leaning forward with a look of eager interest.

“Payakan... What was he really like?”

These woods reminded her of home, in a way - though notably different from the forests she had grown up in, the air was still filled with an almost comforting chorus of chirps and murmurs. A squawk here, or a flutter there. Some of the sounds she half wondered if she might have recognised, while others surely belonged to creatures that were yet unknown to the young Na'vi. Kiri's fingertips gently brushed over foliage as she moved along the narrow path, taking in her surroundings with an inquisitive, golden gaze.

It could easily have been only her curiosity and sense of exploration that urged her onward, but there was something else that stood out to her about this place. Something that she could not quite name; an unsettled, uncertain sort of feeling. It seemed relatively peaceful here at a glance, and yet...

Though she was seemingly deep in thought, in this case that did not mean she was not paying attention, and her ears quickly flicked to an alert position at the sound of something charging noisily through the undergrowth. She was quick to move, ducking close to one of the larger trees out of caution... but the creature that appeared seemed relatively non-threatening. Close to her height, standing on four long limbs, with a round and wiskery face; it seemed awkward as it moved in this environment, but moreso it appeared nervous, spooked. Kiri clicked her tongue, carefully moving back into view with her hands held out reassuringly.

“Shh, mawey, lu tam...” Though it remained anxious, the long-legged creature slowed, shaking its head and digging at the mossy ground. It wasn't until it fully came to a stop that Kiri noticed something on its back, tucked between the long protrusions on its shoulders. A bag or pack of some sort, maybe? She was not close enough to tell for sure.
