alice longbottom.
Despite being in a coma for forty eight hours, Alice had felt
exhausted after learning about all the events that had
transpired after she’d lost consciousness. She’d embraced
Frank tearfully and cried into his shoulder when she learned
her dear father-in-law, a source of inspiration for her was no
more. After talking for awhile Frank had decided to rest. He
had been adamant about wanting to stay by her side. And
honestly? she preferred it. She didn’t feel safe anymore and
she doubted she ever would. Cordy’s voice shook her awake
from the light sleep she’d fallen into. ‘ Hey, hey I’m here ‘ she
said grabbing Cordy’s hand as she lifted herself a little bit up
so she could sit properly. Her eyes instinctually went to the
monitor that showed an image of her small rasberry sized
baby. After learning she was truly pregnant Alice had taken
to watching the monitor for copious periods of time. She looked
over at Frank for a second pressing a kiss to his temple before
she looked at Cordy. ‘ I’m so relieved you’re okay,’ she looked
up and down ‘ and you look so pretty i’m sorry we didn’t get
to spend any time at the wedding ‘
cordelia’s eyes grew wide in amazement as she heard alice
speak, tears nearly springing to her eyes as her heart beat
out of her chest. ‘ you’re awake. ’ was all she managed to get
out as tears began spilling over. squeezing her cousins hand the
tiniest bit tighter as alice caught her up on what had happened
since she’d last visited. a mixture of elation and relief coursing
through her body as she nodded her head to whatever she said.
‘ i’m fine you don’t have to worry about me. ’ cordy offered,
unable to help the smile that spread on her lips. alice was the one
in the hospital bed, yet she still asked if cordelia was okay. for
a second a melancholy feeling washed over her as she thought
about all the years of this she’d missed out on, but just as quickly
dismissed them thinking ahead at all the years she’d finally get to
spend with her family.
shaking her head cordy patted alice’s hand softly ‘ don’t be silly,
alice. we’ll have enough time to spend together. you just need to
focus on getting out of here and making sure that the little one
is okay. ’

quentin cassidy.
“C’mon Cord, it’s really not that bad, just a scratch, ya don’t have ta stress out like- ah-”
He winced lightly as the girl pressed something cool and stinging with a cloth to the small cut under his cheek, pouting as she scrubbed away. He would have folded his arms over his chest, but he doubted it would do anything more than make him look like an impertinent child to her, especially considering he was seated on her kitchen counter.
“’M serious…’m fine, ya just gotta warn me when ya do…that- ah! No fair. You knew I wasn’t paying attention.”
He pouted more, nose wrinkling as he leaned back away from the offending cloth and the girl, neither of whom were really his friends in that moment.
‘ the more you fidget the longer it takes, peaches. ’ cordelia
informed slapping away quentin’s hand every time he tried to
intervene with her work ‘ you’ll thank me later. ’ she added
cheekily as she wet the cloth in her hand with some rubbing
alcohol before dabbing it onto the cut on the side of his head.
the events of the wedding had been a true tragedy, something
that still weighed heavy on her shoulders. she was thankful
though that her friends managed to get out with minor cuts and
bruises. refusing to let her mind explore the possibilities of far
worse outcomes. no, they were alright and thats what mattered.
or at least thats what she kept telling herself. ‘ stop being such
a baby... ’ she ordered grabbing a box of plasters out of her first
aide kit. eyeing them once before peeling back the protective
layers & sticking it over the cut, all the while muffling a laugh.
‘ there.. all finished. ’ she spoke her tone humorous.
‘ you can get down now. ’ she reassured. ‘ you’re all fixed. ’

connor whelan.
regulus nearly stumbled with the weight of cordelia’s body against his. his
arms swept around her, holding her close to him, pressing his face into the
crook of her neck. he could feel her heartbeat thumping something erratic
in her chest. he held her closer, hands moving to rub against the fabric of
her shirt. a sick feeling twisted in his gut, a CRUEL and vivid reminder that
the person cordelia leapt to, held close in her arms, was no more real than
regulus black himself was a ghost.
‘ you’re ok. you’re safe.’ SAFE: a foreign concept to them both. regulus,
a fugitive and should-be dead man. cordelia, a sweet and sad girl on the
wrong side of a war no one will come out of unscathed. it felt like a hand
was tightening over regulus’ heart. he knew the nightmares that plagued
her, no doubt at the hand of men and women he used to call friends. the
word felt dirty now. unclean and sour on his tongue.
slowly, regulus shuffled them back into her flat, arms still curled around
cordelia’s thin frame. there was a comfort in her, the feel of her chest on
his, her breath warm on his cheek, however FALSE the pretences may
be. ‘ another nightmare? ’ he knew the answer, but asked anyway, and
took a step back ever so slightly to look at her. even regulus was plagued
by them. he could hardly remember the last decent night’s sleep he’d had,
though it certainly wasn’t helped by his tragically uncomfortable bed.
you’re safe. relief shot through cordelia as she listened to those two
words roll off connor’s tongue with ease. you’re safe. she knew better,
but in that moment she couldn’t help but believe him. with the warmth
of his body pressed against hers as his arms held her close, she believed
him. and as temporary as it would be, she’d take it. because if there
was anything she had had learned growing up, it was how to make due
with what you had. cordy paid no mind as he shuffled them back into
her house, she needed to hold on for just a little bit longer, before they
both pulled away and she would no longer be surrounded by the
comfort of his embrace.
surprised at how he’d known exactly what was wrong cordy held her
breath. even though they had only known each other for a short time
connor already knew her better than most. it was actually quite odd
when she thought about it. how there had been people in her life she’d
known since she was a child that still didn’t understand her, yet conner,
had it all figured out. it was scary yet comforting at the same time. ‘ its
stupid i know. ’ she answered his question softly as he stepped back to
look at her, her eyes looking straight past him as she tried to think of
the right words. ‘ i think this place is haunting me. ’ she added, the
words almost catching in her throat.
six months had passed since her mother’s death. six months since she
had been back to the house she’d spent her life in. with her mother. who
now, would never be able to step foot there again. hearing the grandfather
clock toll from the upstairs corridor she turned her head to the clock only
now noticing the time. ‘ are you okay? it’s almost one am, you’re never
over this late.. is everything alright? ’ she asked worry present in her tone.

ppl who think that saying “I love you” to someone a lot makes it lose it’s meaning are so boring literally what could make you think that? if someone tells you they love you like 3 times in an hour it means that 3 separate times they were sitting there and thinking about you and how wonderful you are like. smh. say I love you to everyone that you love as often as possible bc sometimes it’s easy to forget that there are people who love you

@heartcfgold ;
Diagon Alley’s buildings sprout from earth like crooked teeth.
The streets are empty, or, as empty as they can be, and for that
Regulus is thankful. His cloak is pulled tight over his chest and
his head bowed as he bobs his way between the streets. His
feet are quiet on the cobblestones, and his silhouette – a thin,
almost skinny thing – paints odd shapes on the walls under
moonlight. His hands are shoved deep in his pockets, fingers
brushing over the wood of his wand in something between
comfort and habit.
He knows the path to Cordelia’s well; he could almost do it
blind. A left and a right, straight on until he’s almost touched
muggle ground, and a sharp turn. He counts his steps as he
weaves around the corners. His heart is racing, and though he
knows she’s safe, albeit a few bruises, Regulus can’t help but
shake the feeling that the dangers have not yet passed. He
reaches her door and knocks twice, like always.
“Della?” His voice is hushed, cautious. Always cautious. “It’s
me, R –” he so desperately wants to say is own name, have
her know it, repeat it, hear the way it moulds itself on her
tongue. “It’s Connor.”
‘ --mum ! ’ cordelia cried out jolting awake so violently it nearly caused
her to fall off the sofa. she’d fallen asleep in the lounge while watching
tele trying to distract herself from, well, everything going on in her life.
sleep had become an all too foreign concept to the blonde. more often
than not her nights were spent awake, walking the hallways of her now
empty family home, wishing sleep would stop playing this cruel game
of hide and seek.
it had been nearly a week since the wedding, a week since the screams
and the cries of the desperate filled cordelia’s head where they had now
taken up permanent residence. a tired sigh escaped her lips as she tried
to put the images out of her head, but how could she? how could she
when they were seared into her memory? when nothing really felt safe
anymore?
her thoughts scattered as the knocking on the door echoed through the
house. her body tensing as her hand shot out immediately reaching for
her wand - freezing half way when the familiar sound of conner’s voice
& his nickname for her reached her ears. the faintest hint of a smile forming
on her lips as she dashed on bare feet to open the door. and without even so
much as a hello her arms were around him, hugging him to her like it was
the only thing that mattered.

cordelia’s weary eyes struggled to stay open as her soft hands
gently held that of alice’s. the occasional beeping of the machinery
that alice was hooked up to the only thing breaking the silence
that engulfed the room. it had been nearly forty-eight hours since
the wedding had fallen into absolute chaos. the anarchy and death
that followed were still burned into the backs of cordy’s eyes,
replaying the horrific scenes over and over. raking a hand through
her hair and glancing over her shoulder cordelia’s sights landed on
a tired and defeated frank. he had been up ever since they had
first arrived at st. mungo’s, refusing to leave alice’s side for anything,
not even for sleep. but the body can only go so long without it.
quietly getting up from the chair she sat in, she grabbed a blanket
from the nearby cupboard, draping it over him carefully as he slept
before returning to alice’s side. & as she took alice’s hand into hers
again a sigh escaped her lips. ‘ please alice, please wake up. you
have to wake up. ’ she begged as green coloured hues flitted to the
monitor next to the bed, showing the life growing inside of her. turning
back only to rest her head on the bed next to her cousin. ‘ you have
to. ’ she spoke, her voice a mere whisper.

dedalus diggle.
@heartcfgold
The concept of time had been long lost to the man as he agonized by himself while sitting on the floor of a waiting room, his back against the wall. The cramped up space felt almost as chaotic as the wedding, but Dedalus couldn’t tell for how long he’d been there. People had come and gone. Some with relieved smiles on their faces, others with piercing screams of despair as they were delivered bad news. The worst had always been “that person hasn’t come in yet”. He paid attention to them a few times, but was mostly stuck inside his own head with his own silent piercing screams. He’d been told that once Benjy was stable enough to have visitors, he’d be the first one to know, so he’d just let himself slide down the wall and stay there, small and quiet, in wait as his mind snowballed over and over again with possible scenarios. The right thing to do would be to search for other friends and see how they were, or just let them know he’d found Benjy, but he couldn’t bring himself to move.
cordelia had been pacing the halls of st. mungo’s for hours.
drinking coffee after coffee trying to steady the trembling in
her hands as the events of the wedding kept coming back to
her. the best and worst case scenarios popping in and out of
her mind as her head - which she usually held high - hung
solemnly in fear of the unknown. she had only just found her
family & now there was a chance she could lose them just
as quickly as she’d found them. it was when she rounded the
corner for the coffee machine for what would be the billionth
time in the span of a day that she saw him, dedalus, sitting on
the floor, head slumped over and riddled with grief. immediately
her senses kicked in, approaching him slowly as if she were
approaching a wounded animal. ‘ ded ’ the words left her lips
coated in sadness and hesitation. but her friend needed her.
kneeling down beside him she looked him in the eye, her heart
almost instantly breaking. ‘ are you okay? ’ she asked, her voice
quiet as she pulled him close to her, hugging him tightly.

yoyo vee here and after 397862 years ive finally done it & nameless is no longer nameless, thats right u heard me so lemme introduce you to my smollest most purest sweet summer child cordelia holloway aka cordelia fortescue aka bob. brING ME PLOTS!!1!!!
+ growing up life wasn’t all that bad for cordelia. her mother, juliet holloway was a v well known curse-breaker & she had never met her father ( as according to her mum she didn’t know who her father was ) this would be an immense thorn in young cordy’s side but she was never one to complain, she might have wanted both parents in her life but she’d choose one over none at all.
+ as a child she caught a really bad case of dragonpox, nearly losing her life to it in the process. due to this cordy spent nearly 8 weeks of her life confined at st. mungo’s as she saw treatment.
+ cordelia isn’t afraid to show affection, in fact she’s what you could call ‘overly affectionate’ when it comes to the people she likes. having grown up with no siblings ( but always wanting them ) she pretty much just adopts her friends into siblings. nicknames will be dealt out in heaps and no fucks will be given. petal, babe, cutie, sugar, cupcake, you think it she’s probably nicknamed someone it. she loves fully and unconditionally.
+ shes a polymath in every sense of the word, very open to new things, always asking question, any situation could and probably is a new life lesson for her. not getting answers or denied the truth drives her up the wall & truthfully has a hard time taking no for an answer.
+ ever since she was a child she’d had issues with following rules, espeically if they didn’t seem right or fair to her. she will speak up when it comes to what she stands for comepletely unabashed & unapologetic.
+ not prone to anger at all and is a very patient babe. not to be confused with being a pushover though. its all rainbows and smiles until you push her too far and she pushes back, because in the end she will do what she needs to protect herself ( and the people she loves & cares for )
+ back at hogwarts cordelia was a griffyndor. studious but did get docked a lot of houspoints for tardiness as she’d tend to get distracted easily. ( theres always something more interesting going on )
+ when cordy first started at hogwarts her mother was digosed with a terminal illness and sadly a couple of months before graduation her mum died. leaving school early she went back home to bury her mother and when doing so ( aka sorting through stuff ) she stumbled upon her birth cerificate ( on which florean fortescue is named her father ) ( which was confusing as heckie to her because shes been told her entire life that her mother didnt know who her father was, which turned out to be a big bold faced lie )
+ anyways so after this its sad ofc and she is filled with grief at the loss of her mum but cordelia returns to hogwarts finishing school and finally graduating.
+ after graduation she sets out into the world with a clear goal in mind ( aka find daddy ) but on her way to finding her father she meets the merry band of misfits that is the cahills & co. and joins the lot of them #criminalprotoge making a whole bunch of new fam and picking up a new traid or two #shelivesforthisshit
+ yeah she gets kinda sidetracked on her mission to finding her pops.. but in the end (aka a couple of days before the longbottom & fortescue wedding) cordy tracks down ( with the help of her ganG ) ian ( and alice since shes staying there for the time being ) and sURPRISE hi new fam betcha didn’t know i existed.
character parallels; elle woods, veronica mars, buffy summers, eliza schuyler, torrance shipman, jane villanueva.

She tasted like wine and smelt of pink roses.
She danced as if her feet and heart were aflame.
But what you noticed first, Her light.
For even the moonlight sky seemed to dull in honor of her beauty
