What are your favorite fan games and/or fanworks? And don't you know if there will be a translation for LoT2 +Disk? This one's a little random but i really want that expansion

A brief list (developers in paraentheses):

Genius of Sappheiros (Strawberry Bose): the greatest RPG of all time. It’s just a good combat system. Also what got me into translating in the first place. Not that I translated it or anything, but I played it in Japanese with only two years of Japanese classes under my belt, and trying to figure out what was going on forced me to get serious about practicing. I wrote a terrible text LP of it way back when. I don’t like the later works by Strawberry Bose quite as much.

Labyrinth of Touhou 2 (Nise Eikoku Shinshidan): a good game that’s based on Etrian Odyssey yet also nothing like Etrian Odyssey. I particularly enjoyed the fact that level grinding was actively discouraged: you get a bonus for beating bosses at the recommended level, and can even temporarily de-level yourself if necessary. Although in the late game the recommended levels started inflating exponentially so I never did the postgame stuff. I never realized until just now that the circle who made it is called the Fake English Gentlemen (or Gentlemen of Fake England).

Fantasy Maiden Wars (Sanbondo): a Touhou game with an actual plot. The SRW-based gameplay is an acquired taste, but I’m told it’s pretty good even for one of those, in particular the way it handles boss lifebars. I’ve been actively involved in a translation project for this and I believe I’ve mentioned that it’s made me cry. To be honest, I wouldn’t say it’s actually all that well-written (too many characters talking too much), but it presents a hyper-dramatic re-imagination of Touhou and I approve.

Touhou Puppet Dance Performance (Focas Lens): it’s literally Pokemon. Put together your favorite team and have fun! It streamlines a lot of the more obtuse Pokemon game mechanics (EVs and IVs and Hidden Abilities oh my!), making it a lot easier to create your ideal team. The fact that you can choose your starter from any named character in the series and they come with guaranteed perfect IVs is nothing short of amazing. And with the expansion they will also follow you around on the map like Pikachu in Yellow. Very cute. There’s is no downside.

Basically some kind people took the translations on the wiki, completed them, and then edited them into the actual visual format of the book, which I think helps a lot.
