SPARKS OF REBELLION (THG SERIES)
Plutarch Heavensbee has been, for several years, part of an undercover group aiming to overthrow the Capitol. All the group needed was a spark. AO3 THG series centred around the origins of rebellion in the Capitol.
She smelled like white rosesΒ serves as the introduction with President Snowβs second wife, Virgilia Snow, who seems a mere trophy wife. When she discovers the past with its books, political theories, and rebellions, she begins to see the world anew. The secret relationship that is slowly developing between her and Plutarch Heavensbee might also help to change hearts and minds. [Light themes of abuse present, warned before corresponding chapters & explained in the end notes]:
Summary:Β Mrs. Snow was married to her husband for more years than her fingers could count and Mr. Heavensbee had great plans laid out for the nation that would get him removed from the precious thing called βlifeβ if found out. Somehow, both collide at an evening dinner, share a few interests, and repeatedly have to remind themselves that they shouldnβt be that foolish. But one can rebel against the President in more ways than either of them imagined. Or: The story where Plutarch Heavensbee has to add one more liability to the list of βpeople to protectβ and it is getting awfully crowded.
Burning Bright in the City of the NightΒ is a oneshot about Tigris that bridges the events of the prequel with the trilogy. Questions such as 'how did Tigris and Snow fall out?β or 'why did Tigris join the rebellion?β are answered here. Also the lesbian realisation hitting hard:
Summary:Β Snow lands on top, Coriolanus had said. But Tigris hadnβt thought about the fall that would follow from its peak. This is where discarded stylists go when they are no longer of use. One-Shot to bridge the prequel with the trilogy, and how Tigris became a tiger.
Birds of the Capitol takes place during the original trilogy when the first sparks ignite the country. Explored through three point of views and various flashbacks, the rebellion's work behind the scenes is revealed.
Summary: The Capitol rebels were awaiting a spark to light a fire across Panem. No one expected a tribute from District 12 to inspire them once more. Their anticipated plan was finally coming into motion, but at what cost? And how had they found each other? Plutarch Heavensbee came from an old Capitol lineage. But something caused him to abandon his privilege for a better vision of Panem. Caesar Flickerman was the mere host of the Hunger Games. But his proximity to the tributes was a worthwhile tool for more forces than the regime. Virgilia Snow once married the President. But her silent existence by his side had long been corrupted.

how dare i forget!! @caesarflickermans reminding of the important things π
for virgilia's birthday, plutarch bakes her a special bread that includes flowers from their garden. he worked so hard to have a recipe that works and he thinks it's the best bread he ever baked.
plutarch bakes bread and he enjoys it. just picture him with his sleeves rolled up so his forearms are showing, the first few buttons of his shirt open, and he's kneading the dough.
#| β° headcanons / history has its eyes on you .#| β° virgilia / there is no safe investment. to love at all is to be vulnerable .#(I FEEL SO BAD FOR HAVING FORGOTTEN)

βWe have him forever, thank heaven. But not long enough.β -James Lipton
βI thought about a lot of things, and some of them involved losing myself. You try to be artful for the film, but itβs hard. Iβd finish a scene, walk right off the set, go in the bathroom, close the door and just take some breaths to regain my composure. In the end, Iβm grateful to feel something so deeply, and Iβm also grateful that itβs over. And thatβs my life.β -PSH
"And now it is Phil who is saving usβour love for him, for his family, and most especially for his children. Now it is up to us to spread that humanityβto take what he gave us and give it to others, by loving as he did, by seeing the possibilities in others as he did, and by laughing as he did." -Kristina Poe
βIβm afraid Iβll be the kind of actor who thought he would make a difference and didnβt. Right now, though, I feel like I made a little bit of difference.β -PSH

I think quite honestly he is such an amazing actor and I felt--and I think everybody including all the other actors--felt really lucky to be working with him. And felt so blessed that he wanted to be a part of this. I learned a lot from him in terms of acting. Partly because his process is very external. Jen doesn't like to rehearse, doesn't like to talk about things, she's very instinctive, very intuitive. You can kind of talk with her after the fact, but not really before. What I really learned from him--it's kind of a masterclass in scene break down of emotional beats and relationships and dynamics. Watching him work and watching him grind a scene was really fascinating and I learned an immense amount from him. That's my big takeaway. β Francis Lawrence
I worked with him a lot. He was an extraordinary actor. I think one of the greatest of my generation. It was apparent the minute he started working. The first time I saw him was in Paul Thomas Anderson's movie Hard Eight, which was the film before Boogie Nights. He really stood out. His voice, his presence, his delicacy, and his accuracy of presentation. He was a tremendous actor and it's a great loss. β Julianne Moore
The first moment that pops in my mind was that he left me a voicemail after he saw Catching Fire. So my first time working with him was on Catching Fire and he only worked with us for two or three weeks or something. We were super super excited to work with him and he came in and he did he did a great job. He didn't bond really with everybody in the way that we thought. We obviously knew he was going through some stuff that we became much more open about later. But he saw the movie and he loved the movie and I remember you know he leaving me this voicemail about how much he loved the movie and sort of pledging how much harder he's going to work on the next ones to do an amazing job and I have to say I saved that voicemail for probably six years. I actually wish--I still wish--that I hadn't erased it, but I felt like it was time that I had to erase it. β Francis Lawrence
