CHAPTER 6 : I’m holding your hand at the edge of the cliff
Leedo was the fastest and caught the human when she collapsed like a puppet with cut wires.
- What the...? Xion was shocked by this reaction.
The older vampire says nothing, lifting the young woman in his arms before turning to his younger brother.
- It doesn't matter. Let's go, the others are waiting for us
- Do you think it's a good idea to just take her with us like that? Even in this day and age, kidnapping people is wrong," Xion said with a raised eyebrow.
Something passed in Leedo's eyes. A spark of guilt that Xion did not miss. He never missed anything when it came to his eldest. And he felt bad about making him feel guilty. But he couldn't remain silent. Everything could go wrong, and the idea of losing control frightened the younger one.
- We don't have time to wait for her to wake up. She needs to help us treat Keonhee and Hwanwoong.
A sigh, but Xion did not protest any further. The situation was bad enough as it was, but nothing worse than what they had experienced in the past. Better going with the flow than going against it. So they set off in the direction of their hiding place.
****
When Seijin returned to her, she felt a sharp pain pierce her skull. Was it a bump from when she fell? No, she felt no pain in her head. Just that headache. Her eyes fluttered, opening to an unknown environment. A whiff of panic came over her when she realized she was no longer in her apartment.
Where was she? How did she get there? She was having trouble thinking, her hand coming to rest on her forehead as she slowly straightened up. A wave of dizziness forced her to close her eyes for a moment before she felt better.
Straightened up and more alert, she looked around her. She was surrounded by stone, the cool wind from outside was blowing gently, and she saw a few rays of sunlight illuminating the place in an almost etheral way. The atmosphere was surnatural, and the silence didn't help that feeling of being in a dream.
The silence was quickly broken by the sound of footsteps in the granular soil coming from a male with a rather high-pitched, nasal voice.
- You are finally awake!
The relief was audible in these few words, and Seijin turned to the owner of the voice. She came face to face with a beautiful but deadly creature. She recognized his face, the black hair, the pale skin, and the two rings on his ears. It was one of the people of the massacre.
The words of her parents came back to her. The fact that the legend is true, the story of the necklace... She still refused to believe it despite what she had seen. After all, she couldn't accept the existence of magic and vampires overnight. And yet in front of her stood a presumed vampire monarch, capable of the worst horrors she had ever seen. She couldn't even say a word.
He didn't give her time to recover from the shock or incomprehension that he was already close to her, grabbing her arm and lifting her up with force. Seijin cried out in pain, the grip being too tight and the movement too abrupt. But he totally ignored her discomfort, dragging her behind him without asking her opinion.
He dragged her to another place, where she saw five other people. They stopped walking and Seijin finally had a chance to observe her surroundings. Two of the men were on the ground, asleep? She wasn't sure since one of them was the one who had been shot in the shoulder, so he may passed out. The other...was the little one she had looked into the eyes. His condition seemed worse than the first one, with sweat on his forehead and his frowning eyebrows in pain. Her gaze then took the time to observe the others. They were intimidating, beautiful and above all dangerous. The whole body of the young woman was tense and ready to react if anything should happen.
- Heal them," said the one who had pulled him here.
- ... Pardon?
- I said take care of them!
She frowned without moving. She glanced at the two on the floor before shifting her attention to the man closest to her.
- Not only am I not a doctor, but I have no reason to help you. You slaughtered men in front of my eyes, you kidnapped me and you expect me to do something for you?

CHAPTER 5 : Break up is the same for everyone
The place was swarming with police taking notes, and scientist noting the clues... Yugyeom, alone with the police, watched Seijin coming towards him flanked by his two bodyguards.
- You are expected in Mrs. Kang's office.
A sentence that was more than enough for the young woman to make her way to the “control center” there.
When she entered the familiar room, the scene would not have surprised her except for the presence of her father.
It could be said that both parents Kang were a match made in heaven. They had the same character, common goals and lack of morals. Nevertheless, each being busy in their own field, they rarely got together. Having them both present made the situation even more serious. With them were Jaebum, Jackson and Jinyoung. Jackson had a bandage around his forehead, Jaebum had his fists clenched, and Jinyoung's hand holding his elbow proved that he must have just been scolded. Seijin noticed papers and a paperweight on the floor. It was there that she noticed his mother's pinched features and stormy eyes.
- Mother... Father, formally greeted Seijin by stopping in the middle of the room.
Namjoon and Yoongi stood against a wall, at a good distance, discreetly.
- You still haven't fired your two doggies?
Seijin does not react to her mother's remark. The latter only opened her mouth to spit out her venom anyway. Instead, she decided to change the subject.
- You called me about last night?
- Indeed, says simply Kang Sora
- ..... and so? pushed Seijin
- What you saw... We had no intention of telling you about it. In fact, it should never have been about you. Contrary to what we expected before we had you, you're not as deserving as we thought. But the situation is such that we can't keep you in secret any longer.
Seijin felt lost. She didn't understand what her mother was saying and even dreaded this famous secret. In any case, she didn't feel hurt by her words. It was quite soft, she had already insulted Seijin in worse ways than that. The student said nothing, waiting for her mother or father to continue.
- Do you know the legend of this necklace? Kang Eunji asked.
- The one about the monarchs who became vampires and of Helios.
Her mother nodded her head and opened a drawer in her desk to look for something.
- It's all true.
- W-what? What do you mean it's all true? Mother, what are you saying, it's just a legend....
- Don't play dumb. You saw those monsters last night, don't show your idiocy to everyone by denying what happened.
Her mother's dry tone caused Seijin to close her mouth and clench her teeth.
- These abominations came out of their sleep, stole the necklace, and regained their power. As highter up in the ranks of Helios, this is a real disgrace.
Apparently, her mother must have been repeating this for a while, given Eunji's raised eyes.
- Your parents are priests of the cult of Helios. The guards who work for them are Warriors of Helios," Jinyoung began to explain, "Helios is worshipped in exchange for certain...magical bonuses. In exchange, we are supposed to protect the collar and Helios from the monarchs, but we just missed our first mission.
- I see... And what do you expect from me now?
- Nothing at all, cut her mother, we just didn't want you sticking your nose in our buisness to try to understand, which could have got us into trouble. Now that you know what's going on, you can go back to your little life and try not to shame us.
Seijin clenched her jaw again. Within 24 hours, her world had just changed, disturbing and frankly frightening truths had been dropped on her head, and she was just asked to keep her head down as to not shame them? They expected her to go back to the doghouse with her head down? Seijin wanted to scream, to get angry, to throw their truths in their faces, but she didn't do anything. She hadn't been brought up like that, and it wouldn't get her anywhere. At the moment, her head was spinning and a severe headache was coming. She had to digest all this, probably scream in horror, cry a lot, deny everything she had just learned before she calmly accepted the new situation.
- ... Well... If that's all you wanted to tell me, can I go? I plan to avoid going to class to not risk anything with the reporters who will be waiting for me at every turn.
- Good idea.
Seijin made a polite sign to the guards who returned it to her. Her gaze catched Jinyoung's mouth telling her that they would come to see her later. After an imperceptible nod, she left.
To tell the truth, it made her uncomfortable. She was far from being close to Jaebum and his group, she didn't like them very much. And the idea that they wanted to see her... She wondered what information she would still have to absorb today.
Once out of the office Seijin sighed and rubbed her temples. She was startled when she felt a hand on her back and turned to see Namjoon's worried expression.
- Let's go home, you need to rest.
A simple yes from the head, and there they were on their way to the car. The return trip was silent, and Seijin ordered the two guards to go home. Alone in the apartment, she barely had her buttocks on the couch when someone knocked on her door. She frowned, wondering if one of the men had forgotten something, and went to open the door.
Her first mistake then was to not look through the peephole to check who was at the door. Her second mistake was to let her emotions overwhelm her when she saw the faces in front of her. As her eyes fell on the faces of two of the six men from the night before, confusion, fear and shock caused her to lose consciousness. The last thing she felt was two arms preventing her from concussion by smashing her skull to the ground.

CHAPTER 4 : I should have loved you even more like crazy
- How are we going to find the trace of the human? asked Xion, running at vampire speed alongside Leedo.
- We go back to the place where the necklace was.
- W-WHAT?
Leedo gave the younger one a warning look after his exclamation of surprise. Xion then resumed more gently.
- Are you out of your mind? Do you want us to go back there? After they managed to hurt Keonhee and Hwanwoong? That's suicide!
- Do you have another idea to track the human? The only place where she has been seen is there, hopefully, we'll find an olfactory trace to follow, otherwise, we'll wait around. If she was there, it's because she's connected to the people who attacked us, she'll eventually come back.
The vampire's long statement, for him normally rather silent, left Xion tong tide. He knew that his elder was not wrong, but the plan was too flawed. There were so many things that could go wrong.
When they arrived at the place they had just fled, they hid in the shadows of the dark alleys. They did not get too close. They couldn't anyway.
- What's that?" Xion asked, wrinkling his nose adorably, confused by the situation.
- Magic for sure...I don't know exactly what, but it keeps us from getting close to it.
- It gives me a familiar feeling...
- Me too, but we'll have time to see that later, we have other more important things before
The two vampires then looked at the building, patient enough to wait to see if the human whose scent they had memorized would return to the scene of the robbery.
****
Seijin suddenly straightened up in his bed. Her breathing was erratic, and her skin was covered with a thin layer of sweat. Hier brown hair stuck to her forehead and her eyes were wide open in fear, showing dilated pupils. She could feel her heart beating in her chest and ears as she became aware of her surroundings. She sighed with relief when she saw that she was in her room. Her dreams had been haunted by bloody and macabre visions. Nightmares that had clawed their way into her mind and had not let her wake up.
She got up and looked for her phone for a moment before she remembered that she had left all her stuff at the gallery. She was going to have to go back and get them and she had absolutely no desire to do so after last night.
The smell of pancake reached her nostrils and she frowned. Her parents, aren’t one to cook, and they couldn’t be present in the apartment right now. Moreover they hadn't hired anyone to cook since Seijin was able to cook for herself.
Still, in her pajamas, she went to the living room and found Yoongi behind the stove, Namjoon sitting at the kitchen island.
- Hello, I see you've made yourself comfortable.
They turned their faces towards her at the sound of her voice. None of them smiled as they usually would. The three humans had horrible faces. Obviously Seijin was not the only one who hadn't slept.
- Your mother called Seijin, did Namjoon as a greeting
Seijin pursed her lips as she heard the words of his bodyguard. Without a word, she went to sit with him on a stool.
- What did she want?
- She apparently got wind of your presence at yesterday's events... She wants to talk to you about it," says Namjoon, "She told me she tried to call you but she couldn't get through....
- No wonder, all my stuff stayed there yesterday.
- She seemed to be annoyed Seijin, Yoongi calmly said.
A sentence seems to be of no importance, except to Seijin for whom it was a bad omen. Kang Sora, Seijin's mother is a cold and calculating woman. She is the youngest of a large family and had to climb up the social ladder with her beak and nail. She is a queen of low blows and doesn't usually let her emotions get the better of her. The fact that she let her anger show so clearly meant only one thing: last night's events were more serious than expected.
It wasn't the first time that attempts were made to steal the gallery and there were deaths in the process. There was something strange behind the theft of the necklace, and Seijin, by being present with his bodyguards, found herself involved in a situation that seemed to her to be disadvantageous.
- At least we might learn more about what we saw yesterday," said the young woman as she began to eat the pancakes Yoongi had just served her.
- Speaking of which, I still find it hard to believe what I saw," Namjoon said, rubbing his eyes, "I'm still looking for a plausible explanation for it all.
- I'm considering the hypothesis of a satanist group or something like that," Yoongi said, leaning against the counter on the island.
- It's possible, honestly, I haven't given it much thought, I haven't recovered from what I saw.
- It's not the first time you've seen dead people Seijin," said the eldest bodyguard.
- Perhaps. But this is the first time I've seen such a massacre... What time does my mother want to see me?
The two men did not notice her change of subject. They told her that she had just said as soon as possible. With a nod, Seijin returned to her food, and a good half hour later the trio was in the car heading for the gallery.
The latter was closed and guard by the cops, with curious people pressing up the safety strips. She hadn't turned on the TV, but no doubt the news was on the news. After all, the KANGs were not just anyone in the city. The car was parked just before the security perimeter.
- Well...let's go
The lady puts on her mask of calm and indifference before opening the door. Namjoon and Yoongi soon framed her as reporters huddled around her to learn more about her progress. Of course, the police let her pass, and she walked head up towards the entrance of the gallery. The same entrance she had used the day before and which today was unguarded, the guards having been replaced by police officers.
A feeling of being watched suddenly sent shivers down her spine, and the brunette turned her head to observe the adjacent streets. She saw nothing, but the feeling did not completely disappear until she was inside the known walls of the gallery.

CHAPTER 3 : Only regrets remain
Incomprehension. How had they woken up? Who had delivered them from their suffering? Many questions, few answers.
- We have to get the necklace back, said the smaller one.
- Without knowing where it is, it will be complicated, said the youngest, who was uncomfortable in this situation he did not understand.
- Just listen to the call... it’s crying out for us to come, said the tallest of the six.
- We don't have a choice anyway. If we don't get our souls and our powers back, we won't stand a chance against him, answered the older one, Let's not waste any more time, let's go.
The six men then set off, following the call from one part of them who had been away for too long.
They arrived in an unknown place. But everything was unknown to them from the moment they woke up. Too much had changed, they didn't recognize anything they saw or smelled. And while this aroused the curiosity of some in the group, others did not like the situation. The feeling of not knowing anything, of not being in control of anything got on the youngest's nerves, and his tense silence was a good indicator for the others not to pull too much on the rope with him.
When finally the necklace was in front of them, other strangers stood in front of them. Men, humans, impressive but not dangerous for them who faced much more powerful monsters. They didn't know the things they were holding in their hands and pointing at them, but that shouldn't stop them. The change in the air created by the arrival of three more humans registered in the minds of the six vampires, but they didn't turn to look at who had just arrived. Their goal was right in front of them, singing them to come closer, to claim what belonged to them. Drawn by the same magical pulsionn, the six men stepped forward. And all around them, hell exploded.
Their sensitive ears were hurt by the sounds of detonation. A mini-explosion that agitated their instincts. Then came the pain. The pain that these things had just created, piercing them from side to side. The smell of their blood, feeding their rage. As if they were going to let these unknown weapons stop them so close to their goal. One centimeter, one more step, and Hwanwoong closed his fingers on the collar. At last...
They felt the seal rise, they felt the strength return to their bodies, and their wounds close, healing with the return of their powers. When their eyes fell on the humans who had wounded them, an evil smile appeared on the lips of the eldest.
- Be merciful, said the deep-voiced one.
- They don't deserve my mercy, replied the person concerned before attacking.
Their teeth stuck in the jugular, blood flowed into their thirsty throats as they began to suck the last breath of life from these poor humans. The monarchs of the past would never have attacked like this, without mercy, without discussion. They had changed, they had been forced to change by being lock in endless nightmares. Kill, kill, kill, and survive. They had to survive until they found the person responsible for their sad fate. Revenge was a sweet thing sometimes.
Hwanwoong, threw himself on an other man, tearing off bare-toothed his chair. When he raised his head, he crossed the eyes of a human girl. She was different from the others. Terrified, shocked, surprised, petrified. He could feel her blood pulsing through her body with every excessively rapid heartbeat. He could see her chest lifting irregularly, breath cut off by fear. It was one second of distraction, just one, but it was enough for him to hear a groan of pain.
When he turned his head, he saw the tallest of the group on the ground holding his shoulder.
- Keonhee! Seoho shouted as he rushed towards him.
Hwanwoong then looked at the person responsible for the injury. His weapon was different from the others, he understood. If they weren't careful, this thing would kill them this time. He still didn't know the difference from what had hit them earlier, but only two of the humans seemed to be able to do this.
- Ravn! Leedo! Xion! Keonhee! Seoho! We must go. We have to go now!
Four heads turned towards him. Leedo nodded, going to grab Xion's arm to move. Seoho seemed to be taking care of Keonhee; only Ravn remained. Hwanwoong turned to him, watching him continue the massacre, lost in a frenzy he did not recognize. He frowned and swallowed, his gaze falling for a moment on one of the two men pointing the weapon at the eldest. Hwanwoong did not think, rushing towards the last one, he pushed him from the trajectory of the bullet. Instantly, a sharp pain blossomed in the lower right of his back. He screamed falling to the ground. The pain pulsed continuously and he felt a strange cold spreading around the wound.
- Hwanwoong!
Ravn's voice came clearly to him. The little vampire then realized that his eyes were closed in pain. He heard the older vampire swear and take him in his arms. He screamed in pain again and continued to scream in pain as he felt it being moved. The sounds of detonation continued around them. He heard voices, voices, a door closing and he calmed him down.
- Put him on this thing, Seoho's voice said.
Ravn posed Hwanwoong on what he would later learn to be a couch against a wall in the staff room. Their rest could only be a few seconds they knew it. They had to move fast.
- What do we do? What do we do? We have no way out of this situation. Hwanwoong and Keonhee are wounded by unknown weapons and we're in a world we don't know, Xion's slightly hysterical voice rose.
- Calm down, Leedo said softly to the youngest, We'll find something.
- We don't have time! cried the youngest child.
A smell then tickled Hwanwoong's distant mind. He growled and mumbled something that caught the attention of others.
- What? asked Seoho
- The smell...the human...not with them, repeated the smalest
These words draw the attention of the other vampires to the origin of the human smell, stronger than the others. What looked like a satchel with various strange objects fall under their eyes.
- He wants us to follow the scent of this human? asked Xion in disbelief.
- …. Hwanwoong has his reasons for advising us this. We don't have time to find something else, I can smell the two humans with strange weapons approaching this place. Let's find this one.
Not everyone liked it, but they didn't have anything better at the moment. Ravn took Hwanwoong, and Seoho returned to help Keonhee. Leedo and Xion prepared to go out first, ready to buy time to allow the two injured men to get a bit of a head start. Leedo smashed down the door, one of the pieces wounding one of the two humans who swore, blood running down his forehead. He held his head, forgetting his weapon. Xion then rushed at the other black-haired man, the one who had given the orders. The surprise and the fact that his companion was suddenly wounded diverted his attention long enough for the young monarch to make him drop his weapon. The four others in the meantime took their legs at their stroke.
- Leedo! Xion! Come, Ravn shouted rowing both
They ran, eventually found an exit, and decided to get away from the place before chasing the human scent. Eventually, they went back to where they came from. An abandoned site, a kind of Roman-style stone circus. No one will find them here. After discussion, it was decided that Leedo and Xion would go hunting the human. The other two would take care of the wounded who did not seem to be healing. Thus, they separated for the first time since their awakening.

CHAPTER 2 : After losing you I’m out of breath
Seijin saw six men standing near the necklace. They did not move, observing the weapons pointed at them. Dressed in black and white, they exuded a special aura. Something about them frightened Seijin, like prey in front of a predator. It made her squirm, wondering who they could be to make her feel this way. Jaebum and Jackson were there, weapons pointed at the intruders along with the other guards. They didn't turn their heads towards her and her bodyguards, but Seijin didn’t doubt that they knew she was there, witnessing what was happening. Jaebum's eyes were burning with hatred and determination. No one spoke, the silence was like a suffocating blanket. Time seemed to have stopped.
Then the six men stepped forward to the collar. And it all happened very quickly. The gun were shoot. The bullets penetrated the defenseless bodies with a wet sound. The blood spurted and stained the white shirts and the immaculate floor of the gallery in red. The faces of the six men were deformed into grimaces of pain. But...that did not stop them. None of them fell to the ground, none of them seemed to feel their hearts stop. Surprise, shock, and fear animated the faces of the three observers.
- What's that? murmured Namjoon as the smallest of the group reached the necklace.
The blood-red hand stretched to the jewel, and when his fingers touched it... Seijin ended up on the floor after feeling a shock wave go through the air. Namjoon and Yoongi were still standing, but they were not better. Neither of them understood what was going on, what was happening in front of their eyes. The eldest bodyguard knelt next to the lady to help her get up, but they were soon distracted by the rest of the show.
Something had changed in the intruders. Their movements were not the same, and they were beginning to give back what they were receiving. To the horror of the spectators, the six men threw themselves on guards, their teeth closing in on their necks. Seijin could see the skin tearing off, tendons, and other muscles tightening and breaking. The blood was spurting out even more than before, the metallic smell invaded her nostrils and made her nauseous. She had never seen this before, it pure savagery. Sometimes bones cracked as easily as wooden twigs. And no one seemed to be able to stop these men. The bullets didn't seem to have done anything to them, and they seem faster? Then a body fell to the ground not far from Seijin. Above him, the smallest one, his jaw was covered with the red liquid, his eyes had an inhuman glow, and they crossed those of the young lady. The few seconds it lasted were the longest in Seijin's life, then the man turned his head toward the apocalypse behind him.
- Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Jackson, the special bullet! Jaebum shouted.
Jackson unloaded the munition currently occupying his weapon, and put on another, not forgetting to throw some at Jaebum when he passed by. He then turned to the three people on the floor.
- What are you waiting for to get her out of there?! his face was deformed by anger.
At least it had made Namjoon and Yoongi move. The three turned their backs on the horror taking place in the peaceful Kang Gallery.
When they were in the car, moving away from the massacre, a strange silence hovered.
- I forgot my things there... Seijin suddenly broke the silence
- Are we going to talk about what we just saw? Yoongi asked in return.
- …..
- Seijin? said Namjoon looking in the rearview mirror.
Seijin looked at him, saw his hands so tight on the steering wheel that the knuckles were white. She turned her eyes to Yoongi who was clenching his fists. She then looked at her knees, seeing her own hands shaking uncontrollably. Now that they were far away, and the adrenaline was flowing down, Seijin felt the fatigue, and fear hit her. She wanted to close her eyes and pretend none of this had happened. Then she realized how terrified she was. Despite their apparent calm, they were all shocked by what they had seen.
- No. I...I don't feel like I can talk about it right now. We'll discuss it in the morning...we'll...see what happens then.
Namjoon and Yoongi dropped Seijin off. When she entered the living room the silence greeted her. Of course, neither of her parents were present, which did not surprise her. Her footsteps were silent on the way to her room.
She closed the door behind her and stood there, staring blankly in front of her. Then a powerful urge to wash took her. She rushed to the bathroom, breathing rapidly and her heart pounding. She had to wash herself, she had to get rid of the smell of blood sticking to her skin like the smell of cigarette. Not a drop of blood had reached her, but once she was under the jet of burning water, she couldn't stop rubbing herself until her skin was red. She had to wash herself of what she had seen. Slowly, still in the shower, she felt herself falling to her knees. A sob ripped her, then another, before she found herself crying all the tears in her body.
How not to be shaken and shocked by what she had just seen. She could still feel the bile in her throat, and the images of horror were repeated behind her eyelids.
She came out of the shower a few moments later. Wrapped in a towel, she wiped the mist from the mirror before looking at herself in it. She was pale and had red eyes. Seijin ran one hand through her hair before changing and hiding under her blankets, pulling them up to her chin. She wasn't sure if she could sleep, but at least she could try.

CHAPTER 1: All your words keep lingering in my head
The weather in Seoul was cloudy. A light breeze was blowing, caressing her face and waving her dark hair. The city was bustling with activity, crowded with people, and flooded with the noise of cars and other vehicles.
Seijin walked head down, her eyes on her phone, and her conversation with Jungkook. She seemed to be a nobody at that moment. Simple black jeans, a white shirt, and a beige jacket. Her boots were clicking gently on the ground and a bag hung over her right shoulder. A perfectly normal young woman if you don't count the two men following her at a good distance. Dressed in a rather relaxed manner, they were only attracting the attention of those who were paying attention.
The young lady sighed and put her phone in her bag, ignoring the successive vibrations that agitated the device a few seconds later. Her footsteps were determined and soon she arrived at her destination.
She walked up the steps of the art gallery still open at the end of the afternoon. Her family name was enthroned at the entrance, on the plaque near the door. And even if her relationship with her mother wasn't the best, she at least admire the fact that her art galleries were a real little paradise of calm.
As she reached the top of the stairs, her gaze fell on the guards at the entrance. And her curiosity was piqued. It was not unusual to have two figures standing in front of the doors. But the combination before her was more surprising.
- Jinyoung. Yugyeom, she nodded her head as a greeting
- Miss, replied Jinyoung, who stared at the two men entering after Seijin.
She didn't stop, but couldn't help but question herself a little. It might have been a detail in the eyes of others, but for Seijin it was a detail that bothered her a little. The guards of the art gallery usually worked as pairs. And the girl knew that they formed duets according to their relashionship and competence. That's why Jinyoung and JB were usually together, and Yugyeom worked with Jackson. The younger one rarely worked with the older one directly, as the two tended not to always get along.
- It's rare to see Jinyoung without Jaebum, said the eldest of the men who followed Seijin.
- Indeed...I wonder where he is, replied the young lady.
- Maybe your mother summoned him and he will go back to his partner afterward, made the other man making the girl wince.
- Namjoon, I already told you not to be so formal with me.
- Sorry miss, but this is your mother's land, I wouldn’t want to get fired after all this time for a mistake like this.
She looked up to the sky and walked to the part of the gallery that was closed to the public. By doing so, she passed in front of the treasure of the place: a red necklace resting on a fake marble hand. The red stones of the jewel shone under the artificial lights of the place.
- There weren't as many guards around the necklace last time, Namjoon noted.
With his attention directed towards this detail, Seijin tilted his head slightly to the side.
- Indeed... Yoongi, can you check if there's anything special going on here tonight? If mother has another party I'd rather not be around.
- It's not as if she's going to get you from the back if she is, Yoongi said, taking out his work phone to check.
- Who knows what she would be able to do. And I have some studying to finish, having to smile and socialize with my mother's hypocritical friends would be a waste of time.
The trio arrived at the door leading to the back. Employee room, storeroom, and all the tintouin was in the corridor behind the door. Used to the place, Seijin walked to the employee restroom and entered without knocking, knowing it would be empty at that time. She settled in, taking out her computer and some papers from her bag. The two men stood near her, one by the door, the other against an opposite wall to get a clear view of the only escape in the windowless room.
- You can go and get a coffee or something to eat you know? It's not like I asked you to watch me every minute of my day, says Seijin without looking up from his computer.
- Just because it's not one of your orders doesn't mean we won't do it. We want to keep you alive long enough to see your first white hair, said Yoongi, who received a black look from the girl.
- Hmpf...do as you wish.
Her air of finality brought the conversation to a halt, and she began to work. Why not do it at home? In her huge, empty, silent apartment? Simply because it was always too quiet there, she couldn't concentrate. When she was at home, Namjoon and Yoongi were not with her. She didn't have those little noises of life rocking her ears with an unknown but stress-free rhythm. Here, she could hear the background noises of the art gallery, the breathing of her bodyguards, the sound of Yoongi's fingers tapping the screen of his phone, the sound of his fingers on the keys of her computer typing a report for one of her university. She could have worked like this for a long time if the sound of gunfire hadn't startled her.
Instantly, she looked at the closed door. Namjoon and Yoongi had straightened up and were looking in the same direction as her. No one seemed to come in their direction, but the shooting did not stop.
Let there be no confusion. Seijin was by no means a reckless girl. On the contrary, she was very prudent. But she was also curious, and something in the current situation shook her instincts. She quickly got on her feet and rushed towards the noise, the screams of her bodyguards asking her to stop behind her. Maybe it was fate that made her get up. Maybe higher forces had come into play then. Either way, when Seijin arrived at the scene, her future was sealed. What she saw would be her condemnation or deliverance.

PROLOGUE
Tae-dal, one kingdom, six monarchs, a common destiny in a world of nightmares.
Bathed by the winds, fed by rain and sun, the lands of the kingdom were green, fields full of life, and lush forests. Men would worship their rulers almost as much as they worshipped their gods. And that did not please all the deities. Helios, the Sun God, began to envy the monarchs. Drowning in his dark feelings under the distraught eyes of Selene and Eos, he allowed himself to be blinded by his jealousy and proposed the humans a dilemma: their monarchs or life in eternal night.
The frightened humans sacrificed their leaders to the sun god. Isolated, cursed to an endless night, their humanity stripped, the six rulers were banished with their marquis. The latter let resentment and anger be born in them. They had lost everything, forced to live as nocturnal monsters, deprived of the warmth of the sun and the sweetness of human life. They turned to revenge. They turned to a future of blood and death for the humans who had betrayed them. But the monarchs, still attached to the humans, went to war against the marquis. Protecting their beloved people from the barbarity of these vampires.
****
The swords were clashing. The iron blade soiled with black blood sank into the body as easily as a knife into butter. The last grunts of lives corrupted by hatred and the need for revenge echoed through the forest, creating a bloody and terrifying melody within the green trees.
It was a war they could not lose. Despite the fatigue in their bones, despite the pain of the wounds on their bodies, despite the thirst that burned their throats at the sight of all that blood, at the smell of human blood... They could not fall into this dark curse. They will protect their people until the end.
Then they continued to wield their swords. Then they continued to kill again and again the unfortunate one who had entered the den of evil.
****
One day a prophecy came. A prophecy that allowed the Marquis to finalize their revenge. On the evening of an eclipse, a child will be born, and this child will be the solution to bring down on the world an eternal night.
When the child was born on Eclipse Day, the monarchs began a long struggle to protect him. For ten years they fought against the marquis and protected the child. Finally, the last marquis was killed and the child saved, with one last threat in the air: "When the moon turns red, I will come back for the child”.
The night of blood came and an umpteenth battle took place, again won by the monarchs. They sealed the marquis in a necklace. Nevertheless, their existence was still a source of jealousy for Helios, and thus a risk for humans. To protect their most precious possession, the monarchs decided to seal their souls in the necklace. Thus, Helios' gaze turned away from the humans of Tae Dale.
****
The four silhouettes approached the necklace. Such a small object containing a great threat. He knew this was not the best solution when they decided to carry out their plan. But it gave them the rest they needed to continue protecting the child and to rest from years and years of war.
Today was the last threat they faced. One last solution.
- Are you sure we're making the right decision? asked the smallest of the silhouettes.
- If we disappear from before his eyes, he will forget the jealousy in his heart, replied the man next to him.
- This is our last act as ruler of Tae Dale, added a deep, gravelly voice.
- …. For the people, refit the smallest
- For peace, added the deep voice again
- For Tae-dal, made the six men
****
However, a god never forgets his grudge. When Helios found himself mourning his son, his anger and sadness turned back to the monarchs. He put the most powerful curse he could on them, condemning them to an endless sleep in a chamber made of the remains of the solar wagon and deprived them of their powers. Their only escape: the blood of the descendants of the child they love and protect.
Haunted by nightmares and fear, then began their endless rest, and the years passed. But when someone had fun playing with magic, hundreds of years later, the threads of the curse became entangled, and the monarchs were awakened.
However, one does not come out of a nightmare with a pure, white mind. The evil that had invaded the marquis in the past had begun to consume the hearts of the monarchs. And when their eyes fell on the new world.....
- I think that, like Icarus, it is high time to go and burn our wings.

Disclaimer
A few small points before starting this story:
▶ Most of the characters are real people, I don't know them, so their character may look different from what they are (and they'll probably be OOC at some point). I'm not saying that their image is mine either. For people who don’t like the fact that I'm using existing people for my story, feel free to leave. There is only one OOC here, and all rights belong to me.
▶ The images are not mine. Everything comes from Google, so credit to their owners! If an image belongs to you and you don't want it to be used tell me and I will remove it.
▶ The basic context belongs totally to Oneus. The ideas, the theories used etc... are taken from this video: https://youtu.be/wQUZ29nq910 I found inspiration after watching this video. So no, the big ideas here are not mine (I'm not imaginative enough to do that). I just give "life" to what I've seen.
For details a little more precise:
☑ The story focuses on Oneus, but other Kpop band members will appear and will have their importance in the story. I don't know about the possibility of a sequel centered on another group...
☑ There will be no "romance". It is up to you to give the meaning of your choice to the closeness that there will be between certain characters...
☑ It's a story I write for fun, so it will be published as my inspiration and time go by.
☑ Spelling and I are in a complicated and toxic relationship mdr. A story of love and hate that I am trying to improve. I apologize in advance for any possible mistakes. Moreover English is not my native language.
☑ I'm not into happy endings, and I like to be dramatic. I don't guarantee that all the characters will stay alive until the end. Also, there will be potentially hard themes in this story, so I would advise you not to read if you don't like blood, death, torture etc...
☑ I don't bite, comment and come and talk if you wish :)

Plateform : https://www.wattpad.com/story/238540500-war-of-the-thrones-icarus
Summary :
Tae-dal, one kingdom, six monarchs, a common destiny in a world of nightmares.
Bathed by the winds, fed by rain and sun, the lands of the kingdom were green expanses, fields full of life, and lush forests. Men would come to worship their rulers almost as much as they worshipped their gods. And that did not please all the deities. Helios, the Sun God, began to envy the monarchs. Blinded by his feelings, he confronted humans with a dilemma: their monarchs or life in eternal night. The frightened humans sacrificed their leaders to the sun god. Isolated, cursed to an endless night, their humanity stripped, the six sovereigns were banished with their marquis.
One day a prophecy came. A prophecy that allowed the Marquis to finalize their revenge. But Destiny often decides that nothing should happen as planned. And Seijin's life will change when she is caught up in a world that was previously unknown to her.
Between the war that is looming, the need to flush out those who play with Magic, and the need for her to return to her world, Seijin will quickly learn that one should never try to get close to the sun.

“ Oh, I'm sorry, did I make you anxious? ”
I’m not an enthusiastic person. Let's say that a few things can excite me.
I'm the total opposite of my sister who's excited about anything and everything that concern her artist.
I don't really want to go to the concert, I don't want to meet my idol... I'm just content being here behind my screen streaming and jamming to their music, laughing at their videos.
But hey.... have you seen these men? Have you seen these fine specimen who makes my heart flutter? No?
Well look...look into their eyes, deep into their eyes and say....
