1895 AF silk visiting/walking dress

Hello everyone!

Here comes a little late Easter gift for you: a shiny 1895 dress for your vintage sims. The inspo picture shows the model in nature, so I assume it means it was supposed to be worn outside, as a walking/promenade dress. It comes from an 1895-97 collection - pinning it down exactly as 1895 is just my poorly educated guess, as I had to settle for something. I’m so glad I can finally move on from winter to spring pieces! Even though the nature seems a bit confused as to what season it’s supposed to be - we had a blizzard over here today, no kidding…

I can’t believe it’s only the second mid-1890s dress I made - the first one being my very first piece ever. The lack of dresses with huge puffs was precisely the reason why I learned to mesh in the first place, and it took me almost 2 years to finally go back to that original motivation!

Clara Dress

Recolors of @zurkdesign​ ‘s Sunday Dress in 18 shades from @sims4americangirlchallenge​ ‘s Dear America Palette.

Formal dresses in a selection of jewel tones and some neutrals (swatches below cut!), for your little Victorian and Edwardian girls. Named after my baby girl Clara Lombardo from my Decades Challenge (the girl in purple).

I needed this dress in more colors! I attempted to do multicolor accents, but alas, I’m not yet quite skilled or patient enough to separate the mesh into layers and color each layer separately.
