A video of Palestinian children holding signs and thanking the student protesters of Yale, Harvard, and Columbia University . . . saying "We love you." This one made me cry. Those kids have been through so much, they've seen death and destruction that no one should have to endure, especially not a child. But knowing that someone out there in the wide world, the world that isn't penned in by barricades, sees their struggles and cares, meant enough to them that they made a video.

Another one I've heard is "Well, the protesters in the 60s were willing to take the consequences of their actions, which was good", and like . . . no, they weren't "willing" to be terrorized by police dogs, beaten, and blasted with fire hoses. They weren't like "This is fine. :)"

I had a Baby Boomer boss who would reminisce about how the cops would harass teenage boys and young men for being "longhairs". Meaning, for having long hair. That was it, that was all it took for the police to abuse you back then, looking SLIGHTLY different from what you were "supposed to". And those were the white kids! If you were any other ethnicity you faced even more oppression!

i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.

If you're an artist/creative of any sort that is interested in doing commissions to raise money for Palestinian charities/GoFundMe's/etc or a person interested in commissioning something and want your money to go to a good cause at the same time, we're trying to set up some resources to help make this easier for everyone!

First, we're trying to create a unified, easy-to-reference database where artists can share their commission info and commissioners can find artists who make the kinds of art they're interested in more easily!

Second, we've created a Discord to help connect artists with commissioners that is intended to work in conjunction with the database!
