First of all, I hope you enjoyed meeting that lovely hunk of Kiwi. Secondly, I hope so! Real life has been so chaotic the past year that writing has come in fits and starts, but I’m working through it as best as I can . Just sloooooow as hell.

Lawyered - Chapter 27

First Chapter - Previous Chapter

While the traffic was ordinarily horrendous, attending law school in New York City did have advantages. The variety of lunch options within a 4 block radius of the main building was one. Being able to eat said lunch on a patio overlooking TriBeCa and parts of Chinatown and Little Italy was another.

It was 1pm in New York, which made it only 6pm in England and the perfect time for a Skype call. With her back to the sprawling cityscape, the outdoor seating space served as the perfect venue where no one would intrude on their call.

The wind lightly blew through her hair, sending strands across her face as she clicked on the button to start their call and only partially obscuring the handsome face looking back at her. Despite this, his grin was clearly visible when he laid eyes on her. “Hi, beautiful.”

Lawyered - Status Update and Reader Question

Hi all!

So... I’ve been working on the next chapter of Lawyered for what seems like forever. Which, okay, that isn’t wrong.

I finished a scene that’s roughly 3 pages long and it feels like there isn’t anything that would fit before or after it, so it should standalone. But I don’t want to post/submit a chapter that would disappoint readers with its length.

So, what say all of you? Are you okay with a short chapter?

Update for @annvincible - You are correct in that I lived. But just barely. (There was a LOT of unnecessary flexing and the full out Boston bro thing he had going was a bit of a struggle there for a while.

Hello there! I am hoping within the next week or two. I am a few pages into Chapter 27 and am still sort of deciding what will transpire during this interlude in which they’re separated by a few oceans.

I’ve been watching a lot of Push lately since it’s been on movie channels quite frequently this weekend. I have the Jay Leno’s Garage episode taped, but I fear for my sanity since I have quite a bit of a thing for men driving stick, and well, here we are. XD
