I can not believe that our sweet, smiley Miles is 4 months old today!! 😍😍😍 time has gone by super fast since he came into this world and yet it feels like he has been ours forever! this month, we had a great report from the nephrologist and our little man is healthy and growing just like he should! 😊😊😊 at month 4, this boy still LOVES bath time, has learned to like his swing and jumper, takes less naps in the day but sleeps mostly through the night, only waking a few times. 🙊🙊🙊 it's a miracle. he loves mirrors and can hold his toys now. somehow he finds a way to stick everything in his mouth. 😜he still loves jabbering at us, gives us slobbery kisses, and we got our first laugh out of him this month! we hope all this drool means there are teeth on the way and we have witnessed him rolling over, but our boy has absolutely no interest in practicing it. 😂😂😂 we love how good natured he has become, only fussing now when he is tired. he is all about the smiles and eyebrows these days! we love him so much! can not imagine our lives without this sweet little chimichanga. 💙💙💙 #milespaulweekbyweek #inlovewiththisboy #fourmonthsold #happycincodemayo (at Glenview, Illinois)

THEY DID IT!!!!! 🐻🐻🐻 I moved to Chicago and became a fan just in time to watch this really intense last win! I'm not sure how my husband did this Cubs fan thing his whole life, because tonight's game about did me in. 😳😳😳 I have received a full Cubbies education the last few years, everything from goats to black cats, Harry Caray to (dare I say it) Bartman and I am sooooo happy I got to be here to watch this incredible group of hilarious, talented guys break through all the nonsense and win this!!! today is a national day of remembrance for pregnancy and infant loss. 💙💗💙💗💙 I've always been very open about our three babies that didn't make it into our arms and returned to live with their Heavenly Father. there is a very dark and heavy emptiness I feel when remembering the pain and heartache of each one.. and it is always contrasted by the bright optimism and faith that I will be able to see our babies when I return home myself. whether you have lost a baby in the first trimester or after delivery, the pain is the same. like all angel-baby moms, I will always wonder who they would have been. 👼🏼👼🏼👼🏼 today makes me especially grateful for our strong and healthy baby Miles waiting for his debut in January. 💙 the past 26 weeks have been very nerve-wracking and stressful. I brace myself for bad news at every doctors appointment and panic if I go too long without feeling him kick. I'm not sure if that's something I will ever get over. pregnancy is hard for everyone without all the added worry and paranoia. the good news...I am confident that the Lord's hands are in all things and we will meet this baby when we meet him. 👊🏻 "I could only be grateful when I realized I would rather have known you for a moment than never at all. had a really good prenatal visit this morning where we got to see our little kickboxer. guyssss...tonight i had the most amazing priesthood blessing from our sweet home teacher. 👊🏻 last week, I met with my bishop and he suggested I get a blessing for the rest of this pregnancy. after our three miscarriages, there is a lot of fear and worry that I experience even when I try my hardest to be positive. sometimes it feels totally out of my control to stress about this baby and worry myself silly. the calming words that I heard tonight in this blessing are exactly what I needed to hear. I know that my Heavenly Father is mindful of my husband and I in our efforts to become parents. I also know that even when it felt like I was all alone in my struggle to deal with these losses and understand why seemingly bad things happen to good people who are really trying..I wasn't alone at all. my Heavenly Father never left. and He never will leave me. your future is only as bright as your faith and I have complete and utter faith that the Lord only wants good things for us. tonight I had so much peace and calm enter my heart about this sweet little boy. we love you so much miles and we can not even wait to meet you. 💛💛💛 (at Chicago, Illinois)

it's officially feeling like fall over here! 🍃🍁🍂 one super fun thing about traveling for a few weeks is the stack of reading material I came back to! I brought back a car load of thoughtful baby gifts from my Utah family and friends and walked in the door to even more from my Chicago family! spent the last few weeks traveling from Chicago to North Dakota to Utah and back seeing ALMOST all of my family. (missed Caden and Seanypants!) my sisters and mom put on a great baby shower where I received so much love and well-wishes for our baby Miles. 💙💙💙 now I'm back in ND visiting family before I make my long road trip back home to my husband. it's been a super great time with everyone and im so happy and blessed I have such sweet and generous people in my life.
